My dishwasher suffered an internal mechanical failure that caused extensive water damage to my flooring. The Alert Appliance technician came out, completed an inspection, and sent their diagnostic report directly to the warranty provider. However, they flatly refused to provide a copy of this technical breakdown to me, stating they are contractually barred from giving reports to homeowners. Whats shocking to me is how all these reports 1 star reviews are from AHS warranty referrals. This is some very serious collusion, and its no secret why they hide the report. If you get a second opinion you can hold it against them. When you call the warranty company, they tell you to get it from the technician. When you call Alert Appliance, they tell you to get it from the warranty company. This 48-hour circular runaround is a deliberate tactic. By withholding the physical report for an appliance inside your own home, they prevent you from getting an independent second opinion, confirming what actually broke, or moving forward with property insurance claims to mitigate water damage. Look at the historical ratings here--this is a documented pattern of writing blind reports to trigger claim denials while hiding the paper trail from the paying customer. ABSOLUTELY WORST COMPANY EVER! For three months this company wasted my time coming and going from my home replacing this part and that part on my dishwasher that simply would not work. What's worse, is that the first technician that came refused to come back because he admitted to the other technician who came that he didn't want to return because he didn't want to pull the dishwasher out. When he did not show up, I called them office and was told he was in am accident. What's more, I was supposed to hear back on March 3, 2026 for additional communication on whether ot not they were going to replace yet another part or write the report for American Home Shield to cash me out. I had call them the next day and they tried to tell that the service order was closed but when I called American Home Shield, they said that that was not the case and that they would contact them to come back, wasting more of my time. I'm going to start by saying if my washer wasn't under warranty, i would absolutely NOT EVER use this company again to repair our even look at my appliances! Issue- small leak under washer. Tech shows up and immediately says it's the seal on my front load. Doesn't even take anything apart. I had to tell him "are you sure". So he took the unit apart and came back and said, yes. It's the seal, I'm going to order it. He came back a week later to replace and broke my washer in the process, he said you have to slam the door to get it to lock, "that's standard " I responded and said we've never had to slam it before though. His response was, well there's another part I have to order. I asked, can we use it still? He said yes, should be fine, once he left my wife tried to put a load in and the washer wouldn't even turn on anymore. 2 days later the washer turned on by itself. He returned a week later with a new part and I explained, the unit is still leaking. He said okay, I need to order more parts, it looks like it could be the hose under the unit. Not it is the hose, he liberally said I think its the hose under the unit. So another 2 weeks go by and nothing from them so my wife's calls it in again and they tell us the ticket has been completed and closed. SMH... We told them absolutely not fixed! We need them to return and fix it properly and they told us since the work was done we needed to open a new ticket through Lowe's which we did. Guy shows up two days later, takes the seal off and reinstalled it and said its fixed amd if it leaks again to take a video and he would keep the ticket open until we called andcsaid it was no longer leaking. Here we are a week later, we called to tell them the problem is still occurring and again, they told us the ticket has been closed because it was repaired on their last visit and if we wanted a tech to come out we would need to open another ticket! This is the worst company I have dealt with. It was sent to my home to repair my appliance , and it was recommended by American Home Shield. The technician was very unprofessional, rude and try to be "Smart" After calling them back to the phone and spoke with a lady called "Mel" they decided to close my repair. We're going on two months now and I've been calling several times every week to find out where the part is and I continuously get the answer of the part was ordered in November and they're not sure where it is. It's somewhere in transit, but they don't have a tracking number. They can't track it. They don't know where it's coming from and that they will call us when they get more information. They never call to update me on any information because they have no information and I now have to go buy a whole brand new dishwasher and wait for them to come and fix the original one I had so that I can flip that one. I filed a warranty claim no 6/7/2025 for my LG Refrigerator that was showing FF E error. They sent Alert Appliance to fix the refrigerator. The Refrigerator showed the FF E error 20 minutes after the tech replaced the fan module. I called Alert Appliance and they sent the tech back out and this time he claimed it was a bad controller. They replaced the controller and it didn't resolve the issue. They then claimed it was a compressor issue and will no longer return my calls. The refrigerator is cooling and freezing perfect but none of the controls work and it shows CO E error "failure to communicate with controller". This has been going on for over 2 months. read more

Worse service ever. With an extended warranty claim with Assurant, this joke of company had sent a tech over 5 times in 3 months to see my washer. Every single time the tech reported the visit as completed even when the washer still not fix. Then they have the nerve to tell me that I need to call Assurant again and again because the repair is marked as completed cannot do nothing. Their tech told me, in the 4th visit, that he doesn't know why he keeps coming back if already told the office that the washer is not repairable and that never had reported the visit as completed and the washer repaired. On the last straw, when called again to seek status, they told me again need to call Assurant to get the tech coming back, as I told them what the tech said to me, this time they someone new who came on Sat to take all the inside parts of the washer, leaving an empty shell, saying needed the parts to take pics to support the replacement but only to get an email from the thieves of Assurant stating that my claim was finally denied, after 3 months of calling almost every week and going to family and friends houses to wash my family clothing every week, because I did not did proper maintenance of the machine!!! Very suspicious that they refuse to pay for a new replacement as the contract states at 2 months of the same to expire. I had an extended warranty on my washer purchased from Lowes. It was making a screeching noise so I filed a claim. Alert Appliance was sent out to assess the