However, when I finally got to go to one of them, I was rather disappointed. Don't go excepting anything but extremely basic Country, I'm too much of a music nerd to find much special in what's played there. If you come here with expectations on food high they will be reached, just don't come expecting unique music experiences.

Unfortunately, our visit just did not land. The bartender appeared to be doing double duty as server, and I understand what that can do to a shift. I spent about ten years working tables and other service jobs, so I have a lot of sympathy for being overworked. Still, the service felt more than rushed. It felt brusque enough that we did not feel especially welcome. The food was passable. Nothing terrible, but nothing that made us want to come back. The local beer was also a surprise, since it did not taste especially fresh. Maybe this was an off night. I hope so. There is clearly a good idea here, but our experience was a bit of a disappointment.

Apparently this location has been a restaurant spot for eons. Service is stellar. Friendly, knowledgable, and competent. Had corned beef, a very different presentation than ones I have experienced. Huge slabs of meat and potatoes, with english muffin. It was delish. Husband had ham 'n cheese omelette. I almost fainted as he ALWAYS orders biscuits and gravy. Both breakfasts were great. The crust really stood out: perfectly balanced, not too greasy, with just the right texture that made every bite super satisfying. The ice cubes they use are made of coffee instead of water. The consistency was perfect, not too watery like most other blended drinks I've gotten from other places. The staff is very cute and friendly as well. There are several coffee stands in this town and I've been to all of them. GO HERE! This was the first time I've been to this one and I was not disappointed. I'll be getting my coffee from Timber Grounds every time I'm in town visiting my mom.
