Parking sucked, that was a busy little lot. Walking in, the establishment was dingy. I still proceeded to get 1 glazed twist and 1 sprinkle donut. I introduced my boyfriend to this local donut shop, and it has become our favorite late night place to go/early morning before work. Love their blueberry donuts but was told one random Sunday I went they do not make them on Sundays because not enough people buy them on Sundays. Okay, I understand. Fast forward to today, April 3rd, came at 3am with my boyfriend, which happened to be on a Friday. Boyfriend started with "Can I get a cookies and cream drink?" Older man immediately refused to do a blended drink. Another person came in behind asking to get a frappé style drink as well for his wife whom he was getting off the phone with. He told both them I don't do them on Fridays , "too much work", massaging his shoulders. Attempting to get us to order hot coffee, which we did not come in for. We also asked him for another bag to separate our donuts, as we usually pick up for some neighbors and this man, he ignored my boyfriend. It's just so crazy to refuse business that would generate more money for your business. Other man left pissed off. We would have understood if they were busy and told us we had to wait to get our one blended drink. But, he just rudely ignored our orders, threw in the donuts in a bag. But at this time, again, almost 3AM... there were only us, two groups of people, who both wanted blended drinks. Was such an unpleasant visit this time around. Side note, we have gotten blended drinks all previous visits. The lovely older lady served us and made our drink. I hope we just caught him on a bad Friday. But, he did say he did not do blended drinks on Fridays. 2 stars. 1 for the awful service, today. 1 for the blueberry donuts and cream filled. Will try again on another Friday. read more

This was a recommendation of Yelp. I wanted to find the best donuts in the South Bay and this was one of them. We drove down to the plaza and didn't exactly see it. It's all the way in the corner next to Wilmington Blvd. The donuts are the best I've had from a small business store. They were light and airy and most importantly, delicious. I'm glad that it worked out for me and my family and look forward to my next visit. We ordered two sugar and glazed, three different sprinkles, old fashions, some chocolate and others. Definitely give this place a try. The workers are very nice they have a lot of other goodies to enjoy. read more

Been coming to this donut shop for years. I love their iced coffee (hazelnut to be specific). Tried everything from their donuts to their croissants. It doesn't disappoint. First of all I have been coming to this donut shop for over a year, I have tried donuts, croissants, and ice coffees. By far the best donuts in the SouthBay: 1. They do not get hard after a day, they stay fresh for a couple of days. 2. It's open by 3am! 3. The ice coffees from here are amazing and affordable definitely beats Starbucks. The service is here is great, a typical mom and pop shop small business. Which I love to support, I promise this place is amazing. Now walking in do not judge the place, because it does need a little facelift but, the donuts are amazing they're fresh, moist and tasty. read more

Came here on a Tuesday morning and they had a really good selection of donuts. I'm not big on donuts but I'm pregnant and had a craving. They had my favorite donut which is the chocolate with peanuts on top. I was impressed with their donuts and so were my coworkers. Treated my coworkers and we were all happy. They also have muffins that look good so I'll try them next time I stop by. Good service and prices. I've visited just about most of the local donut shops in the city and by far this is the best of them all. Donuts are flavorful and just what you would expect out of a donut. Fluffy and sweet. Small, unassuming, with nothing distinctive except for a simple DONUTS in yellow atop the storefront. Don't let the basic appearance fool you--these may be the best donuts in Carson. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. They don't have displays busting at the seams with donuts, but they do have a wonderful variety available. (I'm assuming they make fresh batches throughout the day, which is why stock is never overflowing.) When I'm in here people always seem to be dropping by for coffee. A dozen is $7.99, which isn't bad at all. In past experiences when I've ordered a dozen, they always throw some in for free. How nice! They accept credit cards but charge an additional $0.50 for purchases under $10. My favorite is their soft, buttery, fluffy blueberry donut. They also have some donuts that look straight out of a cartoon with a bright, thick fruity glaze. The orange was quite tasty. While I had my car in for service at Carson Toyota, I found more than two dozen of Alex's Donuts in the Customer Lounge. Very nice appealing variety, including two of my favorites. Almost had the maple bar, but I settled on one of the largest glazed buttermilk donuts that I've ever had! That was at 7:30 a.m. and I'm still full at 10:00! read more

Decoration is minimal, but who really looks at that when you're just grabbing food to go. I opted to go to this shop, instead of ordering my croissant breakfast from the starbucks in the same lot because of the reviews for this place. I was greeted upon entering and 3 people were ready to help the morning crowd. They were efficient. I ordered the bacon, egg, ham croissant and loved how it wasn't greasy and the bread tasted nice. Only issue was the egg wasn't distributed evenly but enjoyed that it was real egg. I don't know what type of cheese they use, it was white, but it was subtle and enhanced the sandwhich. It was large so I just finished it this morning, 3 days later and after a few seconds in the microwave still just as delicious. I feel like that says a lot about quality. Will come here again if I am ever in the area again. Have to try those pretty drinks. read more

My job requires me to speak to large groups of people so I'm buying a dozen donuts every couple of days and I haven't written a review or any donut shop until now. I bought a dozen back to back days. The first day everyone ate them all and raved about them. The next day they left 2 so I got to try one and man oh man these donuts are fantastic. I was just at the Starbucks Drive-Thru when I saw that this small donut shop was open (during the current stay at home order)! I got a bear claw and sugar twist for my mother and I. We both thought they were delicious!! The bear claw was so big I couldn't even finish it. The man, who I assume is the owner, is very nice! Walked in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly girl. Told her I wanted a dozen for work and started picking. She was very fast, efficient and spoke English well! I'm impressed. Love coming here for the ham and cheese croissant ($2.75)!!!! They warm it up for you and it is just perfect. And it's huge so it'll keep you happy and full till lunch. Also tried their sugar donuts. Delicious! Nothing crazy stand outs about it but it's a soft, sweet donut. I'm not complaining. A little Something special: They offer regular, chocolate, and strawberry milk! I've been patronizing this business since I moved around the corner almost 13yrs now and I have yet to be disappointed. The quality and taste of their donuts is always on point, the service is quick and efficient and while I didn't always appreciate their hours (because I always want donuts at 6/7pm) I do appreciate them being open in the early hours (like 2am) after nights out partying lol. Highly recommend this establishment as a great tasting donut shop with prices that are not overpriced. read more

Have not been here for a while but I LOOOOOOVE THEIR DONUTS! I wish they stayed open till at least 6 so I could get them after work! I learned of this Donut shop because the dealership where i WOULD GET SERVICED HAD SUUUUPER TASTY DONUTS IN THE LOBBY. So I had to ask where they got them from! After learning of the shop I went after work had a broken heart they were closed and came back in the morning!! YAHOOOO!!! This place has the best donuts in the whole wide WORLD!!! I literally live 2 cities over and I still pass up about 7 donut shops to come to this one. The staff are very friendly, the prices are very reasonable, the donuts are to die for, and they always stay true to the odd fashion baker's dozen rule (13) ;-) SO FREAKING AMAZING!!! I tried the Berry Bowl, which includes the following toppings: bananas, strawberries, coconut flakes, and hemp granola! Everything tasted super fresh, not too sweet and the açaí blend itself was 10/10. The indoor space is tiny but clean, with a bathroom for costumers and a few cute outdoor tables. Street parking is the only option, try Broadway or nearby neighborhood streets.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
