I don't think I got my 50% off for the clearance item that I purchased. Nothing was wrong with the product itself (box of holiday themed fruity pebbles). It seemed like they were just trying to get it off their shelves and out of the store by marking it down. It said on the cereal box sticker that the regular price was $2.47 and then the words Now 50% off under that and then a barcode under that. All of that was stamped on the orange sticker on top of the box so I assumed that I was getting 50% of $2.47 but when I went to self checkout, I never got the 50% off. I didn't realize until I had already finished paying, left the store and started eating so it felt like it was too late to do any returns or price corrections. I think maybe it was because I didn't scan the tiny orange sticker's barcode during checkout. I assumed that the bigger barcodes that get scanned first by the scanners would have whatever the smaller sticker says built into it. I'm honestly disappointed by their system and feel like they scammed me, charging me full price for an item they were trying to get rid of. There was no reason for me to know that I needed to scan the specific much smaller barcode to get the marked down price. Other places that I've worked at have the discounts built into any barcode on the product. The interior was clean and it felt like if I needed help, I could've easily asked. However, I used self checkout and didn't interact with any of the staff. There were quite a few self checkout stands which was nice because it seemed many were in use when we got there to checkout but there was still one leftover for us. My friends got arizona tea which had some buy four and pay $0.79 each sale instead of the dollar each usual price. They appeared to enjoy their drinks. You can't really go wrong with arizona tea after all. I checked out the price for the vegan yogurt and I remember thinking that I could find it for cheaper elsewhere so I did not purchase it.

My revies is in the pic Comme. Some of the employees don't care to do their job correctly and then make you feel like it's your fault. The checker Ray is horrible and always has to ring my order twice due to errors and check your receipts cause the sale prices don't ring correctly either. I was over charged $7 yesterday

Admittedly, I'm not the grocery shopper in the family. Until Wegman's comes to SoCal (probably not ever going to happen!), I won't be very interested in this kind of marketing. Dear Hubby is retired, so he does the food shopping. The other night when Adored Grandson was with us, and Jamba Juice across the parking lot was closed, we walked over to Albertsons while Dear Hubby was ordering take out from Atlas Mediterranean. AG was in need of a protein drink after his football workout. We got him stocked up with Muscle Milk and a few other items. There were a number of items on sale in the sports drink aisle, which was helpful and timely. Shelves looked well stocked. I've been in the store a few times previously. One impression is that the front entrance is awkward. It feels cramped and restrictive, versus wide-open and welcoming. I think that space devoted to a Team Shop up front is an odd choice. I understand supermarkets want to squeeze as much revenue out of the public as possible, but I wouldn't think to head to one for a football jersey. Just sayin'. Strange to me. One day I'll have to really walk the store and form a more rounded impression. Until then, I wasn't bowled over with visual joy during my visit.

Great service and fresh food. Bobby in the deli department was amazingly helpful and kind.

I only stop here when I can't find it in the smaller store. The prices are high.

Vons/Macys gift card final review. Part 3…read more After shopping at Vons for over 35 years were done. As for Macys, were done with them too. Vons in both Simi Valley and Moorpark have been steadily declining most notably in the last five years. Both their selection and service has become very sparse. I for one do not like the obvious corporate decision to herd shoppers to the "self checkout" line. Now they are down to one live person available for checkout, it's just pathetic. The straw that broke the camels back was poor service I received when I purchased a Macys gift card at the Vons in Simi Valley on Cochran Street. They informed me that the gift card was tampered with and the $200 dollars on it was stolen. They contacted Macys gift card department "GC" and had me wait on phone and deal with Macys poor service. Sorry Vons, I will be shopping at Gelsons going forward, although they are more expensive, at least I will get better service and nicer cleaner environment to shop at. Now, as for Macys, just like most of big brand stores these days, customer service is non existent. My simple claim for $200 dollars could have been resolved within a week. But after exchanging emails with someone named Sean, at Macys GC department, and complying with what they asked for, (photos of the card in question and the receipt given at point of purchase) he responded twice that the receipt in the photo did not match with the card sold. After i informed him that store managers confirmed that was the receipt and card that was paid for, and he could contact them (store number included) to verify that, he just replied that the receipt was not a match. Sorry Macys, we will be shopping at Kohl's going forward.

