Quoted me a price of $108, but charged me $123 Then, after I returned from a 2 week overseas trip, I learned that my mother NEVER received the delivery (we have doorbell cameras and they showed no delivery on the date or time they are claiming). I called them and they offered to redeliver, but of course, since they already missed Mother's Day, I asked for a refund instead. The delivery was made very quickly to the party I wanted it sent to. I got notification that they received the flower bouquet and I was extremely happy for that . One of the reasons why I take local streets from White Plains to New Rochelle- instead of getting on 95, is because I might miss out on what's around- like Alborada Florist at the corner of Huguenot and Rhodes Sts. The almost whimsical 'Alice in Wonderland' design comes straight out of the storybook and brightens up the block with intertwining branches and fresh evergreens. Talk about visibility! Full of inspiration, the owner began planning out a fairy tale style florist shop with charm and man...did he do it! I know one other florist shop- but that's in ritzy Scarsdale. But here in New Rochelle or surrounding areas, this is it! Alborada's small size, only adds more magic. I've searched for tall and curly branches to use in our second home- so when I saw them, I purchased 5 branches at $5 each. Branches aside, if you want to say Happy Birthday, Thank You, Congratulations, etc- nothing sends the message like an arrangm't. We are in Colorado with family living in New Rochelle. We have ordered flowers from Alborada for years and have never been disappointed. They put great pride in what they do. We trust them with our orders without hesitation. Not only do we order for family members' homes, but we also order arrangements for two gravesites of loved ones. Of course, any time we are in New Rochelle, we stop by in person to pick up flowers. ---- We actually just ordered flowers to be delivered to the cemetery as it would have been my mother-in-law's birthday yesterday. I try my best to patronize our local businesses in New Rochelle, NY. We have been ordering all our floral arrangements from Alborada Florist (A.J) for the last ten years and have never been disappointed. We encourage all our neighbors and friends to order from Alborada's Florist for all their floral needs. We are always amazed at the quality and size of the arrangements we receive. Alborada's prices are very reasonable and they never try to over-sell you. They make great suggestions and are professional and reliable. Now getting to our wedding... We needed flowers sent to our ceremony venue and reception restaurant in Rye, NY. He was at all venues at exactly the time we requested. He helped plan floral bouquets and boutonnieres that looked exquisite with the color scheme of the bridesmaids. He came the day of the wedding to the ceremony venue with buckets of freshly cut flowers to decorate and create a wedding arch that was breathtaking. He provided the runner. Alborada's Florist's reasonable delivery charge included delivery and breakdown and removal of the arch after the wedding. The center pieces were delivered to the reception restaurant. Every centerpiece was beautiful and was admired by all our guests. Most importantly our daughter had tears in her eyes when she saw her bouquet and the jewels they added which we will save as keepsakes. Again, I want Alborada (A.J.) and his staff to know how grateful I am to put up with all my questions and requests and last minute changes. You always had a smile on your face and your confidence made me feel we were in good hands. I ordered last minute flowers via the website for Mother's Day. The flowers were set to arrive on the day of and did not. I did not receive a phone call or email, explaining the situation or the delay due to lack of flowers. I called the next day and asked what had happened and the man explained he could not get flowers due to the virus and had a lot of backed up orders, all legit, but honestly NOT my problem. If you're running a business you should be able to handle the orders coming in or limit what you're selling. He then asked if I would like my order delivered and I said yes. My mother received the flowers a few hours later and they do not look anything like what I ordered. They're tiny, different flowers, and look terrible. My girlfriend also placed an order for her mother that also did not arrive and when the man called her, he explained he did not deliver to her address. Now, why would the website show they deliver to the address and it not be the case? I will be calling for a full refund. It's unfortunate that my experience was not as those described here. We walked in and asked for small flower arrangements for a party, and the man told us 75 is the "cheapest he could do" which was completely absurd since the arrangements we wanted were so tiny. We went to another florist down the street and they charged 40 happily. The other florist even did a trial of the arrangement and put it together for us so we can see. This place was really unprofessional and clearly just trying to make a few extra bucks by overcharging. Way too overpriced. Save your money and go somewhere better. read more

My boyfriend surprised me with a 3 foot teddy bear, chocolates, and roses totaling about $300. The next day he went back with the $150 bear (still wrapped in it's original plastic) to see if he could get two additional ones of the same size and a couple of smaller ones for his daughters so they could have a family of the same exact bear. He had purchased the last bear and figured bringing it in would help them source the bear he wanted. As soon as he walked in the owner assumed he wanted to return it and immediately screamed "NO REFUNDS! BYE!". My boyfriend then said "no refunds?" because he was confused as to why the owner would immediately yell "no refunds" without even welcoming him to the establishment and finding out what he wanted. The owner continued to berate him without giving him the opportunity to state why he had come back with the bear. My boyfriend left feeling humiliated. I can't believe the owner did not even greet him and behaved so unprofessional not even caring that there were other customers in the shop. I just read through some of the reviews and he is the problem. He is hurting his own business. Needless to say, we will never patronize this place again. read more

I've used Alborado 3 times already. I've never been there in person but I request over the phone and OMG they wow me each and every time. I leave them to create and that is exactly what they do. After speaking to the owner there and telling him my budget of $50.00 he arranged an absolutely amazing bouquet for me. Quite possibly the nicest bouquet that I've ever bought for "$50.00". Once I got to the check out, they asked me to pay $60.00 because the vase I picked was $10.00 more. Doh! I guess I should've known, all the flower shops do the same thing for the most part. This place is not as big as some of the local competition but the flowers lasted me nearly 2 weeks. Very impressive. They take credit cards as well and deliver locally for free if you spend $50 or more. Parking is easy and they pack everything very nicely for you to throw in to the back seat of your car. read more

When I called the next day to find out what happened, the owner said that they had too many orders to handle, that there was an issue with the credit card number (which was a good credit card but the woman must have written it down wrong), and that they didn't have time to call me to fix the problem! The owner offered to deliver them--a day late--for Mother's Day. I declined. The one thing they do is deliver flowers, and they failed to do that. read more
