This place is a HEALTH RISK. Received 4-day-old yogurts covered in mold. We order from Alfred's every week, and usually it's just missing food items, but this was disgusting. They gave us 3 expired yogurts, and this business couldn't care less. I got food poisoning last year from this same location. I would just take your money somewhere else. If I wanted mid, I would've just gone to Starbucks.

Went on a Sunday morning at around 7am. Parking was easy at that time. Any later... good luck! Walked in and saw the nice open sitting area with free wifi! Went into the ordering area It was nice and inviting. The person that helped me was helpful and kind :). The other worker there was more engaging for conversation and that was nice :)! I got the "world famous vanilla latte", a blue berry muffin and a steak burrito. The coffee was quite delicious! The muffin was crisp and fresh. But the steak burrito... that was very tasty!!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk if it was worth 15$, but it was very good with the chapotle sauce!! If I can find parking in the future or if I'm in the area early... I'll definitely stop by again!!

Josue and Joseph are amazing! They always greet the customers by their name and are so friendly! The coffee is amazing and they are always making sure my coffee is right !

I wish I had an endless stomach (and wallet) so I could try everything on the drink menu. Everything looks and sounds delicious, and I believe it, because I had the strawberry matcha latte and naturally got the largest size possible so I could enjoy it as long as possible. It was a perfect combination of flavors and sweetness that I just wish I could have an endless supply of.

I got the strawberry matcha and did half the strawberry sweetness and it was really good. The person who made my drink was super nice but the person who took my order was kind of rude. She didn't have a warm or friendly/approachable attitude...i felt kind of awkward because she didn't say hi or ask what I wanted so I kinda just started just ordering when I was ready. She reminded me of an npc lol, just standing there and staring. Inside is nice, there's a good amount of seating. It also was kind of pricey for the size of the drink but it is the arts district so it's pretty much expected. I paid $8 for a 12oz and also changed the milk to oat milk. Overall, would come again it was just the interaction that was a little off putting.

Deserves negative stars. Ordered the supposed "wake and late" steak burrito. Surprise--it was nothing similar to wake and late. At best this burrito was awful. At worst, I am 99% sure, they used rancid meat in the burrito. If you, unfortunately, know the smell and taste of old/bad beef...that's what was inside this burrito. As I'm sitting here writing this review, I'm trying not to vomit the bit that I ate. Honestly, it's that bad. Beyond the rancid meat, the eggs were watery, potatoes were boiled + semi-cooked, and everything was covered in some sort of a cheese sauce with a nauseating smell/flavor. Masterpiece in sh*t. If this is an attempt to kill the downtown wake and late's reputation, congrats, keep doing what you're doing. Was hoping this would end the casual breakfast drought in Arts District. For now, the hunt continues. This is not it.

Cool built in bench with patio table for outside seating while enjoying your favorite beverage!

Alfred is always the move when in LA! This time, I went for their Espresso Cloud Cream ... & let me tell you, it's not just a coffee ... it's an experience. Light, airy vanilla cream floating over smoothly decadent espresso, finished with a pinch of sea salt & a dusting of cocoa. It's the kind of drink that makes you pause & think, yep, this is why I come here. The new location? Super clean, minimal, & effortlessly cool -- the kind of space that feels calm but still has that signature Alfred buzz. & the customer service? Friendly, fast, & just the right amount of chill. No attitude -- just good vibes. Alfred has a way of turning a quick stop into a small moment for yourself. Whether you're catching up with a friend, on a midday work break, or just soaking up the LA energy... it always delivers. It's not hype. It's just consistently that good. CHEERS!

I came in later in the day and the pastries were already gone but I did try the special matcha! It was good but a tad sweet. My experience here was still great bc the staff was super friendly and helpful! I ended up purchasing a trio of their syrups and some matcha to bring back with me! When im back in the area, I will return to try the breakfast sandwiches which seem to sell out fast! Oh, and more matcha! Great spot on my matcha tour!

Love this spot. I come here all the time and the drinks are always on point (the vanilla latte never misses). The vibe is chill and the staff is super friendly they actually remember you, which I appreciate. Shoutout to Jackie, Joseph, Zoie, Josue, and Sam they're always welcoming and make the place feel like a real neighborhood coffee shop. Great coffee, great people, easy recommendation.

Coffee that actually tastes like coffee, what a novel idea! I was wandering through the Arts District and ducked into Alfred's. When I walked through the door I was surprised to smell coffee beans. I ordered the iced vanilla latte (the menu proudly calls it world famous), and my sister went for the matchaga )with oat milk) Mine was perfect, not too sweet so the espresso could shine through. The matchaga is a mix between a classic ceremonial Matcha and Chaga mushrooms and it was earthy and creamy. Solid coffee, and a good reminder that sometimes classics are "world famous" for a reason.

Hello!!! This coffee hit the spot! I enjoyed the iced chagaccino 12oz and a walnut chocolate chip cookie!! Warmed please!!! They open at 7am and that's the time my friend and I walked in!! The only thing I would improve is letting us know when our food was ready! We got the call for our drinks faster than our food because we just didn't hear our names being called. Other then that I'll be back

Iced vanilla latte is top tier
    Court S.

I did not expect to enjoy the ice vanilla latte as much as I did! There a subtle sweet cream, vanilla bean that complements the coffee perfectly. The employees are very sweet & friendly. I absolutely love the atmosphere, as there are plenty of available tables in & outdoors. No shade, but I'm tickled Alfred has replaced the Pie Hole.

I went with their Iced Cloud Cinnamon Foam latte, and it did not disappoint. The latte is infused with maple-flavored milk and finished with cinnamon, and the combination is absolutely delightful -- ice cold and bursting with flavor from the first sip to the very last. What really sets Tilt apart, though, is the staff. They go above and beyond for every customer, and you can genuinely feel the care they pour into their craft and their service. Seating is limited, though they do offer a few outdoor tables and a bench inside while you wait for your drinks. The service was great. The employees were friendly, welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. As for the coffee, it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. I tried the Cloud Latte and found it a bit too thick, lacking the smoothness and flavor I was hoping for. I also tried the Cinnamon Cloud, which was smoother but still tasted fairly bitter to me. Coffee preferences are subjective, of course, but the flavor profile just didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said, I enjoyed everything else about the experience and would be willing to come back and try a few different drinks from the menu. The service and ambiance were definitely highlights of the visit.

No bitterness, no chalky aftertaste that cheaper ceremonial-grade pretenders leave behind. Just clean, grassy depth with a texture that's silky rather than gritty. This is someone who actually sources well and knows how to whisk Didn't stop there. The seasonal peach jasmine tea was the surprise standout ..floral jasmine up front, real peach sweetness (not syrup-bomb fake fruit) on the back end. Balanced in a way that seasonal drinks rarely pull off; most places either overdo the fruit or underdo the tea. This one's dialed in. Iced Spanish latte rounded things out and didn't miss either; espresso with enough backbone to cut through the condensed milk instead of getting buried by it. A lot of places let the sweetness take over; ROK kept the coffee actually tasting like coffee. 4 drinks, zero misses. That's not luck; that's a program that's actually dialed in behind the counter. I liked the coffee and matcha selections - I actually ended getting one coffee and one matcha because I couldn't decide! Both were soooo so good, I was sad when I was finishing them up. The size of the drinks are kind of small and they were moderately priced. I would say it was worth it because of the quality of the matcha. I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! I am a sucker for pop-up coffee shop/cart concepts so I had to check it out. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!

It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.
