Though my parent enjoys it at the Manor, I've been concerned about continuous increases in the rent and fees, especially the latest increase of just shy of 15%! This latest increase seems to have pushed residents "over the edge," with several now moving out to nicer and cheaper alternatives. The Manor seems to have also lost several good and caring employees that we really liked. I'm starting to get concerned about the trends I've been witnessing. I hope these trends don't continue.

When we walked in the door at Manor Village, we knew we had found Moms new home. We were greeted by Wesley Wilkins who provided us with a tour and as we moved throughout the building, Wesley knew all the residents that we came in contact with as well as employees. You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier. It has been such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Manor Village if you're looking for a facility that will treat your loved one like family. Many activities are happening for the residents. A menu is posted for the daily meals. There are two seating times for each meal. Several of us went to visit a friend who now lives there. The facility allows pets and we met Lily of the Valley, our friend's cat. The rooms are good sized with bedroom and sitting area. A small microwave and refrigerator are in the room. The cleaning staff come often. While we were sitting in her room, a staff person came to visit. She was there to help bathe our friend, but said she would come back later. It was an enjoyable visit. They have their own parking lot.

Initially the cuisine was exceptional but began a decline about the time of the pandemic from which it has not recovered. The HVAC system is not very reliable and may be the source of the intense dust. Most staff are pleasant and helpful. A dedicated service elevator is sorely needed in Building 3----the smallest elevator is also the most used and is often entirely taken up with soiled laundry, trash making use by the many walkers and wheelchairs a real problem. Special holiday meals in Palo Verde are often very good (any way the champagne flutes can be well chilled?) and of much higher quality than daily meals in the Grill or Sonoran.

The house is fairly new, modern and cozy. All needs are addressed and there's nothing they won't do to make it a comfortable experience. Svetlana's (owner) attention to all the details is impeccable. It has a homey feel and the beautiful home and surroundings is topped off with a high standard of care. All of the caregivers have been compassionate, loving and caring to both of my parents' needs. The home itself is new, clean and beautifully designed. There is a large patio and backyard with mini golf. All the meals are home cooked and they pay attention to dietary needs. There are certified caregivers on site 24/7. This home accommodates up to 6 residents so it provides tailored attention to each resident. No one is lost in the shuffle like that of a larger facility. I hope this review helps any one who is faced with a difficult decision of where your love one can reside. My original goal was to have them move in with me however after observing all the love and care they receive now through this group home, I would have done my parents and myself a disservice. I can now rest easy knowing that they will get around the clock professional and tailored attention. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and the residents genuinely love living here. There is a variety of daily activities for those that want to participate, quality food onsite (all meals included), and plenty of additional amenities that help make living here super convenient. It's also a great location just east of Scottsdale on Shea. The apartments themselves are a great size and the entire facility is clean and vibrant. I'm not sure if this will be "home" for the long term for my mom, but it has been perfect for the time being.

Yesterday, I went to visit them and have lunch with them at their facility's restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I marveled at how new and beautiful everything looked. There was even a slight smell of fresh paint to add to the newness. The decor in the lobby was gorgeous and upscale, with high ceilings, inventive light fixtures, and lots of seating. The restaurant offers sit-down service. They have daily specials and a soup of the day. They had a good variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts for lunch. The brownie was my favorite part of the meal. It was decadent! This facility allows for small pets. There is a dog run area outside. There's also a heated pool and a gorgeous seating area outside with a large television mounted on the wall. My friend showed me the activity schedule. They offer many fitness and enrichment classes, such as art classes in the art studio. There are also bridge, rummikub, and mahjong groups that meet on a regular basis. This facility is not yet at 100% capacity. I would definitely recommend booking a tour if you are in the market for retirement living, assisted living, or memory care.

Dad enjoys the good food and the staff are kind to him, he also does some light work by his own choice which the staff allows to give him that sense of home. He likes to blow leaves and he says he occasionally assists with trash or drying dishes. He feels very at home. For me I notice that he gets good medical care and the team is very communicative with me. Many services are performed on sight. Initially, I looked at a ton of reviews and toured a few different facilities for memory care around the valley. This was the only place that I could see myself being happy if I was to be living in a memory care facility or group home. It feels like a regular very nice house with caregivers. It's a difficult decision to put a parent in a home, but in this case I felt I made a great choice. Dad is not capable of living with me as I have too much responsibility at home and his care needs are vast, and yet, he is not so sick that he needs to be in a hospital setting and I'm sure he doesn't want to feel he's in some sort of institution.
