I love the look of the new makeover! The store has a much bigger produce and refrigerated section with additional ready-to-eat foods.

They have an…read moreincredible selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables you probably won't find at a typical grocery store. Everything I've bought has been fresh, and the prices are honestly some of the best I've seen in a long time. Some of the deals I found were amazing: strawberries for just $0.98 a pack, a large pack of raspberries for $3.98, chicken breasts for $1.98 per pound, and ribeye steaks for $9.99 per pound. With grocery prices being so high these days, stores like this are such a huge help. The only downside is that weekends are extremely busy, so I'd recommend going first thing in the morning if you can. Even with the crowds, it's absolutely worth the trip. Great quality, unbeatable prices, and a fantastic place to stretch your grocery budget!

The wife says we came here once before many years ago but I don't remember it.  They've been at it here for 53 years since 1972. Normally, we avoid it due to the madhouse scene that is usually here (like when traffic can't even enter the parking lot from busy Milwaukee Ave because the parking lot is overflowing lol).  Well, it was -3F on a frigid Friday night and we were across Milwaukee Ave at the Jewel, and it was eerily quiet in Jewel, and we thought it was as good a time as any to also visit Jerry's lol. Well, it was relatively calm, and we found a close by parking spot, but there were still plenty of shoppers in Jerry's.  Their inventory is huge and truly impressive as are their prices.  No wonder this place is so super popular.  We picked up some cherries for $2.49 per lb and strawberries at a promo price of $0.79 per 1 lb container.  I would say 4.5 stars for our visit tonight, but really on their normal super-crowded shopping basis, I would still say 3 stars overall.  I don't personally think the hassle factor of shopping here for fruits and vegetables is worth it for the savings and the variety of offerings, thus the 2 star deduct.  But you have to decide for yourself, and apparently for many others, Jerry's is well worth the trip, and kudos to Jerry's for that and continued good luck and success to them.

I want to give a shout out to Andrea and Chris (I wish I had last names!)…read more You know what it's like when life gets so stressful that you are struggling to find a reason to make it through the day, and then you discover a sweet treat in the international candy aisle of your local Tony's that is like nothing else you've ever eaten, and it becomes your nightly reward for making it through another day? No? Just me? Well, then humor me. I found that treat (and I'm not identifying it because I don't want my store to run out!!) and I stopped in my Tony's Monday morning to get my week's worth, and despite the fact that I hadn't seen the supply dwindle at all in the months I've been eating these treats (so I just assumed I was the only one who bought them,) AND they had literally boxes full of product every time I came to Tony's, my heart SUNK when I saw the empty shelf. Sometimes when life rains, it pours, and life has been pouring on me, and seeing that one of the few things I had to look forward to was gone, broke the camel's back. I headed toward customer service, and saw a woman standing in front of customer service (she may have been supervising the self checkout) and I approached her on the verge of tears and explained that they were out of the only thing that brought me joy, and she said "well then, we will find it." That was Angela. Thank you, Angela!!! Truly, an angel! I was expecting judgment, not kindness. I was hoping they had just moved the candy to a different display or something but Angela looked into it and they were completely out (and when I'd been in less than a week earlier, there was still a LOT of product that was about a year away from expiration, so I guess I'm NOT the only one who finds this item irresistible!) So Angela recruited a very kind gentleman named Chris who got my information, placed an order with the vendor, and barely 24 hours later I got a text from Chris that the product was at the store waiting for me. My experience with "customer service" on a whole lately has been that no one seems to care anymore. Or that people do the absolute minimum that they can get away with. I cannot remember the last time I had a company truly care if I was happy with my shopping experience. Angela could have just told me to "go look for the product at other Tony's stores" or online ... but instead she made sure the item would be available at my preferred store. Chris could have just told me "they'll be in some time next week, come in and look" .... but instead, he texted me to let me know when they arrived, and because I couldn't make it into the store that day, he made sure to set side the quantity I need. Again, these are all such small things in the grand scheme of life, but Joy and kindness are so important and so hard to come by these days. Because of the kindness of Andrea and Chris, I'm able to find little bits of joy at the end of the day, as I work my way through this difficult chapter in my life.

They were able to create them. I would never usually ask for special treatment or a short order, and when I did, they delivered. I cannot thank them enough for easing the burden on such a hard weekend. I have shopped there since the Prospect Heights store opened. I love the selection, the workers, and the deals. A good store run by good people.

There's several kiosks in the food court, but we usually go to the main one. Wait in line, tell them your order, pay, and they hand you a beeper/pager to tell you when the food is ready. By the end of your dining experience, the beeping noise will be engrained in your head, since you will hear the beep-beep-beep, beep-beep-beep from everyone else's pager. The main kiosk we go to, have over 30 items on their menu, but we gravitate usually to the same items, as they are consistently good. We get the ox-knee soup, soft tofu soup, and stir-fry squid. I do like the grocery store but that's about all this place is useful for. Skip the food court everyone raves about. It's not that great. It's just an average chain restaurant quality product. You can get better at a real restaurant for the same prices without the horrid racket of the grocery store. This place is legit louder than being in an Equinix server cage room!!! (See prior review for grocery store. Grocery here is 10/10. This review covers only the so called dining court. Two restaurants owned by the same people does not make a dining court. It's a monopoly in the dining court!)
