Sampler with Dolmas, tabbouleh, Hummus Dip AL, falafel - Mezze 4-IN-1 Combo Platter

Food-delish, quick and legit. Wish the forks and knives (no spoons!) weren't in a community cup unwrapped. Picky maybe but I'd feel better. Order at the counter and food is brought to you. It's very college town vibes. They had halva! Haven't had it in so long and never had it like they served it, in little pastry cups with sunflower seeds. Yum! Would go back!

All I can say is that Alee is soooo nice and he's very very kind and cheerful. The surroundings are so nice. It's so beautiful to see the style of the culture and the beauty of it all. I highly recommend it here.

Faye and I had lunch from Alee's Mediterranean (Middle Eastern and Balkan) Cafe today. I was deeply impressed, particularly the coffee maker! There is a small shopping area up front but equally beautiful. The food was delicious and well- prepared. We had felafel, spanakopita, pita, and baklava. We have eaten these things in many countries and our lunch was comparable to the best. We have been Alee's customer from the first days he opened a stand at the Lewisburg farmer's market. We love him because he adheres to the highest culinary standards.

We stopped in to try Alee's, intrigued by their Mediterranean side dish options! Once we went in we were so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful mini Mediterranean grocery options available. You can find anything from pickled turnips to dates to rose water!! As we were browsing the owner gave us a piece of baklava to try that was superb!! It tasted just like the ones I've had in Greece, perfectly crispy but with a syrupy finish with out being too sweet. They also have a fridge full of great sides ranging from falafel, grape leave dolma wraps, tabbouleh, imported feta, wild cucumbers, preserved lemon, and more. Such a hidden gem in Lewisburg and a must try.

UPDATED 11/27/22 Alee still refuses to pay out my tips. I finally filed a complaint. Alee (through his attorney) claims that I did not earn tips. They say I only did non-tipped work, such as maintaining his website. I had no access to his website! If you were waited on by me in 2021, I did NOT receive your tip and Alee is claiming I did not wait on you at all! He is a TIP STEALER.

Meh, not a fan but it's caffeine. Gotta be something better in town. My sister said there is a shop right down the street from where I am staying. So I dropped in at "Tastecraft". So glad I did! Tastecraft is in a cute little building on the Main Street in Lewisburg. They have 2 tables out front and 2 tables on a deck on the side of the building. The train tracks are right there on the side so it's a wonderful place to sit, sip your coffee and watch the world go by. Coffee is very good. Smooth, not bitter. Coffee is very flavorful. Lots of choices for lightener. Cream half and half oat milk almond milk reg milk etc.... They also have all kinds of snacks. I had a "wonut". What's a wonut? Let me tell you.... It's a mini Belgian waffle, deep fried and dipped in cinnamon sugar or plain sugar or glazed or a few other choices. I had cinnamon sugar. Oh my gads.... They have other snacks also. You will have to go there and check it out. The young ladies that work there are very friendly very patient, they answered all the questions this old lady asked them. Riley and Cece. Very helpful. Thank you, ladies! If I could give somewhere more than 5 stars, Tastecraft would get them. The coffee? Top notch for taste. Service? The women prepared my coffee perfectly and they did it with a friendly and professional attitude. Atmosphere? Nice, calm, cozy coffeehouse vibe. Will I be returning? You betcha!

They were consistently bustling no matter the time, but thankfully there was ample seating with plenty of natural light. The adjacent room also had numerous outlets, which made it ideal for studying. There was only one person working during my visits, so the wait for my drinks stretched to nearly 30 minutes. The menu wasn't the largest, offering a small selection of dependable staples with a few seasonal additions. *Strawberry Matcha: deeply earthy with a splash of milk. Most of the sweetness comes from the macerated strawberries at the bottom. A very well executed matcha option. *Pumpkin Chai: the pumpkin added gentle sweet and savory notes that paired nicely with the spiced chai. The spices and sweetness were subtle and, thankfully, not overshadowed by the milk. That said, there was some mild separation after my slow sipping. Overall, this was a stellar spot to chat over well crafted drinks. The abundance of outlets was both helpful and convenient. However, they truly need more than one person behind the counter to improve the overall pace of service.

The chai latte with maple syrup had a good amount of flavors to it and spices which I personally really liked and the maple really added a nice sweetness to it. I also got it with almond milk, which is nice the cappuccino had a nice strong espresso flavor, which I personally enjoyed and I felt like it was very well balanced with the milk in there and I would definitely go there again I loved the ambience of the place. I felt like I could study there four hours and the drinks were very very good.
