I have to give a huge shout out to our local shoe repair shop! I had the worst experience with my beloved Valentino sandals. One of the signature studs fell off and unfortunately, I didn't have the backing piece. I called Valentino, and they told me that without that missing piece, the sandal couldn't be repaired. I was honestly so disappointed! These sandals are a luxury purchase, and the thought of having to buy another pair over one missing stud just didn't sit right with me. When I got back home, I decided to give Brentwood's best known shoe repair shop a try MaselliBros. I explained what had happened, and without hesitation he smiled and said, "Let me see what I can do." A few minutes later, he walked out from the back with my sandal completely repaired! Felix is incredibly friendly, super knowledgeable, and has a lot of professional experience working with luxury brands. This has become my go-to place for all my luxury shoe and bag repairs. I've gone 3 separate times now for 2 pairs of LV sandals, an LV purse, and a Gucci backpack, and every repair came back looking great and honestly sturdier than when I originally bought them. For instance, I absolutely destroyed the finish and the straps of my Louis Vuitton sandals while walking in the rain on vacation. The finish leaked all over my feet and the leather/canvas. Felix not only cleaned off the dye and repaired the damage, but he resealed the sandals to where it's now waterproof. Their prices are also really reasonable and an insanely small fraction of what it would've cost to send the items back to LV or Gucci for repair. I wouldn't trust my designer items with anyone else. read more

My husband had an old Duck Strap, that he was given by his dad when he was 12. It's over 60 years old .Through the years it started to deteriorate and fall apart. He thought maybe a shoe repair could fix it or maybe make a new one. He found Maselli Bros in Brentwood Ca. in the phone book. He took it to them and met Ron. Ron did not know what it was, so my husband told him and asked if it could be repaired or better to make a new one. Ron said it was too old to repair but he could make him a new one, even though he never made one before. It took Ron over 3 weeks and several pieces of leather, but he did it. The BEST money I've spent in a long time. Ron helped me out today big time - I got to design my own belt. I walked in there to get a hole put into an old belt and he mentioned that he could make me a new one if I wanted. So I got to pick my belt color - either dyed or stained natural leather. I went with natural leather and he let me pick a stain bc I wanted a little character. He even had buckles!! So I picked this beautiful buckle. I got lucky it was slow, because he had it ready THE SAME DAY. I was like a kid in a candy store today. I had a blast building my own belt with you Ron!! Since this is one of a few shoe shops, i had no other recourse to go here to have a purse cleaned. Additionally, I used a dry cleaner service (previously used this company) & they gave me their name. Just purchased it, loaned it out, & it came back with ink pen drip plus other stains inside. Charged $60 WITHOUT even looking at the stains AND wanted the money up-front AGAIN, without looking at the stains!!! Very condensing person at the front counter. Picked my purse up & some of the stains were still there - NO guarantee they said - but no return on my money either! My purses will be near ruined, before I take any back to this shop. read more

I had a Louis Vuitton clutch that I wanted to add a strap to. I was scared to do this because I knew the value of alternating a Louis is not good. I also had the clasp changed to a magnetic clasp. Yes this was taking a risk. They did an amazing job and the purse looks great. They had to open up all the seams and stitch back together. This probably was not an easy task for the experienced leather crafter to make sure the stitches were put back in the same stitch placement, but he did a great job. I highly recommend this shop for all of your shoe and leather goods. I have a vintage Fendi purse that has cracked from drying out. I may take it in to have him replace the trim. Great customer service and delivered my expectations on the bag and shoe repair services I requested.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service you will get at Maselli Bros, whether it's general shoe repair or more specialized repair of damage to purses, bags, luggage etc. I have usually met with Ron or Marlene and both are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. I have a very nice yellow Michael Kors handbag which had some damage to the straps by the metal buckles, and was totally unusable. After contacting Michael Kors I was referred to their repair shop who charged $90 to replace the 2 straps. They did make two new straps but they were a totally different shade to the bag and each strap was 5 inches shorter than the original ones, so still totally unusable. I decided to see if Maselli Brothers had any suggestion, and Ron looked at the bag and said he could repair it for $60 which I gladly paid. On picking up the bag today I was very happy and surprised that Ron had made 2 new straps (the correct length) and had matched them to the exact shade of the bag. Ron did say it wasn't as difficult as he expected and even refunded me $20! Ron is obviously a craftsman, so I have no hesitation in recommending him and his shop, whether it's for simple shoe repairs or a special item that you would like repaired by someone who knows what they are doing. read more

Brought my large duffle bag here for a zipper repair. The gentleman said he may be able to fix it, or would replace the entire zipper. He wound up replacing the whole zipper, and it works great. Ron is beyond incredible with his level of understanding of physiology and his ability to alter a shoe to get rid of the pain. I am an orthopedic challenge and he spent 45 minutes with me today problem solving an issue. The pain is significantly reduced and sometimes nonexistent. I am sure it will continue to lessen. I live in stockton and didn't trust anyone in town to repair my vintage Gucci purse and a pair of coach rain boots so I searched online to find a business with a good reputation. My husband works around the Bay Area so I asked him to stop by their shop and see what they can do. I expected good quality work but didn't expect it to be the best considering my purse was pretty old. But WOW these guys definitely exceeding my expectations! Since my purse is vintage, a leather piece that held the strap of my purse ripped off :(. My husband was told that they'll try their best to try and match the replacement leather as the best they could but the colors may a little off and honestly... I expected that. But the leather replacement matched perfectly! One of the guys told my husband that he searched everywhere to find something suitable for my purse and they were on point! I'd been going to 2 other cobblers for years and was never happy. They did terrible work and I was reading the yelp reviews and one of their unhappy customers recommended this place so I tried but started off with some small things. Then I moved on to a very old Louis Vuitton backpack and it was repaired beautifully so I brought in some really thrashed vintage cowboy boots. I never expected them to ever look this good. I literally cried when I saw them. It takes a lot to impress me and to make me happy. I'm more than satisfied with their work. I'm bringing in everything I've been saving.
