The meatballs were golf-ball sized and served in a small skillet of marinara with two slices of bread. No complaints on taste or quality. The sandwich was also solid and about what I expected from the menu. That said, the pricing felt a little high for what we got. The sandwich was $14 and did not include a side, and the four-meatball appetizer was also $14. Again, the food was good, but it was definitely on the pricier side. I also had the cream ale and the blonde ale. I don't remember the exact prices, but they seemed in line with the styles and I enjoyed both. My biggest complaint was the 3.99% credit card surcharge. That seems steep, especially at a restaurant where lunch can already add up quickly and most people probably aren't carrying enough cash to cover a full meal. To their credit, there was ample signage about the surcharge, so it was not a surprise at checkout. Still, at this price point, adding nearly 4% for using a card left a bad impression. Without the surcharge, this probably would have been a 4-star experience for me. The food and beer were good, and I did not have any real complaint about the quality. But the surcharge, combined with the slightly odd seating experience and higher prices, brings the overall visit down to 3 stars. Overall, I'd consider going back, but the seating experience and credit card surcharge would make me think twice.

The fish was bland and needed seasoning or at least salt and pepper, which I asked for. I did like the batter which was crispy. I am not sure why other reviewers raved about the fish. Could it be a new cook? The rosemary parmesan fries had good flavor, but were too soggy. If they were cooked longer and came out crispy, they would have had potential. This was our final stop of our day of riding and it did not disappoint. The beer spot on...I had the lager and it was light and crisp. Pair it with a bag of chips! :) The deco, you can spend hours looking at the walls and the art work. They have games everywhere which makes it a great place to hang and drink beer. I won 3 out of 4 games of Shut the Box with the husband. :) Great beer, great service and the best decorate brewery I've ever been to!
