I drove by on Sunday and was able to get into the complex. I drove around and it looked clean from the outside, (driving through the parking lot) and it was quiet. I emailed Brian again to see if I could take a tour. He told me they had availability from 8-4 and they'd be closing at 12 on Wednesday and be off Thursday and Friday for thanksgiving. My bf and I were thinking about applying to another spot, but I told him let's take a look here albeit smaller, lower in price and it includes the W/D. I took time off work, using 2 hours of my VAC time and found myself running a little late. I called at the 3:50 and told him that I was running late that I'd be there around 3:56 that I just want to take a look at the room don't even need a super detailed tour. He said if I got there in the next 5 minutes I could be there, but he said they have a hard closing of 4 pm for the showroom. I explained that I'd be there before 4 and that I used vacation time and there was more traffic than expected and I would hope they have more flexibility and understanding for potential tenants. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, but he said he would be the person to speak to since they are privately owned. I'm just bummed out, used my vacation time, and just hoped for some flexibility. They should include their office hours and then showroom hours on their email signature and other information that shows their hours.

This was super convenient! Just a short drive away is the renaissance shopping area which is also really nice. I think most people keep to themselves but I would say everyone is generally pretty friendly. I liked the pet stations that were around the property. Unfortunately, we were forced to look for another place to live due to an unprovoked homophobic attack by our downstairs neighbor. Police were called and she was arrested, but what followed was almost worse than the incident itself. The property management refused to do anything! We sent over the arrest record, video of the arrest, photos where she egged our apartment and nothing was done. The conduct of the tenant in the apartment below us was clearly in violation of the lease (unless Aspire is okay with homophobia?) but nothing was done. They didn't even have the decency to clean the egg off the side of our building as requested. I sent several emails and phone calls asking to escalate the situation to someone higher than the property manager as it seemed she was unwilling to do anything but after that, it was just silence. I realize the above scenario is incredibly specific, but if something like that went unaddressed, I wonder how many other complaints are falling on deaf ears. If not for the above, I think we might have stayed longer despite the high cost of living there. Not just in rent, but the absurd cost to do laundry and hope the dryer you put money into decides to work that day. The cost of utilities exploded in recent years without any explanation. The grounds used to be clean and well maintained, but in recent months was looking pretty bad with kids' toys and bikes strewn across the property. Hopefully they have gotten that under control but it seems unlikely. The worst part in our last months of living there was the lack of communication. Years ago if any major work or inspection was happening, we would get notified way in advance. Before we moved, we were getting notifications on our door less than 24 hours before the noted time. Good luck trying to talk to anyone! The office has posted hours but more likely than not, you'll see a closed sign. I think the neighborhood is great, but there are a lot of other options in the area and I recommend looking around before settling on Aspire. I really loved living here before the property management switch. I'm not sure I would recommend it now.

She was quick to respond to all the questions I had prior to applying for the unit. I have small children and had questions about the area, schools, and safety and she was overall friendly and informative. The assistant manager Star was also very helpful and made our application process run smooth. She was quick at answering any questions I had from the documents that needed to be filled out for the application approval to random things about my unit. I am pleased to have them as the apartment manager and assistant manager of Kendall Brook apartments. The unit I'm in came with stainless steel appliances which made the unit appearance better. I also like that there's a laundry room on site with upgraded washer and dryers. I haven't had any issues with neighbors everyone usually keeps to themselves. If I have one complaint is that the outside hallways appear to be dirty but could be easily fixed with a pressure wash. Overall experience is good.

We lived at the Kendall Brook Apartments for about 3 years. I'll give my experience a 3.5…read more The reason it isn't a 5/5 is because: 1. Management could be better. Denise, the property manger barely spoke to us the entire 3 years we were there. She was hard to get in contact with and although she lived on our side of the apartments, she rarely spoke to us. Even if she walked past us in the parking lot, she wouldn't smile or say hello, complete opposite of Estrella. The Assistant manager, Estrella was really helpful the entire time we were there, she was responsive, and answered any questions we had and she wasn't even the manger on our side of the apartments. Estrella was also usually the one who would answer the phone when you would call the leasing office, so we were able to communicate with her easily. Even when we would have complaints of the residents that were being loud or were fighting on our side, Estrella was always the one who would come and handle things. We could never really rely on Denise, for years I thought Estrella was the Property manager since she was the one always helping us. 2. The amenities weren't always up to par in my opinion. For the majority of my time there, not all the washer and dryers would be working on our side of the apartments. We eventually did get new washer and dryers but that was only because there was a fire in the laundry room and so therefore they replaced all the washer and dryers thankfully, which was long over due. The pool and Jacuzzi weren't always clean. The bottom of the pool needs to be painted over so it looks cleaner but also when we first moved in and got in the pool there were all types of bugs and bits of trash in the pool that we had to try to clean ourselves. After that we never got in the pool again. 3. Some of the residents on the 1250 side. This isn't necessarily management's fault but it still affected our experience while living there. The first year we lived there we had these guys above us who would party and blast their music all day and all night long. It would be 4am/5am in the morning and the music was still blasting. They would have parties and someone had vomitted on the mail boxes while partying, they would scream and just disturb the peace. The second year we experienced a family across from us and on the second floor who were always loud and yelling outside. One of the girls would always walk around the complex and be on the edge gone cursing someone out. How the layout of the apartment is, if you are talking outside everyone can hear the conversation, so if you're cursing and being loud we can all hear it. There was also an abusive couple who I believe was on the second or third floor and would yell and curse each other out and we could all hear them. The third year we had an another abusive couple move in, one day they busted their window and there was blood on the concrete that we had to walk over to get to our apartment. * I also suggest not getting an apartment unit that faces the street. The street kendall is a pretty busy street so you're able to hear the cars all day and night. The windows don't conceal the sound so it sounds like you're outside. Denise was extremely kind and provided me with excellent customer service as well as helpful resources. She even greeted my little one and me with water and cookies, which made my son so happy! It's the small gestures like that which really stand out and make you feel cared for. The atmosphere at the community was also very pleasant--clean, warm, and inviting. I would love to see them stay long term .

