This farm has a decent sized parking area and allows you to pick some of your own produce (when in…read moreseason) or purchase pre-picked produce in their shop. They have strawberries, red raspberries, asparagus, pumpkins, grapes and sunflowers, depending on the time of the year. They are very active on social media, so they keep followers up-to-date on the status of their crops and seasons. They have a shop where you will find pre-picked crops, fudge, ice cream, pies, muffin and bread mixes, peanut butters, snack mix, jams/preserves, popcorn, aprons and sauces. In addition to the crop that you could also pick your self, they have seasonal items that they bring in that include tomatoes, black raspberries, and peaches. It is a neat little shop and the staff is very friendly. You will find rockers and a table and chairs in the front of the shop and some tables and chairs on the side, where you can sit and eat. There is a winery in the front of the farm's grounds, but I did not check it out. I was on a mission to get some black raspberries. I also ended of getting a slice of the berry pie, which was delicious. I highly recommend getting some of their pies. You will not regret it. The black raspberries were ok. They were a little bitter than what I was expecting and as compared to the red variety. Now if you are expecting super low prices because you are buying direct, I found that shopping here was not the case. You are getting freshness though and if you do pick your own, that is a cool experience as well. This is a neat little farm located near Westfield, about 35 minutes outside of the city.

First, I spotted the poppy hot dog rolls. Then the bright green relish. Wow, guess what I'm fixing for dinner? I took my merchandise up to the register and the clerk (who was super friendly) said "I am just unpacking the hot peppers. Would you like a jar?" YESSSS. And then I asked about the dogs and, sure enough, she had the Viennas. This place is incredible. They carry local and regional items. They have some fresh produce (I picked up fresh corn and local strawberries). They carry assorted local jellies, pickled items, pastries and noodles. A local Amish bakery provides breads and pastries. I also grabbed a fresh apple cider slushy (for only $1.49). They also carry some local meats (frozen). In an adjacent building, there is a beautiful collection of annuals and vegetable plants. The plants looked healthy, but I did not pick up any today. There was patio furniture and colorful garden decor also. The people are just down-to-earth friendly. The clerk even gave my dog a treat. This will be a regular stop on my Noblesville circuit.

The Greek salad was a meal in itself! Soooo good! The salad had paper thin noodles in a vinegar seasoning that was tangy and delicious. My husband had the roast beef sandwich, which was packed with meat and cheese. He loved it. A staff member checked on us to see if we needed anything while we were eating. There is plenty of seating and patio seating as well. The space is shared with Slapfish. I think parking can get tight during peak hours, but there were not many people during Saturday lunchtime. At the front of the store, when you enter by the produce, there are always fresh items on sale. If you sign up in their app for your phone, you can clip coupons and get even better deals. Many times the produce at the front of the store is cheaper than you can find at Meijer or Kroger. Right now, they have Florida strawberries for $1.50 with a clipped coupon, asparagus for $2.50 a pound, and cherry tomatoes for $1.50 a container. All of these prices beat Meijer.... I know, because I was just there! What I also like about Harvest Market is there are plenty of employees walking around the store and restocking items. It is always very easy to find someone to answer a question. This is unlike some grocery stores where you have to go to Customer Service to get any help and then wait in a line to reach the counter. Don't forget Harvest Market for your grocery needs!

I visited every booth and even got a free pair of swim goggles, a pencil sharpener in the shape of a fire extinguisher, and other great stuff. I recorded their rescue demo from a multi-story building. The firefighter landed with the rescued man through a window onto an air mattress. I went to a trailer to learn about prevention of home fires and how to signal for help from an upper floor. I have a video of me breaking a board with the foot! Moreover, an organization was offering free hot pancakes with 2% real maple syrup, butter, and mini bottled water. What a tasty treat as I have not had pancakes in a long time! This trip at the market and after learning about their process, I bought a $2 yellow squash from a vendor who uses essential oils to distract inserts/bugs and their own animals' waste as fertilizer. I will taste to determine if similar to other growers. Also, I bought again the $14 (6) frozen chicken eggrolls. I air fried one upon arriving at home. Yummy! Another new and happening morning! Very educational.

Even the driest of the wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon, is very sweet. So, if you love sweet wines, this place is for you! Right now, they are only pouring a Cabernet, a red blend, a Riesling and a sweet Rose. The grapes are imported, but Woolley Yak has their own vineyard, and the intention is that they will soon start producing wine from their own grapes. You can get a flight of wine, or a glass of wine, or a mimosa, and then you can take your wine outside with you as you explore the grounds. There are picnic benches here and there. There's also a food truck that sells four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches and handheld charcuterie cups. I think food is only available Friday through Sunday, though. I visited with children (well, a teen and an almost tween), but they are a good hang and will play on a playground with the best of them, so we headed straight for the nature play space. The playground was designed to encourage kids to engage in unstructured play, so it has a lot of natural elements all around, like tree stumps, hay bales and logs. My kids are "co-op kids" for life (their early years were spent at a nature-based cooperative preschool), so they thrive with this type of playground. There's also a tire mound to climb, a balance beam to balance on, and a basketball shooting station made from a grain wagon. There's lots of space to run around, and a few trees to climb, too. The big draw of Woolly Yak is the yaks! There are also Babydoll Southdown sheep, Kunekune pigs and chickens that live on the ranch. You can just sit on a bench and watch these animals do their things in their living spaces. Or, if you want a more up-close experience, you can purchase a ticket to one of the animal experiences, like storytime with sheep or tea with lambs. You can also experience brushing the yaks and giving them treats. If you didn't want to do any of those experiences, though, you could just visit the ranch to see the animals for free! There is no admission to enter the ranch or to park. It's a nice place to visit to stroll around and see what you can see.

The website mentioned sheep, chickens, and pigs, (as well as Yaks) I only saw the pigs and Yaks while I was there however I did not inquire about the other animals, So if you're going for the animals you may want to call as I'm not sure if the other animals are only out certain times.

The cheese aisle always grabs me with the great selection of Amish cheese. I picked up some baby Swiss. This Amish market carries locally made pickled and preserved goods. There is a complete aisle of pickled eggs, beets, asparagus and too much to name. I love coming here! The bakery is awesome with fresh fry cakes and donuts. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. I left a happy camper with my fried chicken and car full of mums. What excuse can I come up with tomorrow for more fried chicken?
