I've been a customer of Aldo for years now because he consistently delivers top-notch service. The latest example was a pair of my husband's leather moccasin-style shoes, both of which had broken laces. Aldo managed my expectations by explaining that it would be difficult -- perhaps impossible -- to thread new laces through the backs of the shoes given their design. So I was thrilled when he called the very next day (!) to let me know he'd finished the job and the shoes were ready to pick up. I had been prepared for the news that they weren't salvagable, but instead found that Aldo's skilled handiwork had fully restored them. He even managed to remove an oil stain from one shoe -- no easy feat when working with leather. Very very happy with my zipper head repair. I bought this vintage LV that is in bad shape and one of the first thing we need to get done is get the zipper head repaired. Went to this business to have a pair of shoes fixed for a wedding and the owner was not helpful nor willing to try to give solutions to come up with any ideas to tighten the strap on shoes. I am wearing the shoes one time and told him repeatedly that I didn't care what the strap Looked like and that I understood that the look of shoe would be different. First, let me start by saying this place is wonderful! So I looked up reviews on here and liked what I saw so I dropped by after work on Tuesday to inquire about my shoes. The heels of my boots had gotten really worn down over the 3 years I've had them and one had a hole that was big enough to allow pebbles into my shoes. So I asked how much it would cost and for both boot heals it was only $35! I also bought some new sole inserts because the fabric in my shoes was completely ripping out and those were only $15, so all together it only cost about $50 which is much less expensive than the new boots I had been looking at before, and I get to keep my favorite and most comfortable pair of shoes! Aldo was super friendly and said my boots should be ready that Friday and my parents went to pick them up for me today since I was at work all day. Needless to say, my boots look brand new and I really couldn't be happier about it! He even cleaned the sand off them from when I went to the beach a while back! I have a pair of 5.11 boots that had seen better days. After a few particularly rough days outside in the mud and gravel, I thought it was time to let them go. I decided to try and get them professionally cleaned, and gave Aldo a try. I've been going back regularly ever since to get them touched up. CASH ONLY business! First time for me having shoes repaired. I would totally recommend Aldo's! He's professional and polite. I brought in my Teva's (all terrain sandals) which are like 12 years old. Although they are in great shape, the stitching on velcro is coming up on one of the straps. The stitching is finally showing its wear and tear. After many years of camping, hiking, rafting, jet skiing and daily use, these guys needed some TLC. Aldo himself quoted me $10 bucks to fix the velcro. Had it been something I could have done, I would have. The stitching turned out great, as simple as it was. He said he checked all the other velcro and stitching as well. I also brought in my Skechers Jammers. They too are an older pair of shoes in great shape. The leather is worn/scuffed a bit from pants rubbing, but, hey their shoes! I needed new shoe laces for them and just brought them in with me. Aldo said leave them with me and I'll take care of them! Woo Hoo OK!! He put on new laces and totally shinned them up, the leather looks like new!! I was excited about that as I wear them mostly when I ride with the hubby on the motorcycle. So for another $10 bucks he charged me for the laces and the leather shine and water repellent stuff. I don't think thats a bad deal at all! $20 bucks out the door! Pay half of order when you drop off the items then the other half when they're ready. Or at least thats the way it was with my situation. I want to mention that my hubby has brought in 2 different pairs steel toe work boots. Those boots needed new soles, rubber and some stitching replaced. Both pairs of boots cost well over $175 and to pay $45 bucks for new soles, rubber and shine up and new stitching in areas is worth visiting Aldo's every so often! Neither of our visits have been in a rush situation. So I can't comment on a time constraint. #21 read more

This place is a joke! You walk in and there are purses on the wall. It looks nothing like a shoe repair shop full of shoes, products, tools and the smell of lingering polish. The prices are high and the job is mediocre. I brought a brand new pair of boots in because I pulled off the zipper pull. He wanted a deposit, 35.00 and a week to fix it. I paid and left. I didn't know that there was another shoe repair in the area. I discovered Maselli's Brothers on Brentwood Blvd and the chg was 10-20.00 while I waited. Needless to say I got my $$ back and took my biz down the street. See Maselli Brothers for that review. I gave 3 stars because I can't really rate them on just this one visit. I asked for my shoe straps to be re-sewn and it cost me $15. The job was done quickly. So I give them an "A-OK." I'm really writing this review because I don't live in the area, and IT TOOK ME 15 MINUTES TO FIND THE PLACE! Saying its next to Trader Joes isn't true. Thank you Aldo! I wanted to get my dad's Navy issued leather flight jacket repaired for Father's Day. I tried a few different places but nobody could do it. I walked in not feeling very optimistic but after looking at it Aldo said he could do it! He sewed the replacement arm cuffs and waistband back on and it looks original! I took my husbands Harley boots to have a new sole put on..non slip. We had gotten his other boots done in Livermore and they were 60.00 and that was 10 years ago so I figured to save me a trip and it couldnt be much more I would go local. This is the first, worst, and my last time visiting this stores Brung my boots in a week ago to get stretched. Guy at the counter said 4 days I go back in 6 days, only to find out my boots fit the same as I came in. Walked into the store he was getting yelled at by another customer because he couldn't find over $300 worth of shoes. My mom's flight was leaving on a Tuesday for a wedding & she had asked me to have the bottoms of her heels replaced on the day before her trip. I called Aldo's & there was no answer. I called back to leave a message, then Aldo called me back within minutes to tell me that his repair shop is closed on Mondays but he was there doing some paperwork. I told him our situation & he said he would do it if I could come in within the next half hour. I did, & he finished my mom's heels within 10 minutes. I thought I would give Aldo's shoe repair (on LoneTree Way) a try- it's close to my office. I dropped off two pairs of shoes,- one pair of boots, one pair of sofft clogs, to have the heels re-capped. When I picked them up they looked great.. I neglected to try either pair on- I was in a hurry. When I finally tried the clogs on a week later, the right shoe felt wobbly and streched out. After close examination by my husband and myself, we found that the arch or tree of the clog, had been busted in half, back by the heal that had been repaired. The shoe is now trashed. I was very upset and called Aldo the owner, and he insisted he did not break the shoe and was not willing to fix it for free or return my $15.00(per pair) for the re-capping of the heals.My shoes were in perfect shape when I dropped them off,( except for the caps on the heals). I will not ever use Aldo's shoe repair again. BAD BUSINESS! read more

The store is hidden away near Trader Joe's but sort of around the corner from it. I only knew of it because I got curious about what might be there. Anyway, my footwear is confined to sneakers except for a very occasional night out and I will probably never again in my life take shoes to a cobbler. I did however get a rip in my best leather jacket and thought well leather is leather and maybe he could fix it for me. No problem at all. Aldo's shoe made quality repairs to our shoes quickly, inexpensively. He's local, so we gave him a try. The first set of shoes I didn't think he could fix. We had nothing to lose, but the repair worked well. So then brought in 10 pair of high heels for fixing and a men's shoe for stitching. Had them back in about a three days at a good price. read more
