We were staying at the hotel on the premises, so decided just to eat our evening meal there and are glad we did. It was a relaxing and delightful experience. We sat on the patio and Robin was our server. She was very friendly and checked with us many times throughout our dining. It was wine night where most bottles were $35. They gave us a little tasting of the two whites we were considering. We got our calamari quickly. It was delicious and crispy, with two sauces. We shared a unique wedge salad made of romaine and a hefty drizzle of balsamic, plus the normal blue cheese. We both got chicken dishes that came with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. That was a bonus for me, so I didn't have to order pasta. The bread came out after the entrees. We splurged and ordered one piece of delicious cheesecake to share after our meal. I waited a few weeks to write this review but my mind didn't change and I wanted to check in with our friends, as well, for their opinion. 1st, the server was very sweet & the chef was also kind & tried to accommodate/substitute as best she could. They ran short on some of the items we ordered. Two caprese salads were ordered & one plate had full sized sliced tomatoes and the other plate had half slices of tomatoes. Apparently they ran out & made a point in letting us know as they were being served. We had also ordered drinks. They all arrived but my husband's. After we asked, we were told they didn't have any grapefruit juice to make his drink. I ordered the eggplant dinner but the server returned advising it had sold out. Not sure how that happened since we were the 1st ones in for the evening. Honestly, nothing was close to good. Red sauce on pasta was rough .. tasted like it came right out of a tomato sauce can, pasta was soft. We left disappointed but still enjoyed an evening out with our friends. I don't know what else to say; was this experience a one off night for them? I'm not sure but I do know we won't be going back. The ambience is great. Especially outside. We were seating quickly and given menus. It then took 15-20 minutes to order drinks and then the dinner selection.. too long! My wife ordered the Greek salad and chicken Marsala. She said it was good, a 4/5. I ordered the lasagna. It was not good. Mushy, very bland. Too much ricotta. Similar to Stouffers frozen Lasagna. 2/5. Everything was expensive. Definitely not worth it. read more

I was staying at the Adero Resort and was looking to find an Italian place within a short drive for a quick dinner - chicken parm sounded good and Pietro's was less than 5 minutes away so... I didn't realize that this is a resort restaurant and that gave me some pause but I decided to check it out... The dining room was quite nice and there were a few tables of guests who seemed to be enjoying themselves so I chose to give it a go and hope for the best rather than start over. Service was quick with menus and within a few minutes I had a glass of wine and had ordered a caesar salad & chicken parm - easy. The caesar came out so quickly that I was amazed. However I soon realized why when the plate, salad AND dry croutons were all at the same fridge chilled temperature. For $9 you get roughly 1/8th of a small romaine, a few shards of pre-sharded 'Parmesean' and some stale cold 'croutons' from yesterdays unused table bread - which in itself is not good! Then the $30 chicken parm... While the one 1/3 of a chicken breast I received was nicely breaded and reasonably crisp, the accompanying spaghetti was just awful. It had that texture... Probably cooked a couple of days ago in bulk - shocked in cold water, left wet in the fridge and then dunked in moderately warm water upon order. Just slightly more al dente than you would see from a can. The pomodoro was just that - under seasoned, little trace of garlic/oregano/basil and thus just plain bland. Shame on Pietro. The Nebbiolo was nice though. read more

The atmosphere was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend anniversary meal. Pleasant staff, delicious food and a peaceful patio. During our visit, there as a large party inside which made the indoor seating quite a bit louder. We also had to send our dessert back for a refresh because it was very much frozen upon arrival at our table. Came from out of state and didn't plan on making any reviews, but for this specific place, I just had to! The appetizer was good. The dinner I had was scampi, and that was also very good. Ambiance was good. The reason for 5 stars? It was the dessert! I have travelled all over the world and I'm not much of a dessert person. But I HAVE TO say that their cheesecake is hands down THE BEST I have EVER had!! It was thick, creamy and full of wonderful cheesecake flavor! The graham cracker crust made to perfection!! Lordy! The outdoor setting is beautiful. The food is great, and service outstanding. The music is abysmal. There is a loud country music beat going on in the background that is completely at odds with "fine dining in a peaceful ambiance". Another great night! This time we went to a red wine paring dinner. We had a variety of red wines paired with salad, rice ball with marina, dates wrapped in bacon, veil and chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. We were given great info about each wine and its region. They also had the wine for sale by the bottle to take home. There was a great jazz band as well. The service was great as always. Celebrated an early Valentine's Anniversary and our experience was good. We have not been here under the new ownership so we were pleased that the food was fantastic. Our young waiter, Dax, was giving it his best and he was very engaging. He was helpful with suggestions from the menu. Unfortunately our entree arrived before the appetizer. Had we realized how large the goat cheeses bruschetta was, we would have reconsidered. It would be a great appetizer for happy hour. Just had an amazing dinner at Pietros tonight. It is under new management starting in 2024 with the new Chef Adam as owner. We started out with an appetizer of Calamari. Lightly breaded and not overly fried. Best I have ever had. My wife had scrimp scampi and I had Pietros pappardelle (shrimp and cod). Both entrees were excellent and pasta is made by chef Adam. . Dessert was homemade Tiramisu. Excellent well price bottle of Cabernet wine. City light views and inside and outdoor seating. Great service by Kanani. Chef Adam came out to say hello at the end of evening. Pietros is a little hard to find as it is located in the Eagle Mountain development in Fountain Hills. Worth finding this gem. read more