issue. The tech they sent had a heavy Russian accent (just to identify him) and seemed so confused as to why it was making this noise. He kept asking over and over "the washer is working right?". After a few minutes, he said it was the water pump and he would order the part and be back on Friday. On Friday, I called Alert to check on the status of the repair, and was told the washer was working so the tech closed out the ticket. I was furious! I called the warranty company and they sent out D3S Appliance Service and the tech very quickly assessed it was the "shifter" replaced the part, and the washer is now working properly. This is the worst company we have ever had to deal with. Our warranty people hired them to come and fix our refrigerator. The tech had a document he wanted me to sign saying if he caused damage to our refrigerator they are not liable and other ridiculous things on the list. When I said I would like more clarification from his supervisor by phone because all he kept saying was "no sign paper I go home early". I guess I was his last appt of the day. When I repeatedly asked for him to let me talk to someone in mgmt he just said "I go home early" and he walked out the door. It was unbelievable that someone with this poor of customer service skills represents a company, acts like this /walks out to a customer, and still has a job. That is probably why their reviews are so bad. I had to take off work (vacation day) just to meet this guy at my house because the window they give you is 12-6pm. Unbelievable! If there was anything less than 1 star that I could give, I would. Select Alert from my Lowes protection for my dryer because they were the closest company to my home. Technician walked into my home and flat out told me he had no idea why my dryer was pausing mid cycle and starting back up. Explained that we checked/cleaned all vents, including the one in our home to which he turned to me and said "I don't trust clients cleaning their own vents and you need to hire a professional company to come in and do it." He said because he didn't know the cause he would ask his manager to come out for a second opinion. A week later I had not heard anything so I called Alert and was told he had not turned in a ticket for my home so they had no idea and would have to call me back. 3 days later, they call me back to schedule. I had already called Lowes protection and told them I absolutely do not want that company back on my property and to please send my ticket to Royal Appliances. Royal has since come to my home and prior to even stepping foot inside my home the Technician was able to tell me from my description of the issue, my dryer needs a motor. One simple thing to know about this company. They were assigned to us by American Home Shield and based on that we were comfortable with them. The reality is that after coming to our home to repair a refrigerator door, they lied to both us and AHS as to what caused the damage and where they got the original part to fix the door. They claimed damage was done by brunt force on pur part in closing the door. Absurd! And that the replacement part they tried to install, which proved to be the wrong part, came from AHS, AHS stated clearly that they never sent Alert any parts to repair our refrigerator, Stay away from this company! Our ice maker stopped working, was not flowing water into the ice cube tray to freeze. We notified American Home Shield, who referred the issue to Alert Appliance on a Friday. The next Wednesday, I finally contacted Alert Appliance, since they had not responded. A repair visit was scheduled for Friday. The technician evaluated the ice maker and told me the motor seemed to be not working, a new one would have to be ordered. Stating he wasn't sure if it would be covered. The next week I heard nothing, so I called Alert on Wednesday for an update. The part had not been ordered, the dispatcher apologized, sent the order in. 12 days later, they finally came and replaced the motor for our ice maker. But by 3 days, the ice maker was leaking water down the inside of the door of the receptacle, and out the front dispenser. The residual leaking caused the entire inside ice receptacle freeze in a layer of ice. When the ice maker is about to drop ice into the receptacle, it groans loud enough to wake us up in the night. We put in another request to American Home Shield, who then referred Alert again. Several days later Alert Appliance contacted me and 7 days later they could send a technician. Each time the tech removes the diagram instructions that come with the refrigerator to find what to do. He stated the water flow needed adjusting and did so. 4 days later, we have the same issue with the inside ice receptacle frozen with ice and a constant drip on the outside ice dispenser, as well as less ice being made. We followed up with Alert and they sent the technician 2 days later. He adjusted the flow again. After 7 days of less ice, a frozen mess and no resolution, I contacted American Home Shield directly. She placed me on hold to contact Alert, but they did not answer. While I was on hold with AHS, Alert was attempting to call me. American Home Shield said they would continue to try to reach Alert to allow them to fix the issue. By this time, I have defrosted my ice maker area 5 times. A mess that takes 4 hours or so with a blow dryer, fan, and lots of towels. Alert sent a Senior technician the next day. He was here at least 2 1/2 hours, said he thought there was a blockage in the water line feeding our ice maker...? But he also stated the temperature was not cold enough on the freezer portion, so he cleared out the lines. Then added Freon and said it should be fixed. So, after 5 visits to repair my ice maker over almost 2 months, it is still not fixed. My unit is less than 10 years old and I'm afraid they are going to break it. Not happy. read more

American Home Shield assigned ALERT Appliance for my microwave and oven repair. ALERT Appliance picked up my appliances on August 29th. New parts needed to be ordered so when I didn't hear back immediately I wasn't too concerned. When I hadn't heard from ALERT Appliance in three weeks I got worried. I called ALERT Appliance on September 21st. The dispatcher needed to check with the shop and get back with me. I received a call the next day, September 22nd and all of a sudden my appliances were ready to be brought back to my house. This was suspicious and I knew something was up so I kept asking the dispatcher if my appliances were actually fixed. To this I didn't get a yes or no answer and the technician was scheduled to bring back my microwave and oven the following Monday, September 25th. The microwave was fixed, however, the oven was not. There was a language barrier so I wasn't able to effectively communicate with the technician. I don't know if the technician was telling me the part couldn't be found or didn't come in or I would get called if they found it. I don't know but in any case I have a non-working oven after three weeks of using my air fryer to cook everything. I'm so frustrated that the only thing I can do is try to make sure no one else goes through this.
