We've purchased a beef quarter (see Wagner's Review) and the meat is just fantastic, though availability can be spotty for prime cuts in the "store". All of their seasonal produce that I've purchased (corn, onions, garlic, peaches, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes) have all been delicious. They aren't always the most organized on meat and the prices are a little higher on everything but you're actually getting local farm produce. (I've noticed a lot of places supplement with commercial foods for convenience and that seems duplicitous when they don't identify which is which!) Everything from here has been good, zero disappointment's.

We just had to spend a little extra time picking which actually made it a little bit more fun. Wagons are available to pull your buckets so you and the kids don't have to carry them. The signage for the types of blueberries and blackberries and raspberries are adequate. This was my first time going there and we were able to find parking fairly easy because we arrive shortly after they opened. I can see how parking will be a little more difficult during the busy times. Bathrooms are on site that they are a little bit primitive. If you don't want to pick your own fruits, their store has some already picked for you but at a greater cost than if you picked them yourself plus other local produce and grocery items.

I only took a star away for the lack of cleaning of the tables by the snack around. I saw workers picking up trash off the ground but the tables needed some love. I was able to grab some amethyst basil, which is a beautiful shade of darkish black, purple. They also had a vast number of lettuces to choose from to grow a healthy salad in your garden. All of Jones' items seem to be reasonably priced, given the quality of their plants and what you would pay at some other big-name stores like Home Depot or Loews. I couldn't stop myself from picking up little pots of garden staples but eventually told myself enough for now. Whether you're a newbie to gardening or an avid gardener, I think Jones Family Farms is a great spot to gather your planting necessities.
