Yes, low fuel light came on, thought we had a couple of gallons left to make gas station 10 miles away, note to self nope it was empty at that point car stopped. Contacted our insurance company & they dispatched Alexander Towing. Within an hour we were back on the road. My wife and I had a very good experience recently with Alexander Ford in Yuma. Our 2025 RV van (2024 Ford Transit chassis) needed its first oil change when the note about it popped up on the dash on our way from San Diego to Yuma. We visited the Service Department and got scheduled for on- site service where we were staying in Yuma the next day! Great, thorough service and at very good price to boot. Courteous service advisors at the dealership and mechanics at site of service. Since we visit Yuma and AZ a lot, Alexander Ford will be our service department as long as we have our class B RV (van), which is exactly the same as any other high-end Ford Transit chasiss. 5 Stars for the customer Service! With the warranty I had purchased a while ago with my new vehicle it included keys when they needed repair or replacement. And I got the usual run-around, passing-the-buck song-and -dance one would expect given the situation. The Service Center Representative seemed like a master at this when dealing with me on this matter in the past and I had as a result almost lost my faith with Alexander Ford. After much arm twisting, non-returned phone calls and in store visits I'd finally had gotten a replacement key. This time however that Service Center Representative had moved on and to make a long story short the new manager there had me taken cared of in half the time as previously stated. It's amazing what good customer service and follow-ups will do for your customers and business alike! read more

I should have stayed why they worked on my truck. It sounded like a good idea to be driven home and have my truck delivered to my residence after the work was done. Nope. After having my truck for over 8 hours with absolutely no contact from my service advisor- Francisco, I called and found he had left for the day. After 7 unsuccessful calls to be put through to the service department, someone answered the phone. I asked if there was any way my truck would be returned to me. I was put on hold while they scrambled to see if there was a driver. I did get my truck back that evening. At five a.m. the next morning I received a text saying they were going to deliver my truck at 7 am. What kind of work did they do on my truck in 8 hours? They replaced the starting battery after I explained to them the battery had already been replaced twice in the last 12 months. The new battery is an AGM battery, but will only delay the parasitic draw on the battery a little longer. Myself and others are still waiting for Ford to fix this problem. read more

On my way to Phoenix, last week, we experienced a loud thumping sound that appeared to come from the passenger side. So, we stopped the car off the 8 and proceeded to look under the chassis, at the tires, etc. Didn't see anything. No warning lights came on. We slowed down to avoid the noise and made it to Alexander's. One employee, Mr. Barry Storch helped us. His manager checked the car out, as service techs had already left for the day. They found that a molding on the roof had come loose, causing the noise. Much earlier in the day, we had a bird hit the front of the car on the driver's side and hadn't thought about it, as we had driven for another hour before anything happened. We needed to make it to Phoenix for a family visit that afternoon. Mr. Storch came up with a great solution and found some masking tape to hold the molding in place. It worked. All this time they spent, and no charge to us. We are most appreciative of their assistance when we needed it and considered their actions as going above and beyond expectations. I took my Ford 2018 F 150 in for a check engine light Jan 25 2024. It had 49,000 miles then. It was fuel related so they had to drop the fuel tank and install new sensors and several other parts. It was going to take several days. I was stranded and they would not give me a loaner vehicle. I got the truck back about a week later. The bill was $1,212.94 it took all of my FORD REWARD points (98,000) plus $753.54 for the bill. The same day I went to fill up the gas tank but, the gas nozzle kept kicking out at only 1/2 tank. I took it back and they said I was over filling the tank. The service advisor looked at the fuel gage, (1/2) okay then said they would have to look at it again. This time after almost begging the service manager finally gave me a loaner. Several days later it was not fixed and we had to make an emergency trip back home, so I had them put it back together, turned in the loaner, but It took them 40 minutes before they could find my keys. When I got back to our winter spot I was checking the washer fluid for the trip home and saw they had left off the engine cover off, so I had to return to have them find it and put it on. After the trip home a week later I took the truck back to them. I was told OH, now it needs some other new parts, BUT we won't charge for labor just the parts. Needless to say I am upset. They have just been throwing parts at the problem and hoping something would work. This fuel issue is something Ford knows about but will not address. There are lots of UTUBE videos covering this issue. So it's a known problem. Alexander Ford gave me the Ford Hot Line phone number BUT IT WAS THE CREDIT LINE not the service number. I finally got the right number. The Ford Hot Line is 1 800 392-3673. Also the guys at the main desk are not friendly and act like you are bothering them if you ask anything. After over a month and another $469.60 the truck is still not right. The check engine light is back on and it takes about 15-20 minutes to fill up the fuel tank. The first time I took it in I got a Please review our service email from them. I generally don't do those. I didn't know I was going back in again and after the last time they never sent me a review request. That's odd ? If you are reading this I would think long and hard before going to Alexander Ford. I gave them one star because I don't know how to give them nothing. read more

