We ordered steak tips medium rare and a chicken sandwich. The steak tips came out severely overcooked , burnt on the outside, tough, and hard as a hockey puck. The chicken sandwich seemed absolutely drenched in what tasted like Frank's RedHot or a similar hot sauce, completely overpowering everything else. What's frustrating is that we've eaten here before and had a great experience, which is why we came back. This visit felt completely different. I honestly wondered if there was a different chef in the kitchen. The service itself was okay, and to be clear, we weren't looking to make a scene or demand items be taken off the bill. However, most of the food was left on the plate, and nobody stopped by to ask if there was an issue or why it wasn't being eaten. Maybe this was just an off night, but based on this experience, it's hard to justify spending $100 here again.

In my experience in a similar circumstance if you're the server you do something to try to make it right. I dunno maybe take off a soda or bring out a free slice of cake if not take something off the bill. Just felt pretty amateur. All we got was some vague excuse about the kitchen being renovated. That's something you should tell a large party when they're ordering.
