Alexander Roofing was awesome to work with! Not only did they give me the best price, but they also really stand by their work. They're an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor (I even double-checked on the Owens Corning website), which gave me extra peace of mind when choosing them. The whole team was super friendly, and the job was done in just one day. They even registered my shingles with Owens Corning, and I got the email confirmation right after the work was finished. I did notice a small blemish afterward, but when I let them know, they immediately sent someone out to fix it--no chasing or runaround at all. I did the Heather Grey Duration shingle. I'm extremely happy! Alexander stripped and replaced my roof on 6/2/2025. Amazing workforce team on my 1950's era cape cod house . I had a choice of GAF or Owen's Corning products. ( i went Owen's ) Marvin met me and i was impressed. Detailed the process of the job and the products involved I was so concerned about the "doghouse" dormers, as my last roof 25 years ago that was a problem. Marvin assured me the dormers would not be a problem! Alexander website had photos of many past projects with my type of dormers, which reduced a lot of my stress. The price was super competitive, I had two other estimates that started out super expensive, and the estimates were given by very young gentleman, who I could tell had never even been on a roof before. The other companies kept calling with lower and lower prices, almost daily . ( like car salesman do) I don't like doing business that way. Today's roofing really has changed. No more just tar- paper and shingles. it's an amazing process. They discovered and replaced a few small pieces of rotted tongue, and groove wood with quality thick grade ply wood . I'm very happy I chose this Alexander ! Frank - Locust Valley. PS. we've had a handful of super heavy rainfall/storms in the past two months on my new roof this summer. Not a single issue! I used this company because a year ago I saw their work in a neighboring street and was impressed on how they put netting on bushes and kept area clean as they can , I did get other estimates but I was blown away by their pricing and their professionalism , I have 3 skylights and was told they only have a 20 yr expectancy and I should replace when roof ripped (had 2 layers on roof already ) I received a full tear and 3 new skylights and was impressed that it was done in 1 day ... they even went extra mile and put moulding up by new stationary skylights and cleaned up Afterwards !! I am very happy with the end result! They made our unattractive looking house so pretty, and now every time I look at my house, it just makes me feel so happy!! and mind you, my house is nothing extravagant. It's a small cape! Alexander Home Improvements (Alex & Marvin) do not work with their past customers. I hired them for a complete rip off and replace roof, gutters, leaders, and soffits May 2015. November 15, 2020, a wind storm brought down a tree; damaging the front of my roof and the siding. The soffits board is completely broken. I called Alexander the morning of November 17th (left voicemail), in addition to sending them an email with pictures of the damage, and asked if they can stop by, and estimate the damage to the roof, and siding, and provide a quote to repair; but I never received a response. I then called Alexander the morning of November 19, and was greeted by a woman. I explained to her that I left a voice message, and I sent an email with pictures, and she confirmed she received the email, and can see/verify the damage that my house sustained. She then asked which one did the job. I replied "Both". She said she will let them know, and one of them will contact me (I think Alex and Marvin are bickering amongst each other for business). Today is November 24th, and I have not had anyone contact me. A call stating they are backed up with work would suffice, but nothing. They do good work, but they do not work with former customers. I paid them thousands in cash after the job was done in 2015, and I never questioned them, as they are the professionals. They may be too rich now to accept my money. I wish I can place 0 stars.