Adding a quick note about finding gluten-free pre-made cake at this Von's. Our neighbor, who's a…read moredear friend, has to have gluten free baked goods. It was her birthday this week and while I'm stuck at home recuperating from a medical thing, I had helped out Dear Hubby by doing research online for who would have gluten free cake near us. Vons and Ralphs came up with options. Ralphs is not as convenient, and I like this Vons store, so I suggested he go there. Once he did, he had trouble finding anyone who works in the store who knew where said cakes would be. Even at the bakery counter they sent him off in a vague direction. He wasn't finding the gluten free baked goods at all until just before leaving the store and heading elsewhere, he saw a supervisor. Once he explained what he was looking for and how he'd been to different locations in the store without success, the supervisor walked him to the correct area. The supervisor also made a point to tell the bakery clerk where the right spot was, too. I'm sure it's frustrating for management at stores to have employees who either haven't been trained properly or who don't retain information that would make for a better customer experience. At that point in DH's description of his visit, I would have given three stars. However, the strawberry cream layer cake looked very yummy once he bought it and brought it home. And, best of all, our friend loved it! That was a special treat for her as she wouldn't normally go out any buy such a cake for herself. That, along with a homemade card, made her feel special. For that, Vons will get a bump to four stars. Still, it would be helpful to have staff members be familiar with special request kind of foods - like plant-based cheeses, gluten-free baked goods, etc. Just saying.

The store was busy, but everything was so well organized, spotless, and welcoming. You could immediately tell the staff takes pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for customers. What stood out the most was how helpful and friendly everyone was throughout the store. Every employee I encountered seemed positive, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. That level of customer service is rare these days and definitely deserves recognition. Assistant Manager Kim was especially amazing. She was energetic, vibrant, and incredibly kind. Even while she was clearly busy handling other responsibilities, she still took the time to personally direct me to the sandwich area and made sure I knew exactly where to go. Her attitude and professionalism truly made my visit memorable. The sandwich deli team was also outstanding -- fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. The deli area itself was immaculate, and the service was seamless despite how busy the store was. Overall, this was one of the best grocery store experiences I've had in a long time. I would absolutely recommend this Sprouts location to anyone in the area. Excellent customer service, a beautifully maintained store, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers.

Particularly, after mom passed away, they help me out when it comes to buying food such as the hot and ready stuff. The atmosphere is great, lively, especially when it's busy. There are plenty of employees around if you need help. The store is generally clean. The items are stocked. Plenty of parking space. Getting out is a problem like many stores. Sometimes, they have few people working the counters while there are many people waiting. If you have a few items, I recommend, use the self-checkouts. As far as prices go, you need to use the app as well as look at the paper ads instead of throwing them away. Use coupons if you can. There are great deals, but understand if you don't, this is a grocery store. Traditionally, grocery stores are almost always more expensive than places like Target, Walmart, Trader Joe's, food markets, etc. It's always been that way. But it's also the times. Inflation has gone up over the years, so prices are higher than most. It would be great if the politicians cared when you vote for them to do their job. Not stand around and tell the public, live with it. Which is why, many times, we have different people elected. Hold them accountable, not enable them. Maybe one day, inflation & prices will eventually come down when we the people elect politicians who actually care, not say things that make you nod your head and smile. In the end, I like coming to this Vons location. I've had great experiences shopping here. While I don't do my main grocery shopping here, I come for the deli, and sometimes for the fruit and vegetables. They do have great prices, but use the app and ad paper when shopping.

Go when they open, grab the bacon, order the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, sit outside, and lean into the absurdly California lineup of flavors and ingredients. Easy if you go early My top items: Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie (5/5): Almond milk, strawberries, banana, avocado, dates, maple syrup, collagen peptides, sea moss gel, and coconut cream sounds like something a wellness influencer invented during a spiritual awakening, but somehow it absolutely works. Yeah, twenty dollars for a smoothie is borderline criminal, but this thing tasted incredible. Creamy, rich, naturally sweet, and weirdly luxurious without feeling heavy Beeler's Hickory Smoked Bacon (5/5): Wow. Easily some of the best bacon I've had in a long time. We went during lunch time so I'm aware that was part of the parking lot fullness, but the staff had this almost apathetic attitude. I saw a piece of pizza I hadn't seen and wanted to try. A couple employees were having a convo at the counter. I just waited to see how long they were going to stand there. Longer than you'd expect. I mentioned Milo earlier. Rockstar in the cafe, gave us samples, answered questions about things I didn't see. I was told to try the battered portobellos. I guess they didn't have them that day but I appreciated that Milo checked. That was the most pleasant experience and Milo's customer service was aligned with what I've come to expect. Checkout was lacklustre. This is the first store I've been at that had a conveyor belt. I went through twice. The first person seemed like he didn't want to be there. The second I asked about the new membership tiers and she wasn't sure then she was surprised at my level. I got clarification around the program from someone at my store, and she showed me where vip line is. It just wasn't a vibe I've been used to over any of the stores I've been to. Maybe it's calabasas, idk. I can say I went. 8 down, 3 to go. Ya, Erewhon is probably my personality atp. Ah well, there's worse things!
