Plz don't come if you don't want to ruin your day!…read more I've been to this shoe repair store three times, and unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing due to the rude and unprofessional attitude of the staff member there. The boss was fine, but the staff was truly rude. Dealing with such a thing on Saturday literally ruined my weekend. Therefore, I wish to share the whole story with you guys here. On my third visit, I clearly told the staff that I didn't want to spend too much on an outsole replacement, since this particular pair of shoes only cost $95. I even said that if the cost was too high, I would prefer to buy a new pair. The staff assured me the job would be $35, which I agreed to. However, when I returned to pick up the shoes, I was suddenly told the price was $85. I felt helpless since there was no invoice given, and the service has already been done. When I questioned the change, the staff became rude and dismissive, showing a very negative attitude rather than calmly explaining the misunderstanding. It turns out the $35 quote was only for the heel--not the full sole replacement--which was never made clear to me. Thankfully, the boss stepped in and agreed to a $50 charge, which I accepted. But the damage was already done in terms of the experience. After the boss agreed on $50, the staff becomes even more rude to me. This is the reason why I would like to share this experience with everybody else to help your guys avoid such experience. What made this worse is that I had already been tolerant in the past. For example, during a previous service, the staff got black oil/dirt on my shoes which was a pair of brand new Saint Laurent sandals with retail price $770 dollars before tax, but I chose not to complain and continued to support the business. I expected a little more care and respect in return. Please refer to the attached pic for more details. After this last visit, I've lost trust in this store. I don't recommend going to a place where simple communication turns into conflict and customers are treated with such negativity. My favorite suede Coach loafers and no name leather boots are beauties once again!…read more They have both been to the cobbler more than once over the past 5 or 6 years, and they both get absolutely worn to death in the spring & fall. Ryan took two shoes on their last leg and gave me back what could be new out of the box shoes. The stains in the suede (bright green from I don't know what) are almost entirely gone, the holes (yes, actual holes) in the boots leather are patched and smoothed out, the leather is glossy, shiny and new and both of their soles are reinforced and looking great. We also brought in 3 pairs of birks or other suede shoes and had them cleaned to perfection. This is my second time using his services and I couldn't be happier. From cleanings to putting new heels on, my shoes never look better. And communication? 5 stars just for that. It's a super easy process: Drop off your shoes and leave contact info. Ryan will text you with photos, pricing, what can and can't be done before he gets started so you have full approval and knowledge. He'll let you know when they are ready and where to Zelle or pay with CC. And then you go and pick up! Easy. Good for the environment because we are not just throwing away something after a season of use, good for our wallets (5 pairs was around $200) and just good work. When my daughter was a teenager, she kept "borrowing" them for a few months only to return them shredded!! I immediately took them to my boot doctor (Frank Shoe repair) and a week later picked up what appeared to be a new pair of boots. My latest visit was one I was not sure Frank Shoe repair could handle. Both the zippers were broken and the heals were worn down to the bone. I thought perhaps I had lost them. But they were saved once more! The leather is beautifully worn, they fit like a glove, the zippers are new. This time, I'm hiding them from my daughter ;)

I drop off so that I can get a receipt; I have to proactively ask for a receipt as the staff worker barely speaks/engages with you; They dropped off my dry cleaning without the bag, when I called they said they would drop it off the next day...no one ever dropped it off. Three days before my graduation, I brought in a brand-new white Donna Karan dress that I had purchased only two days earlier. The dress had never been worn. The only issue was that it had gotten wet during delivery and developed a few yellow water stains. Before leaving the dress, I specifically asked whether the stains could be removed. I explained that the dress was for my graduation and that I needed it back quickly. I was clearly told that the stains could be treated and that the dress could be properly cleaned and pressed. Based on that assurance, I trusted them with an important garment for one of the most special days of my life and paid for expedited service. While the dress was returned on time, the actual service was a complete failure. The stains were still there. In fact, the dress looked just as bad, if not worse, than when I brought it in. When I got ready for my graduation and took a closer look, I realized the dress was not wearable. At that point, it was too late to find another solution. What makes this even more frustrating is that this review is not about the $22 charge. It is about trust. If the stains could not be removed, I should have been told that from the beginning. Instead, they accepted the dress, assured me the work could be done, charged me for the service, and returned it without fixing the problem. To make matters worse, they also removed the original Donna Karan tag from the dress and did not reattach it or return it to me. This was a brand-new designer dress, and there was absolutely no reason for the tag to be removed without my permission. The final disappointment came when I called to express my concerns. The person who answered the phone identified herself as the manager and was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in taking responsibility for what happened. There was no apology, no attempt to understand the situation, and no effort to make things right. This business did not simply fail to clean a dress. They ruined an important moment that I can never get back. A graduation only happens once, and because of their poor workmanship, lack of transparency, and terrible customer service, I was left stressed and disappointed right before a milestone event in my life. Please read the reviews carefully before trusting this business with any important garment, especially a new or special-occasion item. When I politely asked the older man working there what happened to my boots pointing out the green/yellow color now on the boots and asking why was the back ripped as I didn't have these rips before when I dropped them off. He quickly became very nasty. He said he only put lifts and doesn't know what I'm talking about. An older woman appearing to be his wife walks in and she too becomes very nasty telling me to not come back and to leave. Are you seriously treating a customer like this?! I asked a question nicely which is my right especially in light of the damage. This man and woman immediately became nasty and rude. I'm a paying customer whose boots were damaged by their shop yet they are angry! The lack of care and the way she told me to leave I saw pure evil in both of them. Why become so nasty and defensive unless you're guilty of something. I remained composed and polite despite the way they spoke to me! I know and they know they damaged my boots. My boots were not looking like this when I dropped them off less than 24 hours before I picked them up, to now see excessive wrinkles in the leather, green/yellow polish smeared on the boots and rips in the exact same spots on the back of each boot which points to some type of machine ripping off the leather. They didn't once try and rectify the situation or even admit what they did or apologize. Only guilty people become defensive when asked a question. I know, they know, and God knows what they did. I unfortunately had to throw my favorite boots away because of the damage they did to the boots, and to think I paid money to them, only to get boots back looking like this! If you go there I recommend taking pictures and video before you give them any of your shoes! I wish I had taken photos/video of my boots before because then I could take them to court and report them to the local news for what they did!