My 2011 Lincoln MKX overheated while driving in Yuma on Mon, Feb, 27. I called a tow truck and had it brought to Bill Alexander Ford where I had had numerous small jobs done over the past 10 years, mostly oil changes and had satisfactory results. I left the vehicle there and the next morning talked to Jose Zavala the service advisor who told me they had determined that the thermostat and the cooling fan had failed and had to be replaced, they had the parts and the vehicle would be ready at about 5:00 PM that day (Tues.) I asked if they could do an oil change as well and he said they would. Later that afternoon I arrived and paid the bill of $1246.05 and was assured the vehicle was extensivlely tested and 100% ready to go. I left the dealership and drove east as far as Ave. 4E, a distance of about 3 miles, when the overheat light and buzzer came on exactly as they had the day before. I called Jose and told him what had happened and he said he would send out their tow truck to bring the vehicle back to the shop. The next morning he phoned to tell me that due to the additional pressure from installing the new thermostat it had caused the water pump to fail, which is a complete crock of B.S. I was trained and worked as an auto mechanic many years ago, and anyone with the most basic knowledge knows that a properly working thermostat is not going to increase pressure in the cooling system. This is a tactic taken straight from the shady auto repair handbook, to try and cover up mistakes by lying. However, they replaced the water pump and the vehicle would be ready Fri. morning. When I arrived to pick it up I was confronted with another bill this time for $1881.94, which included 6 more quarts of oil and a duplicate of the charge for anti-freeze from the first bill and a $131.43 charge for the tow truck to bring the vehicle back to the shop after their first repair failed after 3 miles. To top all that off when I got home with the vehicle and checked the oil it was barely on the add oil mark, so I had to buy a quart and top it up. As well as that there is a small hose that connects to the coolant recovery tank and the hose clamp had broken and rather than replacing it they just left it to twirl around loose. Since that first repair was useless in solving the problem I figured I should only have been charged about half the amount since I did get a new cooling fan and thermostat out of it which replaced the originals which were 12 years old and would likely have been troublesome down the road. The second repair did fix the problem, so far anyway, so I was all right with it except for the double charges and the tow truck charge. I determined that I had overpaid by $750.00. After two weeks of trying to contact someone to discuss this, I finally had a call yesterday from the service manager. After relating my concerns and telling him I believed I had overpaid by $750.00 out of the more than $3100.00 they had charged me all he could say was we don't do business that way. Well I got a good look at how they do business by mis diagnosis, doing unnecessary work and lying in an attempt to cover their mistakes, double charging, shoddy workmanship etc. The auto repair industry in general has a very bad reputation for these kind of tactics, and these clowns at Bill Alexander Ford are doing a great job of keeping that bad reputation in tact. I was traveling the US and spending a couple of days in Yuma. My Ford F-150 needed an oil change and they got me in quickly the next day after I called late in the afternoon. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The service specialist I made the appointment through showed me the condition of my filters and asked before doing anything beyond the oil change and tire rotation I scheduled. When paying they deducted from the total a coupon special that I didn't even know was available. The total bill was very reasonable and what I would pay at my home Ford service provider. I would definitely return for service my next trip through. read more

