Amazing coffee! Frank the Barista made our first time experience amazing! He explained the best coffee for my fiancé and I's taste preferences. I came to purchase an expensive specialty coffee after lunch in the Art District. Bye bottle Bottle was near where we parked. I decided to get some beans. So we dropped in. In short, there only a couple of customers waiting for their orders. I was next in inline and decided to order a double espresso and purchase the beans. But here is where I ran into problems. I was waiting to order and pay for quite a long time. What I saw behind the counter was 3 baristas. 1 person was running back and forth. He never noted our presence. In the rear, which appeared to be a manager at the bar direct behind the cashier area doing some office work. One barista said sorry for the long wait someone will help soon. The other 2 baristas were in front of the espresso machines talking to each other. The people in front of me were waiting patiently for their. One member of our party said let's leave it's taking too long. I said let's leave if they don't take our order within a couple more minutes. I really wanted to purchase the special beans. So, finally after 5 more minutes a guy came and took our order. We thought about not ordering to go coffee since it takes too long. So we paid and waited several more minutes for our to go order. I have to say I held my agitation and left. This was the type of service where you feel invisible. It was the most disinterested service I've had in a long time. I didn't expect it from a hi end coffee establishment. I have to say all the other Blue Bottles I've been been to provided respectful service. I expect courteous service when purchasing a 10 oz bag of beans for $24. Buyer beware at this location. read more

Poor customer service, lack of communication, and the vibe I felt was as if they were doing me a favor. I entered the shop, wasnt greeted, when I placed my order the barista gave me the vibe that I was lucky that he was helping me. I requested a refund and that was that. I ordered a large black coffee and 15 mins later I was still standing there waiting for my order. I asked if my order was ready and was told they hadn't started on it and didnt give me a "hey sorry but". I catch the bus/train in to my work location which can change, so this was the first time I stopped by to order coffee from this place. Just a FYI, I caught two busses to get here and could have stopped at a Starbucks, but, I like to help small businesses so I gave Blue Bottle a chance to earn my business, however, I was shown that they didnt want my business! Unfortunately, instead of stopping to buy my coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee, I will be walking by their store front with a Starbucks coffee in hand. I'd like to share a very disappointing experience I had on Saturday morning, May 31st, 2025, at around 8:10 am. My friend and I stopped by to grab coffee to start our day, but the service was extremely poor. There was only one employee there, who was chatting with someone else (who didn't seem to be an employee) and didn't even acknowledge us as we waited. We didn't want to interrupt, so we waited about 10 minutes. As we were about to leave, the employee finally shouted, "Have a nice day, guys," but the experience had already ruined our morning. We're regulars at this location and usually have a great experience, but this was the worst customer service we've ever encountered. Although they were extremely busy, I noticed that they continued to offer wonderful quality service with each guest. They were also very timely to get drinks to customers which I appreciated. Parking is limited, so be sure to plan accordingly. There are multiple paid parking lots near the cafe. The interior is a beautiful industrial design with open space seating. After stopping by Zinc cafe, my SO and I came across this Blue Bottle location, which as a Bay Area native in origin, I had to stop in! This chain originated in Oakland, Ca, and then established stores in San Francisco. Only last year did I visit another Blue Bottle location in Culver City, so I'm definitely excited to see that they've expanded to more locations in Los Angeles. It just tastes like home! My absolute favorite thing to drink here is their New Orleans style iced coffee - prepared by a 12 hour cold brewing process - not only does it taste great it has an awesome caffeine kick! My SO ordered the mocha, and a cookie to go, and he enjoyed them both. And because I can't get enough of the New Orleans style iced coffee, I purchased a couple of pre-packaged cartons to-go as well. read more

This location was justifiably very busy when we were there, but they made drinks efficiently and we found a place to sit without issue. We tried their iced NOLA and matcha latte. Kind of disappointed in the iced NOLA because there wasn't nearly enough chickory in it. And their matcha latte was good, but I've had better. I don't know if there was too much powder in it, but it had a powdery texture to it. However, I would still love to come back and try the other drinks they have to offer. Staff are friendly. Since I was just next door at Zinc Cafe I decided it was finally time. I walk in and the staff was very nice! I tell the guy taking my order that it's my first time here and I enjoy black coffee, so he recommended one of their pour over coffee. The environment was very mellow and the staff at this location was very welcoming too. Their pour over coffee was good. Nothing too crazy but I just wish I'd have had more coffee in my cup. The cup size was a little smaller than what I imagined. I'd probably go back again to try their lattes. A little part of me did kind of hype this place too much. It's okay.
