1Motiv's services are not cheap BUT worth every penny and then some! I'm a relatively new rider that bought a brand new 2021 Indian Scout. Customizing your ride is a big part of the cruiser lifestyle and I have been committed to doing as much I could on my own (following Youtube instructional videos). Some jobs are just too big to roll the dice on your own. I wanted to install custom mini-ape hanger handle bars. I knew at the very least these would involve ergonomics and bike performance. There was no way I was going to attempt this on my own. I left 1Motiv's owner Lee a detailed voicemail. A day later he contacted me from a motorcycle racing event back east. We scheduled his consultation visit and on the day Lee showed up with his white van and his own folding work tent. His van was also packed with almost any tool he needed. Lee's consultation appointment was a lot of fun and in the long run he saved me a lot of money and regret. After test fitting the 10" mini-ape hangers I bought he made me realize that I actually wanted taller bars. I could've lived with the bars I had but I would always know that I would have settled for less. In addition I realized I would need a longer clutch cable. Fast forward a month or so and I've got the custom clutch cable and exchanged the handle bars. Lee hand-cut and spliced every single wire in my bike's electric harness and then took those wires and pulled them through the handle-bars. The wires were totally protected, my controls and buttons all work properly, and I am constantly getting compliments on how clean the job was done. A lot of people assume the dealership did it. Then Lee saw that I had new minimalist LED front turn signals which I would've installed myself (as I had done the rear signals) but he insisted on upgrading those, and installing my new shifter/brake pegs, and then he even readjusted my headlight and it was so much better than how the dealer had set it up. I had also ordered custom seats from Corbin, and something was off with the seat's lock when the seat was delivered to me. A component broke and when I reached out to Corbin multiple times they wouldn't help me. Lee came back another day and did such an amazing repair job that it's almost impossible to tell something was wrong. He fixed the locking mechanism, and I now have the perfect saddle. We have plans to do some other mods to my bike this year. I'm really looking forward to our next session. Lee will not only inspect and warn you about stuff to look out for, he will also tell you exactly what he's doing, how any part of the motorcycle is supposed to work, and how to do maintenance and upgrades yourself. The bottom line is Lee loves motorcycles and he will treat your bike as if it was his own. read more

Absolutely professional and amazing experience from start to finish. I was in a tough spot with a recently crashed motorcycle, and working overtime shifts every day of the week. I needed the paint/damage on my motorcycle repaired (pics attached), but I couldn't even make it to a shop during business hours and most of them wouldn't quote me over the phone. On a whim, I found 1Motiv and Lee Buzon through Yelp, and I'm never using another service again. Picked up immediately, came to MY house on the SAME day, at 8pm at night. I've had experience with craigslist "mechanics" and "painters", and Lee is anything but that. He not only fixed all the scratches and a nasty dent that chipped off an inch of my tail fairing, but he did it so well I can't tell it ever happened. The paint matched perfectly, the lines on the motorcycle are the same (this wasn't a simple buff job, he must have had to fill in the fairing with putty), and it was all for a reasonable price. You're basically getting a fully qualified mechanic and painter, on call at your front door with 1Motiv. It's a bonus that Lee operates like a complete professional and even gave me some useful tips and advice for my bike and what to watch out for. I have no doubt that Lee's wrenching skills are as good as his painting, do yourself a favor and the next time you need a mechanic or a paint job, don't waste time on craigslist or hauling your motorcycle off to a bunch of shops in the Bay -- just call 1Motiv and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Lee was available without an appointment and traveled more than 80 miles to service my Land Rover. His services are professional and excellent. He was prompt and prepared and was able to address the issues that were diagnosed and additional repairs that were not caught by the diagnostic. The price was a little steep at $350 for a max 1 hour diagnostic service, but I have no regrets for calling up Lee to take a look at my Honda CBR. You pay a premium for the convenience of Lee coming to you and bringing his tools. He is also an awesome guy, someone that I'd get a drink with! He is very professional when it comes to the service, diagnosing quickly, and also showing you what he's doing, why a part needs repair or replacement, and shows you how to do get the job down yourself. With the extra time, he did a basic check-up on other parts to ensure nothing else needs repair. Lee also provided me a referral for when he is out of town for a similar service. All in all, if you have an issue where you can't get your bike to a service shop and you don't mind paying a premium, Lee is a must call! read more

