The food was good. We had a table of 7 and half the food was brought out, then 10 minutes later, the others were served. The fish basket was listed on the menu at $13.50 but when the bill came, it was $14.45. There was no itemized bill, there was no way to know if that included tax or something else. I have been here many times and usually I have a great meal, but Sunday was a big miss unfortunately. Our service was pretty bad so I wasn't even able to voice my concern over the overdone fried pork tenderloin. I also wanted to order another beer but since she didn't come around, I just drank my wife's water. I'm giving it 4 stars because this was just a bad experience that isn't normal of this place. Every single time we order without doubt, we show up at the time they give us and it's never ready and have to wait an extra 20mins, almost like the food wasn't even started until we got there because then something is always missing, the foods never cooked to temp, there's always stuff we don't ask for on our food, and they don't bother to walk up to you and ask if you had a takeout, instead they just stare and walk past as your waiting to pay and pick up. The burger I had was excellent. Well seasoned and I always like it when an establishment asks you how you want your burger cooked. My tablemates ordered the grilled tenderloin (really good!) and boneless chicken wings (also really good!). The cream ale I had was terrific and my daughter ordered the Arnold Palmer beer and said it was delicious. read more

Let me start with saying the food here is incredible. I've had multiple items and never been disappointed. Their fries are really good. And the beer is great. My dad really loved the mad cream one. I knocked off two stars because it just not safe here in the current environment. No one even thought about wearing a mask here. Including the staff which was really surprising. It's very weird to me that no one thought to take any precautions whatsoever during a world wide pandemic. Hopefully I don't get covid, but if I do, I know where it most likely happened. Beer was blah but the main complaint was the old lady bar tender! She was extremely rude and acted like we'd done something wrong by coming in. They'd only been open an hour! We asked what type of beer one of their brews was and she responded with "it's just beer..." Went here yesterday with my wife and their beer is amazing! 4 5 oz. beers for $6 is a really good price for a flight and they have a lot of different variety. Food is pretty good too but nothing spectacular. Atmosphere is kind of like a sports bar and service was a bit slow but they only had 1 cook and 1 server. read more

Stopped here during a week-long stay in Rome City and was pleasantly surprised. The bartender/server on staff was the only one working FOH, but she was amazingly friendly and attentive. The food (Eggsplosion Burger for me, pizza for my gentleman friend) was delicious, as were the drinks (tequila/soda/lime for me, Double Trouble for him). Drove 57 min to get here. Part of the Northern Indiana Beer Trail. Seriously don't waste your time. No service whatsoever. The taller gentleman that uses more oil product in his hair than what my engine can hold, will literally look at you and walk on by. I could have sworn I have written a review for here already, but I guess not. Burgers are awesome. Fresh made, never frozen. Fish platter is classic and good. Very friendly folk. I've only ever been here for lunches, so it is quiet then and I don't remember anyone smoking inside during lunch time. It may happen, but I don't remember it. I know that it gets smokey in the evening and louder, so I have avoided those times as that just doesn't appeal to us anymore...but if you are so inclined to smoke, play billiards and listen to the jukebox or sometimes live music, this would be the place for you. read more

I stumbled on this brewery because of the detour on US 6. I am so glad that the bridge was out and it made me go through Albion Indiana. This is a great little brewery with a great variety of beer and the owner tending bar and answering questions. I happen to stop in on Wednesday which is fish tacos on special. Probably the best Midwest fish tacos I have ever ate. read more
