Fantastic place to go grab a quick barbecue lunch / tritip sandwich to go. This upscale market/pit has been here for years. Always delicious and highly recommended if in the area. This time I just ordered the tritip on the side with some potato tots. I prefer the spicy barbecue sauce but they give you 4 to choose from. Enjoy

    So much Tri-Tip! About $17

I was craving a Burger today and I've heard good things about Green Acres Burger so I decided to get a Cheeseburger today and it was really good! If you're gonna come here for a burger they only serve until 5:00pm! There's nothing like a Juicy Cheeseburger right off the grill and that's what they have at Green Acres! Fresh vegetables! Tater Tots were great and I love their BBQ sauce! Amazing service as always here and [[HIGHLIGHT]]lots of places to sit and eat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love this place!

The Sauce is Money! Sweet Heat!

Found myself on this part of town (Simi Valley) and had to stop to grab Brisket Sandwich. Green Acres did not disappoint. Their Habanero Sauce is Bomb & most of you know I don't do sauce. I like my Brisket n Tri Tip undressed. However this sauce is Amazing. After all that Texas and New Mexico Brisket while on the road last month I'll still say Acres is still better. Top Shelf in my book. Simplistic Perfection. Robert Nick Navarro still keeps the Crown for Best All around Brisket. Good way to start my morning and weekend The Sauce was so good the owner gave me a care package to take home. He knows I have Smoker Skills and am doing ribs this weekend. You guys are doing it right. Keep up the good work. Cheers! Six Navarro Pit Master

Where all the au jus went

The last two take out orders were messed up, I give up going here. First, they literally left out a sandwich. Now, they put the au jus upside down in the bag and it leaked everywhere, leaving only a little bit. It's like they don't know what they are doing or something. These last two trips have only made us frustrated so we will just avoid it here going forward. We don't need to pay for frustration. Guess what, a lid and foil doesn't mean you can toss the au jus cup in the bag upside down. We paid $ 30+ for our take out meal. What a waste.

The market itself is nice with an amazing assortment of sausages and marinated meats and pre made salads and other foods. *This review is about the outdoor BBQ. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A fun, great smelling, mouthwateringly delicious, well laid out space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Brian took our order, he was kind and very helpful. Everyone there was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped, while searching for a place to eat, and the smoke and the smell brought us in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs, tater tots and Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The ribs were perfect, not sauced (a sign of great ribs) with several fabulous bbq sauces to choose from. The tater tots were the exact crispiness you'd hope for and a generous serving. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was huge. A garlic butter grilled bun , piled high with tender tri tip, covered with grilled onions and peppers and melted cheese. I even ordered one to go and got the bun separately and I swear it was a a pound of meat. This is worth a 23 minute drive anytime!

This is a quaint market that's been around for about 50 years. The finest, old fashioned full service Butcher Shop in Ventura County, with quality meat grades, marinated beef, chicken, sausages and pork. They use the best ingredients and have weekly specials! The Tri-Tip Sandwich is a customer favorite. The one I had wasn't as juicy as I would have liked. 8/10 I did have a couple employees ask if I needed help. Customer service for BBQ sandwiches was a little slow, even though it wasn't super busy in the store. Local Express Delivery or Pickleball Up, Meat, Grocery, Produce and BBQ. Catering available.

Old fashioned BBQ, lively atmosphere, love this place, blah blah blah and more blah blah because Yelp requires me to type 85 characters.

How is their shrimp and scallops? Are they wet or dry?

Not sure what "wet or dry" means, but the scallops I saw today looked fantastic. (They didn't look dry, if that helps.) l Everything they put out looks super fresh and is gorgeously displayed. They clearly take great pride in their product. Hope…

They have high-quality cuts of meats and a small, but nicely curated shop with delicious snacks and pantry staples. I like to come here for their picanha, priced at $19.99 a lb. Usually $20 allows me to walk out the door with two modestly sized steaks that become spectacular when they're finished on my stainless-steel pan at home. I also like their frozen meatballs in their freezer, which adds some really nice savory flavors to my spaghetti and meatballs. They have really high end cuts of meat like wagyu and Japanese A5 meats here; however, that's not really what I come looking for. Their pantry is nicely stocked with quality ingredients. It's hard to not pass up their delicious pork rinds (from 4505 or Southern Recipe) or Mutti marinaras. And if I don't feel like cooking, I can come for lunch in order to walk away with a sandwich that they can make for me. Overall, this is a small shop, that's thoughtfully stocked with some really high-quality ingredients for me to make a nice dinner at home!

They prepare food fresh on the spot for you in the back corner. Note it is strictly to-go, no dine in options. The gentlemen in the store were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to answer our questions about how they prepare their fresh meats on the grill. Many, many thanks for the grilling demo! The marinated meats available all displayed in the case and they pull straight from there, it's fresh and made to order. We decided on a plate of chicken breast and a plate of beef lule (ground beef kabob). After placing our order, we had some time to browse the groceries and imported goods in the store. You'll find a wide variety of Middle Eastern and European goods. We picked out some imported Italian and Russian snacks as well as some lavash bread to eat with hummus at home. At home, we feasted! The meats are marinated and seasoned to perfection, tender and flavorful. The guys even cooked up a few pieces of pork ribs for us to try. And let me say, we may have to get a plate of just those next time!! The plate comes with salad (tomato, cucumber, dill, onion), hummus, lavash and rice. Don't sleep on their garlic sauce, that stuff is potent and HEAVENLY. Portion sizes are large and shareable in my opinion and prices are reasonable for the amount, and more importantly, the quality, of food you're getting. I wish I had some pictures but we inhaled our food before thinking about. Next time!

They have an assortment of raw meats that you get to choose from and they cook it as you order it. That means you'll wait 15-20 minutes but the food here is worth the wait. I ordered the chicken breast plate with a side of garlic sauce. The chicken breast was juicy and tender. The garlic sauce on the side is a MUST. I also asked for some slices of lime/lemon on the side and they were generous enough to put some in my bag. The people working there were warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone in the area :) Im removing one star because my portion of chicken breast was a bit small compared to what I'm seeing in the photos from other yelpers.
