I am so impressed with Alejandro Salon. I usually see Alex and he does a fantastic job and I have never been disappointed. I called on such short notice this week and was able to get an appointment with Maribel. I had wanted to get a cut and color and they were so gracious to squeeze me in. However, when I got there and talked to Maribel about what I was hoping for she mentioned that based on what I had wanted and the time she had to do it, it probably wouldn't get done in the same appointment. This was actually a great sign that she cared enough about the the style I wanted and to know it would require more time. She didn't try to just squeeze me in with a rushed job. I appreciate it. On a Groupon, I tried this place & was delighted I got "Alejandro" Owner to Highlight & Trim my hair. He took forever while he chatted with his "Associate" and towards the end seem to give up & clump one side of hair! Too brassy, too lopsided & too distracted, I felt that if the owner could get away with unprofessional behavior, why bother to come back? GROUPON- never again. Very UNHAPPY! read more

I am so incredible disappointed the way Shantal Perez handled a Groupon discount. Took a friend and she and another associate charged more than double and never mentioned the actual cost at the time of service. The color didn't turn out the way anticipated and my friend never got a haircut which she had to pay for because they were closing.... customer service was zilch... It's really too bad and I am not accustomed to displaying disappointing reviews but just know if you do any service with this salon through Groupon....expect a huge surprise when you pay. Over a $200 between my friend and I over and above the Groupon discount. That's price gouging as far as I'm concerned. I bought a Groupon for a single process hair dye and hair cut. The salon looks small but it has enough hairdressers. I wanted just a simple color that didn't need to much maintenance so in asked for a chocolate brown color and Ashton helped me choose the perfect shade of brown for my hair. My hair is down to my waist so I was nervous about having someone cut my hair shorter, because it took me two years to grow it out, but Ashton really listened to me and just cut one inch off. Ashton dyed my hair, trimmed the ends and styled it for me. I love the end result! My hair looks much better now. She was very friendly, I felt really comfortable getting my hair done by her. Trying to find a great stylist is a mission, but I've found my go to girl at Alejandro's! Taylor is so sweet and patient. She's affordable and knows how to work with my hair after I thought box dye ruined it. It's healthy, strong, and beautiful. I always wanted pink hair and she gets my color just the way I want it! She is an amazing color specialist! She even checks up on me for follow up appointments and works with my crazy work schedule. She does weddings and other special events, so I know who is my go to for when those days come! If you need a great stylist she's your girl! I was there on Wednesday night and I got THE WORST HAIR CUT that I have had in my whole life. I feel sad when I look in the mirror. A guy named Cisco was the one who messed up my hair, he cut way to much, he didn't listen to what I was saying and one side of my hair is shorter than the other. Second time here and my last. I came in to have my hair down by the owner thinking he would do a fabulous job. Boy was I wrong. Extremely unprofessional and lazy. How do you know what your client wants without talking to them? I have a full weave and for a root touch up he does half a weave!!!! Where is his common sense? Oh and forget putting a base color. Went here to use a GroupOn I had purchased. STYLIST: Shelby cut my thick, dry, curly hair and gave an decent weave of highlights. It took her over three hours and my butt was definitely sore when I left the salon, but she has a wonderful personality and seemed to be a hard worker. She did charge me an extra $25 just for the toner, and still left the red in my hair that I mentioned I didn't want three times. I've never been charged for toner before, is this a SoCal thing? It just seemed a little overboard after the ginormous tip I gave her... SALON: I had called the salon the morning before and couldn't get ahold of anyone, so I left a message. I called again the next day just before closing to see why no one had returned my call. The woman that answered had my name and number down, just never returned my call...? The bathroom and salon was relatively clean and they provided me with some tea while I waited. My experience here wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either; it was forgettable. Probably wouldn't go back unless I can find a better deal to justify spending the extra they charge for toning out their own mistakes... read more

I normally go to Great Clips for a basic trim. I wanted something different and more stylish than the usual so I bought a Groupon for Alejandro. This was my first time EVER at a "fancy salon" and was expecting something more professional and well, different. Instead, I got a straight, super simple and speedy cut. My stylist seemed rushed or distracted (or maybe just an off day?) and wasn't too interested in my ideas. Either way, I'll probably just stick to Great Clips since it costs way less for the same end result. read more

You know that hair experiences where you feel helpless and all can do is cry. Thats what I got. Shelby was very sweet but I'm now stuck with brown, black and green hair. I had a teal on the tips of my hair and was ready for a change. I was charged $75 for a color correction that made my hair look so bad! No refund, so I went in again to get the color correction fixed and now that its been dyed twice, the color is still brown on top, black on bottom, with shades of ugly green and some streaks of green. I have naturally curly hair and the bottoms are dried out and won't curl. I look so ridulious. So now my last option is to cut it all off. read more

I needed a hair stylist for my wedding this past September, and I was referred to Alexandra by a friend, and I couldn't have been happier! I had 10 bridesmaids, my mother and flower girl that needed work on as well. Not only did she also bring with her another stylist, Jessica, but she also offered me a hair consultation as well as to all of my girls, yes - included in her price! Her prices are competitive and very reasonable for all the time she puts in. She was available by phone, email, and text, and even answered all of my late-night, last minute, crazy bride-to-be texts. (sorry and thank you!) Alexandra is very easy to get along with, had a smile on her face all the time, and can crack some jokes as well. Oh, did I mention she does makeup too?! I also had a makeup consultation with her, and girls, she knows how to use her makeup brushes! But just out of the sheer number of my wedding party, I decided to have Alexandra focus on hair, and if need be, slip in some makeup work. I have long straight hair, and I wanted long loose, romantic curls for my wedding. We had a full long discussion of how my hair does not hold a curl, and during my consult she worked on my hair to see how my hair reacts. She even offered to look for hair extensions for me if I wanted some, which she matched perfectly!!! I loved everything about my hair for the day of my wedding!! You made me feel beautiful and helped me be worry-free. My bridesmaids also looked amazing and they were very happy on how their hairstyle turned out as well. She was super nice and did an amazing job! We started by looking at swatches together and she ended up mixing me a custom color because none were exactly what I wanted. The results were far better than I had imagined. After the color, she gave me a trim, blew me out and I was done! I gave her my Groupon voucher, and that was it... No catches or extra add on fees. I specifically asked for an experienced hair dresser that could work with fine hair. There assured me Ashton was the one. When I met with her I clearly said - do not cut layers in to my hair. She cut layers and then some. The color was more awful than the cut. I had streaks of orange, green and grey. It cost me $200 at another salon to try to fix the mess. I have natural salt and pepper hair and wanted to go full silver for my s&p to grow into, but lightening someone's hair as dark as mine is some serious business and I needed someone who really knew what they are doing.
