Love getting my hair done at ArchiTexture. I can't gate keep any longer, Manny is it. The best stylist and kindest person. I look forward to my visits. For the past two years I have gone to Manny. Never disappoints. I am a lazy hair person and he gives me that low maintenance highlight and good cut that I need! While I am getting my hair did, I like to sit out on their patio and admire the plants and succulents. Such a relaxing space. I appreciate that he listens and also talks to me about options. I always get the same, but I like to consider options lol. His prices are insanely good. He is busy, so making an appointment in advance is required. I love their online resy system. Today (Tuesday in late April) was a rare occasion where the whole day was dedicated to my well being & self care. My friend & hair stylist/colorist EXTRAORDINAIRE did my hair & did an AMAZING job! It has been more of a mop on my head than hair lately. As an ambitious & HARD HUSTLING caterer, I don't have much time for self-care, but I'm making time. I'm re-training & re-conditioning myself to put myself & my needs before business & home life. THAT IS VERY HARD FOR ME. But Kia is not just a stylist, she has become a great friend I have come to love & trust. There is no one else I trust to take care of my hair & hair needs because not only is she so great at her job, she makes you comfortable & puts you at ease. She accidentally double booked me & another one of her friends, but honestly I didn't mind. I had time to sit & just be still for once. And I even got a few calls & emails in. So I went to this salon, because I was in need of a cut and wanted to dye my hair brown with an ombre/balayage. I looked at the salon on yelp and it had great reviews. Manny, in particularly had great reviews. I booked an appt with Manny and when I got to the salon he was very warm, welcoming and we had a great conversation throughout the whole appt. I showed Manny pictures of what I wanted and he said no problem. I talked to him about how much I wanted to chop off too and he understood. The end result wasn't what I was hoping for and I was a little disappointed with the color. However, I spoke to Manny and he was very understanding and apologetic. He offered a full refund back, which I really appreciated! This definitely made me happy and feel like I would give this salon another chance. read more

I was referred by a friend to take my grandson to ArchiTexture to have his FIRST hair cut and Manny came highly recommend. When we arrived we were told we did not have appointment . I scheduled appointment online on Thursday 10/24/2019 around 11:30am. When we arrived the young girl tried to help us but she stated she could not find appointment for my grandson. There was two ladies working and I said well if Manny does not have time then if anyone else could cut his hair they both were very rude and said they were to busy. My first impression of this establishment was very displeasing. I would not recommend for anyone to go there. There are a lot of other hairdressers here and Ventura who have better attitudes this one's this one. We walked out and went somewhere else. Each one of these ladies was so sweet and wonderful to me, they made me feel special. I have NEVER colored my hair before and entrusted it to Erika who is clearly an artist in many many ways, with her cool confidence and unending patience she made it easy to enjoy the experience. Being half Puerto Rican I have a lot of curly hair and have had some bad experiences in the past so it's not always easy to trust someone new, but I feel like I have found a new home for my hair. I have never been fond of my hair. I kept it long because I had no idea what to do with it, but I finally had enough of it one day and made an appointment here to get it all chopped off. Megan showed me the light. She cut my hair from below my shoulders to an androgynous pixie cut, explained what she was doing at each step (as I had never had hair nearly that short before) and asked my opinion before she made major cuts. She never questioned me once on my decision as others did when I explained why I was cutting it. She gave me tips for low maintenance styling that didn't cost a fortune, and I can say without a doubt now that I LOVE my hair. It feels like I've gotten more compliments on it in the last month and a half than the entire rest of my life, and I have Megan to thank. My only regret is that I had to move out of state shortly after - I would go nowhere else but here if I was still in Ventura County. read more

Kia is absolutely wonderful!! I've been going to her for quite a while now and don't see myself going to anyone else as long as I live within two hours of her! When I first started going to her I had long hair and she was very patient with me as I requested the bare minimum trimmed off the ends. Eventually I asked her to take about 8 inches off. Last week she brought my hair to above my shoulders and I love it! She's fun, professional and most importantly listens to what you want and works with you to find a cut or color that will look and feel best! I have been going to Erika for years. She is a great stylist! She's kept me from doing some really stupid stuff. I have a lot of curly hair, and its difficult to manage. Erika recently helped me to explore a Keratin straightener. It has absolutely changed my life! My hair is smooth,shiny and looks really healthy. Instead of being at the mercy of my unpredictable curly/frizzy hair, I look polished every day with almost no effort. For the first time in my life, I'm not at war with my hair. I've gone to ArchiTexture twice and both times Carolina has done an amazing job on coloring, trimming, and face framing my hair. My hair just starting growing from being color damaged from self dying and she has been able to keep my desired length all while trimming all the dead ends. She's super sweet and very professional.
