Stay all the way away from this company. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an appliance services company. Looking at the other reviews, I'm surprised how they can even remain in business and call themselves a repair company. The only thing they've done for me has been breaking my appliance. This is borderline fraudulent as I question the qualifications and their ability to perform any type of appliance repair given they have been horrible with communication and also broke my refrigerator. Regardless of how they respond, this is inexcusable, especially when it was working before their arrival. I was assigned by my extended warranty to address some minor issues with with the temperature control and ice/water dispenser. The initial appointment resulted in the technician saying they needed to order additional parts, which is normal. After that was when things took a turn for the worse. Responsiveness and communication from this company has been non-existent. They only time I got an update was when I called. Finally the parts came in and they arrived for the appointment. Prior to the second appointment, at least my refrigerator/freezer was keeping cold. However, mid-way through the appointment, the technician said we needed another part and OUTRIGHT LIED saying the warranty didn't cover the part (when I followed up with the warranty company, they assured me they had no record of this and that they usually approve all parts). At that point, the refrigerator wouldn't even turn on and he could not, at least, get it back in the state in which he found it. He left (despite my insistence on getting a working appliance at least to the extent prior to them showing up). Long story short, they broke my refrigerator and left it in a worse condition that they found it and have done nothing to address the issue. This company will lie to you! Two of their technicians told me my downdraft had a mechanical failure. They went as far as to tell me they t was unsafe to use and need to be repaired or replaced. However, they reported to the home warranty company it was not a mechanical failure, it was functional and just making noise. When confronted with this information by the home warranty company, they stated that they submitted the incorrect documents and would revise their documents and resubmit. However, they never resubmitted their documents and continued to standby that it was not a mechanical failure. read more

I guess I'm at least happy to know that I'm not alone in my feelings about this company. My refiderator went out for the first back in June of last year. One day it decided it wasn't going to stay cold anymore. Since it was still under warrenty I filed a claim with Assurant, who then set up an appointment with Yota. They came out the very next day to look at and were on time. I thought, "Great this will be fixed in no time". The tech said they needed to order a part and once the part came in they would be back to fix my fridge. So we waited... and waited. Finally, I got a text with an appointment date and time. No one showed up or called to say they weren't coming or that the appointment had been rescheduled. Then I get another text with another day and time, and again no one shows up so I call and ask what's going on. They then tell me they were still waiting for the part to arrive. So why are you having me sit at home waiting when you know you're not coming?! To make an extremely long story short, it is now going on 7 months later and Yota has been to my home no less than 5 times to "fix" my refidgerator. Parts have been repaired and replaced and it still is not working. Assurant will refused to replace it because Yota won't say that they can't fix it, despite the fact that I have had 2 technitions in my home say "if this doesn't work I don't there's nothing else we can do". So who do I blame? Assurant or Yota? Maybe if I was paying out of pocket they might acctually attempt to fix it. There are burn marks inside my refidgerator from their so called "repairs". I now I have yet another appointment, waiting on another part that was ordered 10 days ago. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. I currently have a warranty through Lowe's for appliance repair for my refrigerator that stopped cooling over a week ago. The warranty work was sourced out to this company - YOTA Appliance repair and I have not received any updates, I have not received communication. The part was supposed to be in yesterday 6/12/24 and they have yet to confirm it's in nor have I got on the schedule for repair. Unfortunately, I am left to sit and wait because this company works at a snails pace without any consideration for its customers. Here's my experience: My local appliance insurance provider dispatched this company to look at my freezer in San Diego, which wasn't producing ice. The technician confirmed there was an issue but said it was a water line behind the foam casing that likely couldn't be serviced. When I followed up a week later, I was told they were working with the insurance provider to order parts. However, another week passed, and I received an email stating my warranty claim was denied, with the explanation that my freezer was damaged and not covered. After multiple back-and-forths between the insurance provider and this company, they maintained that their assessment was correct. I reached out to their customer relations team via email to dispute the accusation, explaining that my freezer model is known for this specific issue (provided review links), previous service tech(different company) came out and was fine (a few months ago). and even offered some options to resolve it. They didn't respond, so I called them today. The response? "There's nothing we can do--talk to your insurance provider." Despite my attempts to work with them and resolve this issue fairly, they showed no willingness to help. I finally let them know that if they didn't try to work with me, I would have no choice but to write reviews to inform others about my experience. Yota cane out to look at my refrigerator and determined that I needed a new seal and that they would order the part. I called back 4 days later and they said the ticket had been closed. They said I had to call FAW and reopen the ticket. Now they have to send out a person again . I have to take off work for the appointment. They must get paid each time they come to your home. This is my 2nd dealing with Yota. Avoid them they are awful. And avoid First American Warrenty. I tried to file a complaint with FAW but you can't. read more

