DNA Motor Lab is positively a place you can count on. They have saved my behind a few times. On the recent July heatwave, my bike decided to die in the middle of a busy uphill road. I called around for tow service and was given an ETA of 2 hrs. on average. One call to DNA got me a tow in about 15 minutes with the shop owner (Marcos) on the driver's seat. I was even dropped-off at my place for free. That is CUSTOMER SERVICE, no other description to define the moment. These guys know their stuff. They have serviced my bikes from simple oil and filter changes, electrical gremlins, parts painting, and how can I forget tow service (my second one so far, LOL). If you live close to Hayward or anywhere in the Bay Area, come to this place and discover a reliable moto shop with integrity. Customizing your ride is a big part of the cruiser lifestyle and I have been committed to doing as much I could on my own (following Youtube instructional videos). Some jobs are just too big to roll the dice on your own. I wanted to install custom mini-ape hanger handle bars. I knew at the very least these would involve ergonomics and bike performance. There was no way I was going to attempt this on my own. I left 1Motiv's owner Lee a detailed voicemail. A day later he contacted me from a motorcycle racing event back east. We scheduled his consultation visit and on the day Lee showed up with his white van and his own folding work tent. His van was also packed with almost any tool he needed. Lee's consultation appointment was a lot of fun and in the long run he saved me a lot of money and regret. After test fitting the 10" mini-ape hangers I bought he made me realize that I actually wanted taller bars. I could've lived with the bars I had but I would always know that I would have settled for less. In addition I realized I would need a longer clutch cable. Fast forward a month or so and I've got the custom clutch cable and exchanged the handle bars. Lee hand-cut and spliced every single wire in my bike's electric harness and then took those wires and pulled them through the handle-bars. The wires were totally protected, my controls and buttons all work properly, and I am constantly getting compliments on how clean the job was done. A lot of people assume the dealership did it. Then Lee saw that I had new minimalist LED front turn signals which I would've installed myself (as I had done the rear signals) but he insisted on upgrading those, and installing my new shifter/brake pegs, and then he even readjusted my headlight and it was so much better than how the dealer had set it up. I had also ordered custom seats from Corbin, and something was off with the seat's lock when the seat was delivered to me. A component broke and when I reached out to Corbin multiple times they wouldn't help me. Lee came back another day and did such an amazing repair job that it's almost impossible to tell something was wrong. He fixed the locking mechanism, and I now have the perfect saddle. We have plans to do some other mods to my bike this year. I'm really looking forward to our next session. Lee will not only inspect and warn you about stuff to look out for, he will also tell you exactly what he's doing, how any part of the motorcycle is supposed to work, and how to do maintenance and upgrades yourself. The bottom line is Lee loves motorcycles and he will treat your bike as if it was his own.

It was definitely frustrating, but Abraham took my concerns seriously from the beginning. He personally reached out, apologized, offered to restring my racquet free of charge, and even provided a gift card for the inconvenience. What impressed me the most was that he didn't just fix my racquet--he worked to improve the process. When I picked it up today, I noticed they now attach a label showing the string type, tension, date, and stringer. That tells me they're focused on preventing mistakes in the future, not just fixing one complaint. Every business can make mistakes, but not every manager takes ownership the way Abraham did. His professionalism, communication, and commitment to improving the customer experience earned my trust back. Thank you, Abraham, and the Sports Basement team. I'll definitely be back for future stringing and would recommend them to other tennis players.

As well as better quality since it's like a private owned business and not a public one. The service overall was good at this place as the employees were helpful with guiding us to find stuff we were looking for. As well as helping my brother find a new bike for him to ride after his old one fell apart. When it comes to value that is where the problems set in as to why I am giving this place a 4/5. Lot of the stuff in this store is expensive and I do mean EXPENSIVE. It could be close to like 120 dollars for a pair of shoes which seems to be way more than most other retailers. And most of the other equipment could range up to 200-300 dollars as well which can make it frustrating to figure out what to spend your money on depending on the need. At least the store has plenty of equipment to choose from, as well as a range for you test stuff out and other useful features for equipment you want to rent. But I would only go here as a last resort if you can't go to a Dick's or find good pricing.
