Andante was nearby and in my bookmarks, so we walked over. The store is very small, no seating except for a few chairs right outside. Definitely a grab and go spot. There was one barista doing everything and boy was he hustling hard! I ordered the andante (somehow still in my cream top phase) and my fiance got Ethiopia pour over. Prices were exceptional - to the point where we both agreed that their price for a pour over is significantly lower than a lot of other roasters out there. My drink was smooth, creamy, and could really taste the maple syrup come through from the sweet cold brew. Wish I got a sip of the pour over before someone inhaled theirs, but he did say he liked this coffee better than Kumquat! gasp. One of my favorite coffee shops we've visited recently. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. I get the Purple Fruit and Wilder Blend pour over and my wife gets the Purple Fruit as well. She also drinks the mocha, peppermint tea or Moroccan ice tea... About a month ago, one of the managers here Jason introduced me to these drinks so I bought the Purple Fruit beans and a pour over kit and started drinking it at home in the mornings since we both get up early. My wife tried it and she loved it. She asked me to get a few bags incase they run out so I did! I buy Verve coffee for my team and people in our building all the time. I enjoy buying good coffee for others as much as I enjoy drinking it myself. Their lattes and mochas are really good too. I also bought some beans for my mother in law so she can share it with her friends back home in Seoul and she said they loved it! My coffee game has been elevated and I loveeee it! To get out, you just scan the front then scan the validation after. They have a cute indoor seating as well as a couple spots outside! And they are dog friendly. Walking in, I was quickly greeted by the barista. I ended up getting a latte and an almond croissant. The latte was perfect! Coffee isn't overpowering at all! The Croissant was delicious! Normally when I get almond croissant, there's just a tiny amount of paste in the middle. Not THIS ONE! They did not skimp on the almond paste filling at all! I wish I took a photo of it.