This is definitely the worse experience we have ever had with a repair facility. We had no choice for choosing Yota. We had the Lowe's protection plan with our Maytag Smart washing machine. Our washer was one year and four months old. The technician came out three times but was not able to repair our machine. After the third attempt we were notified by the Lowe's protection plan administrator that they would return our full amount for the washer but we would have to use Lowe's to purchase a new washer. It had been six weeks and we really needed a washer so we just gave up and gave in. We now have a new washer but with the new Lowe's protection plan we hope they provide better choices for repair shops. This was truly a long nightmare. We never could really figure out if it was Lowe's or Assurant that administered the protection plan. read more

My microwave needed a simple fix back in the beginning of may. We are now in July and have had 0 fix. First guy came out a week after the request was input and left within 2 minutes saying he knew the part that was needed. They took a week to get the part in and then no called no showed for the appoinment. Rescheduled for the next day. When they actually showed up to install it did not fix the issue. New diagnosis was motor was bad. That was a Thursday, they still have not submitted it to the home warranty for repair and it is the following Wednesday. My dryer was squeaking so I called Lowe's Protection plan where I had a policy. YOTA came out within 3 days which I was pleased. They needed parts so I had to wait a few days for parts. THEN they set an appointment after the part came in. They could have setup the appointment prior. After another week of waiting for the day to finally come, they did not show up. Did not call they were not going to show up. I had to call and that's when they claim the part arrived broken. They did not call or message me. We had a bad experience with Yota. We purchased an appliance package from Lowes and we got the Lowes warranty on all 3 appliances. The dishwasher was a year old when it quit working. We made a warranty claim and were assigned to Yota for the repairs. They came out and said they needed to order a valve. The part came in and they came back out to make the repair. The valve did not solve the issue, so he advised that it was a control board that needed to be replaced. He advised again that he would order the part and come back out to replace it. Two days later, we received an email from the warranty company, Assurant, that our warranty claim had been denied because Yota had advised them that we had a rodent issue and that rodents caused damage to our dishwasher. I advised them that we did not have a rodent issue, and when we told Assurant that the repair company had been out twice and had even replaced a part on the dishwasher, they asked for proof of the appointments that we had with Yota and photos of the valve that was replaced. Assurant ended up setting us up an appointment with a different repair company for a second opinion. The new repair company came out this morning and advised that there was no damaged caused by rodents and that he pinpointed the issue with our dishwasher and that he would order the correct parts or that Assurant may choose to replace the dishwasher instead of making the repairs. Also, the repair man advised us that the valve that the prior repair company had replaced should have been a genuine LG part, and it wasn't. He could tell by the packaging that Yota had ordered a "no name brand" part from Amazon. Thank goodness we didn't just give up after Yota screwed us over the first time. They are liars and have no experience in appliance repair; honestly, they shouldn't even be in business. I have advised Assurant that they need to drop them from their list of appliance repair companies due to the ton of horrible reviews on yelp. read more

As I read bad review after bad review on this company, the angrier I get. We have also been swindled by YOTA. They have made 4 service calls to repair our washing machine (under warranty through Lowe's). We were told a transmission needed to be replaced. It took weeks for the part to come in, and when it did, the repairman (Ilya) broke the mounting bolt when installing it. He claimed he needed to order a tool to remove the broken bolt and would replace it. He then returned to say he broke the tool, couldn't replace the bolt, and would need to order another transmission. Our Lowe's protection plan has denied the claim to replace the transmission HE broke, and now we are left with a broken washer and a warranty that runs out in January. We have been washing our clothes at the laundromat for months as we've gone through the warranty process in good faith, only to be left holding the bag for YOTA's criminal activity. I will be making a claim with the BBB, and I urge anyone smart enough to read reviews first to stay far, far away from this company!!! read more
