Dr. Zand's office wait is EXTREMELY LONG! I have been in his office for a total of 1.5-2 hours everytime I go! It is so crazy! And the girls in the back have been so rude to me! Even on the phone they have been very short and unreliable. I once also witnessed Dr. Zand himself pull an elderly woman by the arm and demanded she leave his office immediately. On top of her having wait just as long, if not longer than I did, he still rudely kicked her out of his office. It was so unprofessional on every level possible!! The nurses who have taken me back before, tallish hispanic girl with glasses, as well as a shorter light skin hispanic with glasses have been so unefficient as well as rude! And to top it off, they don't know medical terms and take SO LONG! read more

I haven't actually seen my doctor yet, I get to see him in a couple weeks, I'm actually excited for the first time ever to get a doctor. New city new insurance.. I have problems trusting care physicians. I called today to make an appointment I'm a new patient and just from speaking to the staff on the phone they were so helpful I wouldn't of known what to do if they had not guided me. So if the appointment is as wonderful as the first impression. This will be my first actual family doctor. I won't be more scared to go to the doctor then end up with something life threatening. Dr. Zand has been my primary physician for close to eight years I am writing this review now because I finally got on yelp and realized I needed to tell everyone about doctor Zand . I am a 68-year-old paraplegic that has been confined to a wheelchair for over 51 years. Over those years I have had only one doctor that has treated all my needs as well as Dr. Zand. I am not with him because he passed away years ago. Dr. Gentle was not a general practitioner he was a specialist and took me on as a patient because he felt it would help him and me and we became very close friends I miss him very much. I never thought anyone would replace Dr. Gentel however I was lucky to find Dr. Zand who is a great physician as well as a person that I feel comfortable calling a friend. I feel very lucky that Dr.'s Zand is my physician and highly recommend him to anyone who needs a primary physician that can take care of all their needs. I saw this Dr over a year ago and was shocked to see all these positive reviews. He is a work of art and very full of himself. He saw me with my adult daughter a week later didn't recognize me gave the same speech almost word for word which includes a rehearsed verbiage of seeing you nakie. Way not cool! While I get it theres a more professional way to say it. Then he proceeded to say DO NOT go to the ER without calling me first. Well excuse me I have been a RN for 30 years if I need to go I do not need your permission. i have been seeing Dr. Zand for about a year now and have to say he is not only caring but takes the time to her what you say and works to find the best for you. Recently I went in feeling bad and when the doctor came in the room then said I needed to be seen in the hospital and the paramedics came and took me to the hospital. Later I learned I had a bad case of the flu. A few days later I returned to the doctor who said to return the the ER where I was admitted and treated. I feel if this had not been taken care of by Doctor Zand I may not be writing this as I was in a bad way in isolation. I recomend Dr. Zand to anyone who needs a caring doctor. read more

Always late for appointments has always left me waiting for at least an hour. I had 2 Chest X-rays and 1 CT Scan. It tool his office 7 days to call me with partial results. I had started calling 4 days after the x-rays and CT Scan. Dr. Zand never called me back for the CT Scan results. One of the other Drs. in the office finally called with very little information. He boasts he has 2500 patients. My wife and I are no longer among that total. Good Luck if you choose this guy. read more

I saw a doctor in a walk in clinic on a Sunday. This doctor did some blood test on me and told me I needed to see my regular doctor, Dr Zand, as soon as possible. She was concerned it was a malignancy. A couple of days later, I saw Dr Zand who told me that that doctor didn't know what she was talking about and that she was just a general doctor. He told me to ignore her and that the rash I had will go away. For the following three months I kept going back and tried to explained to him that I felt extremely tired and with pain in my groin area. He said I probably pulled a muscle and to go home and relax. I told him I was feeling depressed and he told me that we'll talk about it on my next visit which never happened. Every time I was there, he seemed too busy and just rush without really listening to me. I ended up in the emergency room and later on I was diagnosed with lymphoma. The one star is because I had to put a rating. He does not even deserve one star. read more

Stopped going to Dr Zand because the wait times became ridiculous! First I'd wait 45-60 minutes in the exam room not the waiting room. The last couple times I waited over an hour and a half to two hours plus in the exam room freezing my butt off in the paper robe and that was with one being a well check scheduled one year in advance! Sat there wondering if they forgot about me because no one came in to tell me anything. Then he comes in and spends less then 5 minutes with me! Definitely becoming a patient mill! Nice guy but too rushed and over booked! He helped me after my father passed away but the med he put me on ended up giving me too many side effects so I got off the stuff! I never had high blood pressure until I was put on this med plus it made me a walking zombie! Going back to natural remedies, acupuncture, chiro, much safer then this pharmaceutical crap! Plus seeing the other review about his credentials worries me a bit??? My neck surgeon/friend referred me to him so I thought he would be good. He is an amazing Dr. He saw me right on time. Great bedside manner and He was listening to my issues carefully and had a nurse with him to document everything just as we were meeting. I like his staff too.. right on.. wasn't surprised with a bill later. He was able to see me quick and give me my blood work papers that my obgyn failed to provide after a month of waiting.