Waited two and a half hours for an oil change. Looked out to see the truck was finished so asked the cashier if we could pay. She didn't have the paperwork so we went back outside to inquire. The gentleman we spoke to was incredibly condescending and said we should know who we had dealt with. took my 2019 F -350 , w/23215 miles to alexander's on 4/20 , appt for 12:00 noon for "the Works". oil change service etc. it has 23,215 miles on it. Gave Ricardo , the service rep the keys at 11:58am.3 THREE HOURS LATER, the oil change is finished and they bring the truck out. I pay and do a thorough walk around, ( I always do a another time, they rotated the tires, and failed to put one of the plastic hub covers back on) I saw this when I got home, called alexander, they said how do we know it didn't fall off on the way home, so its MY FAULT. Cost me 87$ to replace it after alexanders mistake. SO I ALWAYS do a thourough check) After I got in the truck and started it, the check engine light was on. I had Ricardo check this, first, it was how do we know it wasn't on when you brought it in. IT WASN"T. then he took the truck back in. to be checked. the whole time its assumed it MY FAULT the engine light was on. I asked for a supervisor, RICK, who said they have no idea when the light came on, so its my fault cause they have no was to know when. They wanted to do a diagnostic to see when the light came on. I was told I would also pay for this!!!? NO WAY .Then I was told it was the fuel pump!!!!(in the 3 hours while they did a simple oil change,Ricardo did bring me an estimate for tires, , for $1375.00( I am getting my tires replaced, already had an appointment,not at ford. . ( My truck has tires ford puts on new vehicles, they were shot after 23000 miles, Think I'll pass on the low quality tires ford sells. I feel if I had bought the `1400$ tires, my fuel pump wouldn't have gone out.)Iwas angry and complaining, had a meeting with evertt dawson, Rick, and ricardo, where in their attempts to pin the check engine light on me, they learned, thru their own people, the engine light came on at 1:50 PM!!!!, while it was back in the shop. I said to everett I think I'm being screwd. He replied if you think you re being screwed maybe I will screw you. I think I was and yes I think he was going to. He did offer to refund the oil chage money, no idea why. My only complaint was that it took 3 hours, but read the alexander fine print, the appt time is when droppoff is, not when the work will be started. I demanded the light be turned off, and return my truck, which, after everett, failing at controlling the meeting to his benefit, told me maybe this is just the wrong place for you!!!!!bought 2 trucks from alexander, and he is right. Info oline says the fuel pump should last 100000 miles, , but I was told my driving habits would make it go out !!!! I got my truck and left. So this is whats going to happen. solution #1, everett and his people were correct, my fuel pump is bad, needed to be fixed, and I will end up stranded along the road some place, and everett, Rick and Ricardo can cheer and have the last laugh, since there is no other ford deal around., Ill drop the tank and fix it my self. Solution #2, my truck has 23000 miles, if I drive it to 50000 miles, I will be back to re start the this complaint with ford, about their employees . Ol everett should realize I will act the same if he had tried to rob me in a parking lot as I will being robbed at a service desk.Theft is theft. Society just says yeah,thats how dealers make their money wink wink. wrong! to me its the same thing. Not sure what a fuel pump costs, but I bet its about the same price as the tires they tried to sell me. Went there a few years back to get a fuel pump replaced. They called me when it was done and wanted to charge me $1400. I said no, that I wasn't going to pay that. The guy then asks me what I'm willing to pay. I told him that I was willing to pay half. Read this again. I still overpaid but the important thing to remember is the shady pricing of this place. I had the worst experience ever with Alexander Ford Service department, they are really giving Ford a bad name. I had an appointment scheduled for Thursday @ 09:00 AM to bring my SUV in for some repairs. I met with Francisco the Service Advisor and gave him all of the background on what was going on with the car as well has the detail regarding what I had done recently. I expected a call back within a few hours with their diagnosis and estimate, but never heard back from him. So I tried to call him at 12:30 assuming 3.5 hours was sufficient for a diagnosis, but he told me that they have not had time to even look at my car, he said he would call me in about an hour. Never received a call, so I called him back at 04:00 PM, they still had no diagnosis. So I called back the next morning at 10:00 AM, so have not had time to look at the car. So I called them back on Monday morning, no answer left a voicemail, then I finally got a hold of him around 12:00 PM. They had a diagnosis to redo what I had told him I had done about 1 month previously, but they needed to order parts which would take 5 to 10 days. I told him No Thank You, and that I would come pick up my car. They charged me $161.00 for NOTHING! I voiced my concerns with the Service Manager, Mr. Munoz and he had the "I don't really care about your concerns" attitude. I would not recommend even my worst enemy to go to Alexander Ford Yuma, they do not care about Customers, they only care about making a buck. read more