He was responsive and sympathetic (in the beginning) to my very bad previous moto mechanic issues. Did a good job inspecting and cleaning the carburetor. Although I would have appreciated better communication around cost (he quoted a price that I paid, then ordered more parts I didn't know the bike needed and was then responsible for paying). I thought that was going to be it for the bike, but then he went on to mention a LOT more issues on the bike (my previous mechanic's fault). So we agreed he'd make a pricing list so I could see how much everything was going to cost. I told him I was looking to sell the bike ASAP. He assured me the parts list would be done within a few days. That was a MONTH ago and apart from a couple texts mentioning a some issues he was having, I see no attempt to actually fix my bike. Our bike was having some trouble starting and both my roommate and I couldn't figure out how to fix her up. Called Lee to do an on site repair and within minutes he pinpointed the exact problem and told us how to fix it. The value add from Lee was all the recommendations of other servicing to keep her running well. He brought the bike back and I don't think I've ever had a smoother ride on this bike. What a champ! From someone that has called other bay area on site mechanics before, stop. You REALLY need to call someone that is licensed and knowledgeable (like Lee) because otherwise problems will keep compounding on the bike. Incredible service. Lee responded to my email and was able to get to me within less than an hour of calling me (timing happened to be right). He was extremely affable, understanding, and very willing to give tips for future stability and ease of use for my [fairly old] motorcycle. Although the cost is somewhat higher than a shop, the fact that he comes to your location fully armed with everything he needs is very convenient and cuts out the towing cost of sending the bike to a mechanic if it won't run. Someone trying to hotwire and steal the bike had cut the wrong wires and the motorcycle would die as soon as I put it in first gear. My motorcycle was parked in a San Francisco garage, but Lee patiently diagnosed the issue and then soldered the cut wires patiently. Just got in to motorcycles within the past year when I bought my first bike. I have a Vulcan 500 and didn't ride i for the last two months. Went to start it up last week and after about ten minutes I finally got it started but it was idling terrible. I was going to try to ride it around a little but the brakes were seized up. Luckily, I found out about 1 Motiv on the internet and saw that they would drive to me. Pretty awesome when you can't even get your motorcycle towed. I sent them an email and within an hour I was called by Lee and he scheduled an appointment with me. When the appointment came they did a diagnosis and found a couple of things that were broken/need to be fixed. They showed me everything and made me feel very comfortable with what was going on. I asked if I could stay and watch and they said sure and showed me how to change the oil and the brake fluid. Lee and Derrick were very professional and helpful and made sure everything was clean and running fine before they were finished. No need to worry about sleazy repair places that charge you for work they never did or use used parts while charging you for new ones. I have a new bike and wanted some adjustments done before taking it out the first time. Lee came over right away. He's super sweet and did a great job on my BMW G 310 R. It's so difficult and time-consuming to schedule an appointment with a shop, wait for an appointment, drop the bike off, and pick the bike up. Horrible process. After a really crappy day getting a flat on 280 with the flu I finally made it back home about 8pm. I needed the tire fixed to make a DMV registration the next day. If I could give these guys 6 stars I would. Here are all the things that made 1 Motiv so great - Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and diligent. I have two bikes that haven't been used in a couple years and had all sorts of problems as a result. He dug in to all the areas, explaining why the problems existed and what my options were. He has an integrity that seems to come not only from his character but from someone who is trying to build a business. - There was more that needed to be done than Lee first quoted me. He passed through the cost of the extra parts but did all of the extra labor for free. He also had to come back several times because of parts that needed to be ordered and finding additional problems that couldn't be identified before the bike was running. Again, he didn't charge me more for all of his additional time. - Finally, there is an undeniable convenience of having someone come to my house.