Every now and then, the popsicle man manages to get in, and the one homeless (typically harmless) man manages to get in, but that is about it. I lived there for two years, and while it was quite brief, there were no major break-ins or burglaries. The parking is a joy. You can almost guarantee you will have more than enough parking spots left, especially for people who work at night. If you are lucky, you get shaded parking, which is helpful during the scorching summer. There is a cool playground at the heart of the complex, which is great for wearing your little ones out. The location to places makes this place very convenient. Superior Grocers is barely a five-minute drive (or a fifteen-minute walk.), there is a church that is 7 minutes away. One major issue I had was the new toilets, which had very low pressure when flushed. My tip: buy a bucket because you may need one for the first big flush. When you flush the first time, don't panic if it feels like it won't flush. Listen for the toilet tank fill-up, and then judge how much waste material you have liberated to know whether it's a bucket flush or regular flush. The lack of in-unit laundry ultimately made it increasingly uncomfortable and so, we moved. Other than that, this is generally a great place to live.

I moved in here this past December, and there has been problem after problem. My very first time…read morecoming to tour the apartments no staff even showed up. Ended up finding out that they did not work that day, I was a little irritated having driven out here for no reason but things happen so I rescheduled my tour. After that everything seemed good, the office employees were attentive. Now that definitely changed once I moved in. Immediately upon moving in there was a leak coming from the roof of my unit. Keep in mind the leasing agent told me the apartments were built to be super high quality, obviously not true if a brand new apartment complex already is leaking from the roof. I notified the office about it and no one ever came to fix it, the leak started getting worse so I submitted a work order. The maintenance guy came and stood on my counter with his shoes to see the area of the leak better. Honestly, I wouldn't have been so upset about it if he was like oh sorry I got my shoe prints on your counter. Instead he jumped hoped off and said he needed to talk to the office. Then didn't come back for two days nor did I hear any updates but did fix it once he came back. You also have to have renters insurance to rent, which is no problem I signed up for an insurance and one of the coverages was off so they had me update it before I could even sign the lease. Once updated they gave me the keys. Then one day I get a letter in the mail... they signed me up for a different renters insurance called assurant. No call no warning nothing. I had to reach out multiple times because I was not getting an answer until finally I got a hold of them and Daisy told me it was their mistake that they had not realized I updated the other policy. WHY ARE YOU SIGNING ME UP FOR THINGS WITHOUT MY CONSENT? no one even called to tell me that my insurance was "wrong." I again let it go because I didn't want to be difficult she said they would cancel it so I just left it at that. I was also given a promotion of 6 months rent at 50% but they messed up my rent and charged me the full amount. I messaged the leasing offices text number on multiple occasions and never once got a response. I called three days in a row and left multiple voicemails, still no response. Eventually I got a hold of them and the office employee Daisy told me I still had to pay the whole amount and they would credit the overpayment to my next months rent. Super inconvenient but I didn't want to cause too much of a hassle so I just paid it. I also asked for written confirmation via email that my overpayment would get credited + the renters insurance they wrongfully signed me up for would get cancelled and she said she would sent it over and never did. I even emailed the leasing office myself to follow up and still no response. Now my garage door has not been working for three days, I cannot get in or out of my garage. I again submitted a work order and no one has even responded or come out to look at the garage. The light on the motor of the garage door stays on and will not turn off, which I know is just going to cause my electric bill to increase again which will be something I have to pay due to the lack of response/help from the employees here. I will absolutely not be renewing my lease and if you are interested in coming to live at Serena village I would highly recommend finding somewhere else. OH BTW they also sell your information so expect a flood of spam calls and emails regarding housing as soon as you move in!

The manager did my property inspection and said I was probably going to get most of my deposit back and she could tell I really took care of it. They ended up taking my full deposit, most was for "painting." Attached are the photos of my apartment at move out. Look at the quality of it and decide if you are willing to turn yours in, in pretty much pristine condition, and still get a $1000 bill. I was so disappointed by what felt like a betrayal from the team who I trusted and really vibed with. All the reviews mentioned this happens and I even told the manager (Bri) I was anxious about it and she assured me it wouldn't happen to me. Also their parent company was sued for something similar and lost :)
