I'm just ready for our Publix across the street to open back up from renovation. Aldi wasn't much cheaper as far as grocery prices are concerned but the experience sure was. Paying for a grocery cart, bagging your own groceries, bringing your own bag, waiting in line forever because they have one rude cashier that doesn't speak or smile. Cashier dropped and cracked my produce from their cheap produce bag and didn't even apologize. This store made me appreciate Publix so much more! The prices here weren't even cheaper considering Publix BOGO and online coupons. I did get more chicken tenderloin for my dogs than at Walmart-Mart but that's about it. read more

I went here looking for one thing specifically. Wine!! I received a tip from someone who actually lives in Peachtree Corners that Aldi has a nice wine selection. I was in this area so as soon as I saw that Aldi sign it popped in my head. Aldi is not really present on the south side too much. The store had a really new vibe. It also had a darker color scheme or is it just modern. Anyway I was on a mission. I remembered I needed a quarter for the buggy. I grabbed a buggy then proceeded to go up and down aisles I'm search of wine. What did I find? Zilch!!!? I finally asked a store associate nowhere was the wine located and she advised they were not licensed to sell at that location. Bummed I left the store. I didn't need to shop for items I didn't need however I will probably go back one if these days. read more

Aldi is wonderful for my family & I. It has foods we really like at very good prices. BRING YOUR OWN BAGS OR BOXES! If you want to use a shopping cart, you'll need a quarter! I always keep quarters in my car. They have a good produce section, much more reasonably priced than a Publix! Sometimes, i want a few lemons, & in the Publix area, & when I see the price I have to pick myself up off the floor! For the best selection at Aldi in produce, go earlier in the day if you can. They don't carry a lot of big name brands on processed foods. They have their own Aldi brand, which is completely fine! Such as, wheat thin crackers, cereal, soups, you won't find Nabisco or Progresso Soup, the Aldi brand is a completely fine alternative. I don't eat much meat, so my knowledge on that is very limited. Just being honest. They have great prices on meat, fresh & frozen. Here's one of my favorite things! Aldi Take & Bake bread. I love it! You bake it at home for 10 minutes & it takes like the bread my Grandma used to make! Usually, it's French loaves. Cost is $2.99 a loaf last time I bought some. Who likes ice cream? I do! Aldi's PREMIUM ice cream is fantastic & much less expensive than a lot of other brands. Note that Aldi has Aldi Ice Cream, and Aldi Premium Ice cream, so when shopping, notice that there are two types. There are usually only two or three flavors, but you'll get over that! The "middle isle" IS the middle isle literally & it's always a surprise. The middle isle usually doesn't have food items, but household helpers or toys, or a tool or small appliance here & there. The items are usually seasonal. It's like a bargain hunt. You never know what you're going to find. It's fun! If you haven't been here before, give this store a try. What have you got to lose? I think you'll be surprised by their great prices, & these days that's extremely important! Don't forget a quarter, as a refundable deposit for your shopping cart, & bags. My last review was in 2012. It's been 9 years. It's time for an update. They finally seem to accept credit cards. Welcome to the 2020, Aldi. Also, they sell alcohol now. They have a decent selection of wines and beers. They have some cheap wines. I haven't tasted them yet. But I'm sure they're fine. Thanks to Covid, I used curbside pickup often. This is the best thing ever. You pay about $1.99-$3.99 more to be lazy. I'm lazy, and I'll gladly pay that. You can do it via Instacart. Sure Publix and other places have it also. It's a nice convenience if you're lazy like me. Speaking of prices, Aldi is a budget grocery store. Even if I pay $5 more to do shopping with Instacart, it's still much cheaper than doing it yourself at Publix. Sure, other grocery stores have a ton more choices. And there are certain items Aldi doesn't carry, like parsley and other herbs. But they do carry enough to get your staples. Even though their prices are low, their quality is still good. It's not some bottom of the barrel stuff. They sell decent quality items for low prices. They save money by not having as much people, having a smaller space, and carrying limited number of items. They also charge for bags, you rent shopping carts for $0.25, and other small inconveniences. Those cut-backs help pass the savings to the consumer. If you don't mind all the little idiosyncrasies for a cheaper grocery bill, this is a great place for the frugal shopper. read more

I am a fan of Aldi. What I don't like about this location is that it looks dirty and dingy. What I don't like about Aldi in general is that they don't accept credit cards. Here is what I do like: The low prices. I don't mind the quarter for a cart because I get the quarter back when I return the cart. I also don't mind bagging my own groceries. This is why the prices remain low. If I had my choice of Aldi locations, I prefer the one in Hiram. It's cleaner. read more

