Right after surgery in happy spirits! No pain.
    Simone Angela W.

I couldn't sing higher praises for Dr. Hoghooghi. I had four wisdom teeth removed yesterday. I don't need to take the medication and am basically pain free except for some discomfort when swallowing. I'm not swollen either and going about my day normally whole slurping on iced green tea latte and smoothies and cold soup! I was told the third day might be the most painful, perhaps I'll even use the ibuprofen then. I was filled with so much anxiety about the pain because I'm traumatized from two very severe back injuries. I thought it would hurt that same way. Heck no. Easy breeze. You can do this - nothing to fear. The procedure itself was a breeze. I got a pediatric dose of anesthesia/sedation and apparently that was enough! I recall waking up for two seconds or so and I actually enjoyed witnessing at least a second of action, I remember wanting to laugh and tell the crew how great I feel. Haha. Other than that the procedure felt two minutes long when it was an hour. No pain even afterwards. I took the Tylenol but only because I was so freaked out that it would start hurting so bad. It never did. I had smoothie and soup after the surgery and once that gave me some sharper pain because you know there's an open wound. Like when you bite your cheek and eat tomato sauce. It subsided within 30 seconds. The bleeding was going on for much longer than the doctor said but nothing hurt and it went down so I wasn't worried at all. Either way - please don't hesitate. This was fun, actually! The first photo is after the surgery and the second is not even 24 hours later at Starbucks enjoying iced green tea latte! I see some subpar reviews on here but they all seem to relate to billing and the staff. They were great with me. I got the enhanced Delta insurance and it cost me a few hundred dollars only for all four wisdom teeth. Staff was great. They work hard for your comfort.

Top two wisdom teeth "completely boney", bottom two "difficult". Dr. Hoghooghi got them out no problem!

No joke, this was the most pleasant, professional, pain free dental experience in every sense of the word. The front office is a well oiled machine and Dr Baird himself is a genius. Of my three wisdom teeth, I think two were pretty severely impacted and had to come out in bits and everything went more flawlessly than I could imagine. The recovery had virtually no pain which I didn't think was possible after surgery. I was prepared for torment and intense discomfort. Nope. Just some swelling, medication, soft foods, instructions on how to wash with a syringe after a week or so and I was set. I found Dr Baird's office through Yelp, so I just wanted to add my two thumbs up here to help out other Yelpers.

He's kind, explains everything, goes at a good pace so you can't overthink it and has a great sense of humor. I'd go to him again for sure and I recommend him for everyone. The office experience I would give a 1 or 2 stars. Here are some tips: 1) When you schedule your appointment, ask for the estimated bill then, not when you show up for your appointment so that you know exactly what you need to pay beforehand. I was shocked and surprised by the steep out-of-pocket cost, but since you're there for your appointment you can't challenge or back out. If cost is an issue for you, I would recommend that you check with other dentists too because some of the codes that are used is not covered by insurance. 2) I would ask to see the codes that are being used for billing when you get your estimate. I saw afterwards that one was wrong. When it was corrected it meant that I had a $229 refund. Mistakes happen, challenge if you believe there was a mistake. 3) I had to chase for my refund multiple times. Not a great office experience tbh.

But if you go early (which I do), it's honestly a non issue and totally manageable. Now for everything that actually matters, this place is top tier. The staff is beyond amazing. Genuinely friendly, welcoming, and just easy to talk to. No weird dentist office energy, no feeling rushed or brushed off. They take the time to answer questions, explain things clearly, and make sure you're comfortable the entire time. The facility itself is pristine, clean, modern, and really well kept. You can tell they take pride in what they do. What I appreciate most is that they're honest and efficient. They don't try to upsell or push unnecessary work, which is rare. But at the same time, they go above and beyond when it comes to customer service and care. It's that perfect balance. They're also super on top of reminders and notifications, which makes staying consistent with appointments effortless. I'll absolutely keep going every 6 months, no question and I recommend them to pretty much everyone I know. 10/10 (minus one point for parking but we forgive them).

After a year of regular visits and spending $13,475 at Cardinal Dental, I was left with two botched…read moredental implants and a poorly done crown by Dr. Kalinowski, along with a failed apicoectomy performed by Dr. Roberts. Throughout that year, I endured constant pain and infections, which Dr. Kalinowski frequently dismissed as ENT problems, nerve issues, or systemic disorders--all of which were refuted by other doctors. Dr. Roberts misdiagnosed my condition as TMJ disorder and recommended Botulinum toxin injections, which would have incurred even more costs. Despite my severe pain and Dr. Kalinowski's refusal to address a loose implant cover screw, he just pushed the cover in, which caused severe pain because the soft tissue pinched between the implant cover and the implant. I eventually sought help from an ABOMS-certified surgeon. The new surgeon said that all of my problems were caused by the immediate implant, which he never performs due to the high risk of infection, as well as a loose cover screw and a poorly done apicoectomy. The new surgeon had to fix the loose implant cover screw and clean the dead tissue between the implant and cover screw, clean the other implant, extract the apicoectomized tooth, and general dentist had to replace the oversized crown that had improper anatomy. After these procedures, my issues have been resolved. While the staff initially appeared friendly, they quickly became unfriendly and defensive when I voiced my complaints. I requested a report along with the implant stickers, but I only received the implant stickers and not the report. When I requested a copy of my X-rays, I received an empty CD and had to call the next day to finally obtain my records via Google Drive. Additionally, some employees were noticeably noisy and loud, which was unsettling during surgeries. Overall, the office seems more focused on profit than on patient care.
