The salted pretzel ice coffee was definitely my favorite. We also got the banana pudding ice coffee, it was good too. I got the vanilla bean doughnut which just tasted like a regular glaze doughnut. The chocolate dough was so much better.

Sidecar has the best donuts! Always freshly made and so many different flavors. I've had the huckleberry donut and the bacon donut in the past. Both are really good. I stopped by today to get my free birthday donut. The crispy French toast donut looked interesting and ended up being a new favorite. I split it with my husband and he liked it too. If you sign up for their rewards, points are earned for purchases and other specials are sometimes offered. Friendly employees and adequate parking.

Vegan Strawberry Matcha and Cold Brewed Coffee with Coconut Milk

It's a shared parking lot with Trader Joe's so we decided to park closer to the bank side for more parking options. As you walk into Sidecar Doughnuts, we were greeted with the delicious smell of freshly made coffee and donuts. The place is clean and cozy. There were samples to try out. Decided to get the Vegan Strawberry Matcha and it's just like a cake. The delicious glaze with matcha dough compliments well with the strawberry. A plus, it's gluten free and vegan. And the staff made sure to use a separate tong to grab this donut and boxed it in a separate container from non gluten free donuts. Ordered the cold brew with coconut milk and it paired well with the donut. The staff made sure I was ok with the cold brew and donut. And checked in if there are any questions. Will be back here again to try out their next gluten free and vegan donut!

Service was not good today, but the doughnut (Crispy French Toast) was excellent. I came in with a free birthday donut reward and had wanted the Buy 2, get One Free deal this weekend. The gal got confused (Kimberly) and charged me, not giving me the birthday reward. She asked someone, possibly the manager (named Bash) for help. Without listening, he told me my birthday reward expired after 30 days without asking Kimberly what had happened. She had me redeem the birthday reward, which made it go away. I told Bash that she JUST had me redeeming 2 minutes again! Not good service. Also, confusion when paying ... she thought she gave me money back and she did not. Then, she realized. I know everyone is new at some point .. not sure this gal was new or not. In any case, she needs some more training possibly. Many doughnut selections were out... empty offerings. I did not get my first 2 choices.

I stopped here on a weekday late morning for coffee and donuts. I've loved Sidecar's Costa Mesa location for years so was surprised to be disappointed at this location. The options were already slim at 11am, but several choices were available. I chose an old-fashioned and a bourbon pecan pie. I also purchased a hot vanilla latte. There is a counter inside if you care to stand and consume your purchase but I decided to chow down in my car. The old-fashioned was dense and had a very light coating of that slightly crunchy glaze that you find thickly covering the old-fashioned donuts you get at mom & pop donut shops. It was okay but, as I ate it, I thought that, given the choice, I'd rather be having a better one from one of those old-time donut shops. The soft-cake bourbon pecan pie donut had a light icing and a center of sweet pieces of pecan that truly did taste like pecan pie. I did like that one. The vanilla latte tasted like a cup of hot water; completely flavorless and it was thrown away after a couple sips. Maybe I just chose the wrong flavors. Insert sad face emoji here.

Quality donuts. You can taste the distinctive flavor. I enjoyed the Huckleberry sample lol I came here with a friend and tried the coffee. Banana Bread Latte. That was delicious! Flavorful. I enjoyed the little walnut/sugar toppings

Bought doughnuts from here, made people sick with sulfur burps, stomach cramps, vomiting. We got 2 cinnamon, 2 blueberry, an apple fritter, and a glazed... It's tasty, not as tasty coming up, but won't do it again as it's the 2nd time I've gotten sick here and it made multiple people sick this time. Both times we did get end of day doughnuts though, around 5pm. Ambiance is lacking as you have to eat your doughnuts between parking at Trader Joe's, it's more of a grab and go place.

Their doughnuts are consistently fresh. I love their seasonal ones. The bourbon pecan one is melt in your mouth after heating it up. The apple fritter and maple bacon have always been my go to. I always make it a habit to stop by when I'm in town. There's literally nothing like Sidecar in other parts of country. Check them out if you can.

Sidecar is my all time favorite donut place. I've been going to side car since the beginning of time. I remember when they were doing free samples out of their truck before their brick and mortar place opened. Service is always great, taste is always delicious! There hasn't been a donut I've had from sidecar that I've hated. My daughter loves the maple bacon and huckleberry. I will always love cinnamon crumb and maybe butter and salt is a close second. If you haven't been to sidecar give them a try. You won't regret it.

Sidecar Doughnuts are the absolute best! "The World's Freshest Doughnuts!" This location in the Rolling Hills Plaza. It's in the next building over from Trader Joe's. I love the cute little Sidecar displayed out near the patio under the pink glazed doughnut mural! My all time favorite doughnut is Huckleberry. It is a special doughnut despite being on their daily menu. I usually get that one and try their special seasonal doughnuts. I got their Honey Butter Jalapeno Corncake and Peach Cobbler Malasada. Malasadas are available only on Mondays. They had a Dubai Chocolate Malasada that was pretty good, just a bit on the rich side. I'm usually not a fan of Old Fashion Doughnuts, but Sidecar makes a very good one! There's a lot of love, attention to detail, and fresh ingredients that go into these doughnuts! I've been to 3 different locations and have received the same quality and consistent doughnuts! My husband does not generally consume doughnuts, but he will eat these! I think he looks forward to the seasonal doughnuts as much as I do! We don't usually choose Vegan anything, but Sidecar has made some good ones like the Vegan Smoked Chocolate Pretzel Doughnut that was really exceptional! My favorite thing to see when I come here is the replenishing of empty doughnut spots with freshly made doughnuts! The Peach Cobbler Malasada I got had just been placed on the tray! Can't get much fresher than that!! Service is friendly and efficient. The staff makes a concerted effort to ensure you are able to get the doughnut(s) you want. Be sure you join their Loyalty Program! Sidecar will send Promotions through the App!! I think you get a free doughnut for signing up! I have been here too many times and plan on returning again! Can't wait to see what new flavors they come up with next!

Visiting family in the area and decided to pick up some donuts. This is our second time visiting this location and it is by far my favorite location. The staff is so friendly and incredibly nice!!! Even though we are located in OC and visit the OC location, I prefer the Torrance location!! The staff always greets you with a smile and chats with you. Donuts are the same but it's nice when you walk into a business and the staff actually makes you feel seen and appreciated!! That's something that has never happened at the OC location.

Genuinely enjoy having a treat here once in a while. Luckily they're pricey so it doesn't become a habit, but well worth a splurge once in a while. I love the freshness of the cake donuts here. I've had huckleberry, susie's blueberry pancake, gluten free chocolate and today I tried the white chocolate banana bread. I have not tried a yeast type donut here yet. They all look delicious and smell fresh at any time of the day not just morning. I'd complain about the price but they're well crafted donuts and I think they deserve it. The location is ok it's in a busy center near Trader Joe's and other shops with high traffic and difficult time trying to find parking not only that, the parking spaces are slim. When first opening the place was very busy, but it remained clean and fresh, after our visit today it seemed like they were a little behind on maintaining cleanliness but I get it it's so busy and few workers. I like the look of the place hip modern little coffee shop vibes and friendly service! Definitely recommend trying out if in the area.

During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

Extremely disappointing considering how much I love this item.