To the African American cashier with flamin hot Cheetos red weave at register 2 on 10/13/21 at 12:00pm: I felt very disrespected when after I paid for my items you not only began scanning the next customers' items without giving me my receipt but then when I pointed this out, went, "There it is. I go to this aldis pretty often, but Sunday July 30 was a mess. The one line open was extremely long. The cashier at the register buzzed for help but nobody came in time. When help came he was bossing this guy around. The helper was asking what register to go to and the guy on the register was so disrespectful to him in front of all of the customers. It was pretty embarrassing. I walked to the bathroom and when I came out I saw the guy that was being disrespected tell the another worker who'd just walked in something like, 'your boy was trying to disrespect me in front of these people, you'd better get him before I kick his a$$.' They won't take orders for their energy shots and I usually buy most that they have. I finally some after traveling to several Aldo's... manager said I can't buy all of them I had to leave some. Oh well. Wish they would take my order then and just have a few cases ready for me. Cashier said another location used to do that, but I did correct her I'm what I've been told by two different stores on that they don't take orders. You may save a couple dollars on inferior food, but its only because they have like one person working the entire store at all times :-0 Dont expect any type of customer service at all. Not even a hello nor goodbye when your checking out. Bag your own groceries, pay for your own cart, dont have any questions. It's a completely self serve operation which I personally don't appreciate...I prefer more of a Publix experience (a smile at the very least). And the produce doesnt last more than a day. I need a little more experience with Aldi, I admit it. I've shopped here not even a handful of times. Each time, the store was very clean with happy-go-lucky employees. I would look over the selection of produce, meat, freezer goods, etc. and not be very impressed. The meat, specifically ground beef, would have a grayish tint to it. Blech. The prices on boxed/dry food, I noticed, are lower than your average grocery store, depending on the brand you buy. Obviously, the Aldi brands are cheapest. I wasn't crazy about the groceries but I did like the large boxes of merchandise up front, that held items such as body pillows, sheet sets, and other home goods. I may come back, but I'm quicker to head to Kroger just because I'm more comfortable with their products. read more

For years I wondered what this store was all about. I was told that you need a quarter to get a shopping cart and like the old Cub Food stores here in Atlanta when I was a child. you need to bring your own bags or box or spend about 10 cents for a bag. Well gas prices started cutting into my grocery money so one day I decided to give this store a try. They have a fresh produce guarantee were you are allowed to bring your produce back if it is not fresh, so I figured what the heck! I was amazed at the savings at Aldi. Y'all know I love me some Publix and Whole Foods. Love! Love! Love! But there was such a huge difference over the high priced supermarkets and Aldi that I could no longer justify spending twice as much on produce. Now I still say that you can get really good prices from the State Farmers Market that mimic the prices at Aldi. Just take your old Kroger or Publix shopping bags with you. I invested a whole dollar for a RECYCLED bag and I take that with me when I go. But you still need that quarter for the cart. read more

Please don't let my stars scare you because I am definitely a HUGE fan of Aldi. Its 9 am and I'm literally on my way there now to get some cast iron and a few other items that go on sale today. (Please don't tell my husband) I have their appliances, pots, housewares, I love their food and there are some things I will only buy from Aldi such as wine, almond milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, apples, oranges, grapes, chicken broth, canned wild salmon, frozen veggies,shrimp, etc. The selection of wines at Aldi is amazing and affordable. I give THIS location fewer stars because they do not carry wine at this location. That is a HUGE inconvenience. Every other Aldi I have ever visited has alcohol. other than that its fine. I love the way they make organic and healthy options affordable and the Dog food pure being is some of the best available. I used to by my dog food at trader joes but I now buy Aldi and the price is great for such quality. (My dog eats that not me just in case you were confused or concerned lol) read more

I went into the store to get something on the fly. I have been an advocate for Aldi's for years. I have been in many of their stores all over Georgia and Florida. After riding with my group of bicyclists for many miles I needed to just grab some items real quick and get out. I was accosted by an employee right at the door. It was 7:30 at night and I had taken off my bicycle cleats shoes because they are dangerous on hard floors. She flipped out on me about not wearing shoes. Very embarrassing. Won't be back. Grew up in Europe. Shopped Aldi's all the time because of quality and price. I am therefore more than qualified to nominate the Aldi on Floyd rd, Mableton Ga 30126 the worst in the world. The store just had a grand reopening a few weeks ago and you guessed it, it was all hands on deck, all checkouts manned and a bunch of corporate types standing around and looking smug with themselves. Three weeks later ( Sat' 14'th ) no checkout manned for five minutes and some of their produce was rotten or spotted. They did not have the rack of lamb meat special as advertised for the 4th of July. Meat came in the following day and the young female manager called me to inform me it had arrived. (excellent customer service on her part!). Lamb said eat or freeze by july 25'th wrapped in vacume sealed package so I decided to cook it tonight July 14'th. Opened package and it smelled more pungent than usual for lamb. It wasn't until we cut into it after cooking that we realized how RANCID AND OFF the meat was. Dinner tonight was green beans and garlic mashed potato due to lack of meat that is fit for human consumption. Thanks to the worlds crappiest Aldi ever! . read more

I visit Aldi about once a week to get a few basic items. I have been a fan since I first visited one of these in Ohio. At the time ATL didn't have any locations so when I heard they were coming I was happy. Everything in the store is priced pretty good and gets me through the week. Now if you want to talk about efficiency this place does it right! You pay your quarter for the shopping cart and when you return it then you get your quarter back. If you don't feel like returning then leave it and the next customer will surely grab it! So no need for anybody to roam the lot gathering up carts. Inside they basically pull boxes off the truck, cut them open, and wheel them to the aisles. No stock people needed. Customers will need to bring your own bag if you want bagged. They put it right back in your cart for you to wheel to your car. Really 3 or 4 people can keep this store operating a day. Some don't like it but I think its a smart move! Im a fan. read more
