Excellent coffee and excellent service. This place seems like a few businesses rolled into one: coffee shop, cafe, gift shop / local goods market. Plus a boutique section with women's clothing and accessories, a good range of local craft items, and plenty of gift-shop browsing if you have a few minutes. The space is bright, clean, and creatively decorated without feeling precious. Prices are a little high for the value, but not in a way that ruins the experience. The real reason for five stars is the coffee and the barista. Superb espresso, made with care, and served by someone who clearly knows what she is doing. Alder + Co is actually two businesses, existing together. One is the coffee shop - who makes a great tea and probably good coffee but dont go for the food. The "menu" is slim and not made in house and the baked goods looked several days old. The second is the gift store - with a wildly wide selection it's honestly sensory overload. Some decent looking items, but way too many of them. I was expecting more hand crafted, locally made, less tacky jewelry and overpriced candles. Raymond lacks a lot of tourism shops so I guess it at least has this one. read more

We stopped by here on our way to the beach for a coffee break. Oh my goodness I love Alder and company. The atmosphere is awesome! We had coffee but the menu looked really good for food. They have lots of cool things to look at and buy and it is just a hidden gem in Raymond! Be sure to stop by, I know I will again when I am in the area. read more

Wow... idk??? My husband and I stopped in here for a quick brunch and coffee situation. The shop is gorgeous!! So many things to looks at and is so instgrammy!!! Loved it What I didn't love was the food (or the coffee for that matter). We ordered what was told to us as "local favorites" so I really don't know what's going on LOL. I got the breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the breakfast sandwhich. Both had weird green onions in the melted white cheese and the sandwich was literally a hamburger bun. The breakfast burrito was more like a weird turkey wrap thing that was partially hot and partially cold - I guess someone microwaved it?? Yuck! They also messed up our coffee order at first but then corrected it. (They were not busy so idk how that happened). We drank the remade coffee and sent the food back. That's saying a lot too bc we were really hungry!!! To be fair, we are from Texas and food preferences may be totally different here! read more

It's cute. It's quaint. It's got great coffee. Let's dive right in, menu looks great. Front looks great. Inside looks amazing. I got the Mamma Stephen's! The place is inviting, once inside it's a very cute little shop that has a good looking menu and smells of the aroma of good food and coffee. Outside waiting area nice and clean, and a wagon wheel museum next-door is pretty neat too! The only reason it didn't get five stars, I wasn't Wow'd or even really greeted. But in a small town it's hard sometimes! But everything else was amazing. Highly recommend to grab a bite or drink. read more

What a wonderful place to stop for you caffeine fix or a sweet treat. We stopped here on the drive from the Oregon coast to Seattle. There aren't a ton of coffee shops on the drive. Most are small drive through. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered two iced lattes with almond milk and one with sugar free carmel flavoring. My husband loved the sugar free flavoring. He said it was the best he's had. My iced latte was wonderful as well. Strong without being too strong and the perfect milk to espresso ratio. This is a great place to pick out some locally made gifts. They have everything from clothing to soup mixes. I found a lovely pair of cotton socks while waiting for my drinks. They have public restrooms in the back of the building that are very clean. I'd recommend stopping here if you're in the area. read more

What a lovely find! We got to try this place out on the way home from Grayland Beach. After a few days of camp food, it was perfect for a fresh and delicious meal made with care . Nice coffee shop with excellent sandwiches. Alder+Co. is a bit of an anomaly in Raymond. The town is a fisher/oyster town with a bit of logging, so to find a quaint coffee shop featuring local crafts is very refreshing. As our their lavender drinks - try the hibiscus iced tea with lavender on a hot day or the Raymond Fog (London Fog swapping lavender for vanilla) on a cold Raymond day. Sandwiches are also great! I recommend the chicken salad, it's a deviled chicken salad and worth the upcharge for the local sourdough bread. read more

I spent $85 here on food on a first time visit. I asked about nuts before ordering all the items and was told there were no nuts. I had had a very strong allergic reaction to the avocado toast. I came in and asked if the toast had nuts and the woman who at the counter said well no I don't think so and we can't guarantee anything. I proceeded to let her know I was having an allergic reaction and asked if they had any milk available. It was a strange exchange to me, she and another gentleman not really responding to me having an active allergic reaction having a slow dialogue, figuring out what charge me while I'm having an allergic reaction and trying to charge me four dollars for the glass of milk. A disappointing service indeed. The place has so much charm appeal coming up to it and I really wish I had a different experience. read more

Wonderful place to be. The cafe is right next to a carriage museum, and that's fun. But that's just the start. Inside the shop there's a Volkswagen beetle, and the customer service is delightful! I would recommend ordering the hibiscus iced tea with lavender, it tastes super good! read more