LOCATION: Located on the south side of 32nd St with a large Ford sign. You should have no problem locating the Service Center as it is labeled and located on the east side (left side of building as you face it from 32nd St) of the Ford Dealership establishment. ATMOSPHERE AND DESCRIPTION OF DEALERSHIP: The service center seems quite organized and was able to take a look at my Ford pickup on very short notice (called on a Monday afternoon and received an appointment for the next morning). They even allowed me to drop off my vehicle at 6:00 a.m. (before they opened) since I had to go to work on Tuesday. I was happy with their flexibility. I met that service center staff that afternoon (after work) and liked their 4-5 desk setup inside the building right next to the vehicle pickup/drop off area. The staff was friendly and professional. My poor review is not so much directed at the staff as much as it is directed at the overall service and the recommendations provided. SERVICE: My truck had a very slow oil leak coming from somewhere other than the oil pan. My "Check Engine" light had come on just 3 days before. My truck has over 116,000 miles on it. I have been very fortunate to have never had a serious maintenance issue with my truck and have been a loyal Ford customer all my life. Throughout the day, I was able to speak to the service center to get updates on the status of their diagnostics check. Ultimately, their tests showed that two of my cylinders were low on pressure with a third beginning to decline. CONCLUSION: They ultimately quoted me about $2,500 for a problem that I was able to fix elsewhere for just over $500. I know the saying that people should always avoid taking their vehicles to dealership service centers. In this case, it is absolutely true. Had my vehicle been under warranty, I have no doubt that Alexander would have provided an awesome service. However, a more common sense approach to the issue instead of a factory/dealership service approach would have been far more cost effective. It has been over 3 months since my visit, and my truck is running perfectly after my visit with another auto service place. read more

***Update*** All of my write up about my experience did happen. However, Bill Alexander Ford has made it right. Unfortunately, it took me posting this review to actually get anything done. This was still a poor experience but I do think that posting about them making it right is the only fair thing to do. They paid for all the repairs to the brakes. On the other hand, this problem should've been fixed before the vehicle was sold being that it is a certified pre owned vehicle. Also the hassle was very real and again it took this review to make anything happen. The service manager claims that the phone number he had for the dealership here in NC didn't work which is why he was "having trouble" returning the calls. That is obviously a crock of baloney because the morning after I posted this review, he called immediately and the number worked just fine then. He was basically just trying to save his hide because he knows he's a liar and was in the wrong here. Thank you much to the GM at Bill Alexander Ford for finally holding his service department accountable. I will not edit my previous review. Bill Alexander Ford's service department earned it. Worst experience!!! My car broke down, I had to leave it there for repairs. They had it for over 3 weeks. After two weeks, they said they had the parts they ordered to fix it..On week number three,I called them and told them I would be there this week to pick it up. They said it would be ready. I called them this morning and said I would be there at 10:30 to pick it up. They said it would be ready. I got there and guess what? It wasn't ready. They were giving me all kinds of excuses. I told them I would be back in 30 minutes and it better be ready. I still had to wait another 30 minutes. This is ridiculous. Do not go there unless you have nothing but time to waste!!! read more

I can count on spending no less than half my day at this dealership for a simple oil change on any given day. I've been here four times and always bring my kindle because God forbid I have to sit in a chair listening to children scream and cry for 3 goddamn hours while someone drives my car around to see if the clutch is bad (2012 ford focus, OF COURSE it's bad) and then being told the part is on back order for the next 2 months and being sent home with a dangerous car that stalls at stoplights and shorts out electrically. Oh sure, they wash your car any time you bring it in, but screw that noise. As soon as I get the clutch replaced (if that ever happens), I'm finding a new place. read more