What an amazing experience. I made a reservation because it was my husbands 45th birthday. We were immediately greeted when we arrived and taken to a table reserved for the "Harman couple". It was romantic. Rebecca was training Heather. Rebecca was beyond fantastic. She was more than happy to give us recommendations on what to order, she guided us every step of the way. I have never had chilean Seabass. But it was an off menu item. I went with this and so happy I did. My husband had the lasagna, and couldn't have been more pleased. This was one of the best dinner experiences ever. Rebecca also brought my husband a complimentary birthday dessert. And the owners Richard and I believe Diana (forgive me if I forgot her name) got us a lemon cello shot. I couldn't have asked for a better dinner experience. Disappointed. This was the first time I've been back since there are new owners. For an appetizer, we had the Caprese salad. Disappointed that it wasn't homemade mozzarella. I had the elephant and my friend had the rigatoni with squash. The halibut (since it's something I eat quite often), was a premium cut of halibut I would've served for $50. It was just slightly overcooked. The lemon sauce on the dish and the potatoes were wonderful. My friends pasta's dish was not thoroughly cooked. The pasta was undercooked. Rather chewy. The butternut squash sauce was wonderful, though. We shared the chocolate lava cake, which was very good. The staff were super friendly and were dedicated to good service. read more

Such a lovely hidden gem right on the golf course. We started with an espresso martini and Italian margarita. For food we got the calamari and shrimp scampi with fresh pasta! For dessert our server so was kind and got us two desserts the lemon cello cake and chocolate lava cake. We were so happy with everything. A shout out to a an excellent restaurant right here in Fountain Hills. My friend and I went to Pietro's/Ferrarese restaurant in Eagle Mountain Saturday night. I ordered chicken Marsala and my friend ordered fettuccine in a cream sauce with slices of chicken breast on top. Chicken Marsala came with Italian roasted potatoes and asparagus. His meal came with a salad and the dressing was excellent. Both meals were OUTSTANDING. To top off the meal we shared a slice of Lemoncello cake which was light and creamy. We noticed some of the appetizers as they went by to other tables which looked delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the owners are very charming. Can I give 10 stars? Dinner was phenomenal and the service was exceptional. Rebecca and Diane made us feel very welcomed and were quick to offer suggestions and make sure we had everything we needed. We started off with the Meat and Cheese Board which really is a selection of most of the appetizers. It came with obviously meats and cheese, but also caprese and bruschetta, along with olives, artichoke hearts, grapes, and pita chips. The Veal Parm was delicious and tender, done up just like a chicken parm but better and came with a plentiful side of pasta. The lobster ravioli was amazing and the raviolis are stuffed with cheese surrounded by lobster topped with 6 big shrimp. For dessert we got the Tiramisu and it was delicious. So, now that we have lived in Fountain Hills for 21 months, we finally made a reservation at "The Ferrarese Family Restaurant", AKA "Pietro's". When house hunting in town I recall having asked the real estate agent we were dealing with what the best restaurant in town was and she quickly replied "Pietro's". I've heard buzz about this place since too and made a mental note to try it. We finally made it last night. Everything was perfect. Location couldn't be nicer. Service, provided by Rebecca, was friendly, attentive and most importantly relaxed, the meals were terrific and filling (and I'm not a small guy) and the bill was was nowhere near what I'd been lead to believe it would be. (Where did I get the idea this place was going to be very expensive? You want to see expensive? Go get a tank of gas.) My wife and I started with drinks. My wife had one cockail I'd never heard of. I had a glass of Californian Sauvignon Blanc. (I spent 40 years in the super high end wine business in New York City. Trust me. If you're going to drink red wine, and I did, always wet your whistle with a short pour of Sauvignon Blanc.) We then split the fried calamari appetizer. For dinner my wife had the Papardelle with Shrimp Scampi. She couldn't come close to finishing it. I had the Papardelle Ferrarese, which is their home made papardelle with assorted sea food. I finished every bite and went home full. The people at the table next to ours were recommending the special of the night, Chilean Sea Bass and they ALMOST had me on it but I'd read the menu in advance of coming and had my heart set on what I ordered. Both owners, Richard, the Chef, and Diane, his wife came out to chat, Richard to be sure the food was good and Diane because she's just friendly. In any event, this is definitely not the last time we'll be eating here. It's a great night out. read more

The meal started out with a complimentary dinner salad and then huge dinner portions. Rebecca was such a friendly and attentive waitress.