They advertised that they were having a sale and then said that bankruptcy come on down. They pull our credit then berated us on our past credit issues and not paying our bills. Sorry thought that's why we filed. If we could paid for them at the time we would of and we paid alot of them. Daughter born premie wife became permently disabled I got laid off a few months later. So nearly 75,000 in medical debit and this jerk yelling at us in the middle of the showroom floor making sure he embaressed us fully. Better ways of explaining you can't help us. read more

I have a 2017 F250 with less than 24,000 miles on it so of course still under warranty. It would not start the other day so after jump starting I took it straight to The service department. The service rider did the usual write up and I went on my way. The next day it was ready but they started they only changed one of the two batteries because one had a charge (no shit I charged to get there) I was upset that both were not changed but had no choice and went on my way. Get in it to go to work the next day and again would not start!! I called the same service man back and he said bring in and they would change the other right away. At this point I had to juggle vehicle arrangements to get to work. I decided to call roadside assistance to get it towed. It's all automated btw, and they do not state how or what they do to help. A gentleman with a jump box showed up to jump it. Then when he was questioned he got pissed and left and didn't do anything! When he showed up he didn't state who he was with or what he was doing. I can jump the damn thing myself I need it towed at this point so it gets fixed correctly. Now at this point because of our conflicting schedules my husband and I could not get the truck there until Saturday. It took us 2 battery chargers and a jump start to get this new $70,000 vehicle to move. We get it to Ford and drop off and it has now been there 8 hours and they can't figure out what's wrong only that it's an electrical problem. This is a newer vehicle that is in immaculate condition, had all of its service, and only driven back and fourth to work. This is my ONLY family vehicle and they are basically like sorry! In the old days of Alexander ford they gave you a loner if you were a good customer, or acted like they care. It's so disappointing, our family has purchased in excess of 20 vehicles over the years. I realize they have to follow warranty rules, but they don't have to lose their compassion and customer service. contemplating trading it in somewhere else. read more

Took my diesel truck in on Friday about noon and was told they were open on Saturdays and I could leave the truck off for an estimate. I asked if I should leave it then or make an appointment for Monday. Service guy advised nothing and said whatever I'd like to do. I left it there and rented a car. No call back on Friday or Saturday morning so I called them and found out that neither the service guy or diesel tech work on Saturday. So they would have left me with 3 days car rental and just getting around to making an estimate. Terrible communications and service. read more

Returning to Prescott, AZ from San Diego, CA January 2016, pulling a fifth wheel trailer. After fueling, transmission was stuck in first gear and the OD light was on. Drove to Alexander Ford. They allowed me to leave the trailer in the rear lot so they could check out the Tranny problem. I continued home in my SUV that my wife had been following.. The next day I got the $3500 tranny rebuild quote. After speaking with a reputable transmission guy in San Diego, I went ahead and oked the rebuild. Four days later I was told the truck was ready. Drove there in the SUV and picked up the truck and fifth wheel RV. I was told that there was a 2 year guarantee. Drove home (200)miles, and 2 blocks from my house, the OD light came on again, although the tranny seemed to work OK. Could not turn off the light. I called Alexander and was told to take the truck to the Prescott Ford dealer. I did and they reviewed the repair invoice and the next day told me that the "Speed sensor solenoid" was bad and needed to be replaced. I later found that this item comes with the rebuild kit and should always be replaced!!!!!! They had to order the part from Phoenix. Three days later, the truck was finished but the cost for me was $1000. I called Alexander and they agreed to pay the additional money. It took another day for their credit card to clear and I was able to get my truck back. I had to make many calls to Alexander and Prescott Ford when this transaction should have been handled by the service people. Needless to say, if the repair job had been done correctly in the first place, the second repair would not have been needed. So far, I have made the round trip to San Diego from Prescott two more times and have no tranny problems. read more
