2 locations that I have visited numerous times and the food is solid every time. They are just doing the basics of Mexican food but they do it well. Every time. Staff is always friendly. Today the roommate and I ordered relish. So normally when you order relish you get a bowl of carrots, onions, and jalapeños. We got that and a corn relish. Check out the picture but let me describe what we have here. Corn, red bell pepper, tomato with a sweet something. Waitress said it was sweet and sour. All I know is it was really good. So now let's talk about the sopapilla. You can get them regular with cinnamon and sugar but you don't want to do that here. Why they even offer that option is beyond me. You want the icing. Your mom didn't raise a quitter. Go ahead and get chocolate sauce with raspberry. Today they were out of raspberry so she went chocolate and vanilla. Crazy good. This place is amazing. The first time I ate here I had my meal paid for by someone. & I'll never forget that. You have to get their relish, & corn stuff along with their hotter salsa. The food was amazing. We dropped in based off of other reviews and sure enough it was great. They seated us quickly. They brought free queso and salsa right away. You could fill up on just that!!! I tried the Deluxe Fajita Nachos and they were the best I have ever had, lots of cheese and steak. The food was served very quickly. We decided to give this place a try after hubby burnt me out on all the regular Mexican food places in Norman. I have to admit, the name didn't make me want to go. Alfredo's? Shouldn't Alfredo be over pasta? Fear not... this place knows how to make Mexican food! Atmosphere: 4 stars Keeping in mind this is a Mexican food place and not some 5 star dinning establishment, that atmosphere was pretty nice. One thing I really liked that I have not really seen before was that the restaurant was long and not very deep. They set up "isles" with the tables and put up privacy walls that were tall enough that when you were sitting you couldn't see over them. Each "section" then had about 6 to 8 tables in it. This kept the noise level down in an otherwise large, open restaurant. It was also nice to not hear every conversation going on around you. Because of this, I didn't notice much decor, but I wasn't really paying attention to it or looking for it since I could focus on a conversation with my man. Why not 5 stars? They played country music! Full disclosure, I despise country music, so I'm probably bias, but I don't want to hear country music in a Mexican food restaurant. It was also kinda loud. I almost wrote off the restaurant entirely for this, until I tired the food (Did I mention how much I despise country music)? Service: 5 stars Great service! We arrived on a busy Friday evening and were greeted by friendly hostesses and given a 20-25 minute time frame for the wait and a little buzzer. It was too crowded inside, so we enjoyed the weather outside. About 15 minutes later our buzzer went off and we were escorted to our table. This place does wait staff in teams. We had a waitress, and then she worked with other people who kept our drinks, chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas coming. We never once ran out of anything. People were constantly coming by to check on us without bothering us (a visual check), something I appreciate! Our food came out quickly, it was hot, and our waitress made sure we were happy with how our order came out. They even offered us to go drinks. Food: 4 stars We started off with their green, hotter salsa (I didn't understand the name of it), tortillas, which were homemade by the way, chips, and salsa. The hot salsa was really good. It didn't have as much of a bright pepper flavor that I was expecting, but was more smokey hot. It was very good and I mixed it into the queso for some added flavor. I didn't care for the regular salsa (personal preference), but it was fresh and had lots of flavors. The tortillas were excellent! They also offer vegetable relish, which we declined. I ordered the enchiladas and got one ground beef and one chicken with the Mexican mashed potatoes and refried black beans. I found the mashed potatoes to be a bit grainy and way too salty. I think I'll try something different next time. The refried black beans were on the salty side, but not as bad as the potatoes, and had a nice smooth texture with a deep earthy flavor. The enchiladas were excellent! The beef enchilada was meaty and well flavored and not at all greasy. The chicken enchilada was stuff with all white meat, tender chicken that was seasoned well. Hubby ordered the chicken fajitas and said they were his new favorite fajitas. I didn't try and of the chicken, but the caramelized onions were quite good and cooked perfectly. Everything was served hot and fresh. We were offered sopapillas, which looked really good, but we declined since we had plans for frozen yogurt afterwards. I'll try them on my next visit. The portions were just right, and the prices were not too expensive for the quality and quantity of food. I think we found a new place for our go to Mexican food... even if they do play country music. read more

Somewhat above-average tex-mex in a strip mall in Moore. We had the steak and chicken nachos, and a chicken tacos, which were all good. There were plentiful complimentary queso, relish, salsa, chips, and tortillas. The strawberry margarita was very good, and very large. If you like hot, ask for the green salsa! read more

We have always enjoyed Alfredo's, but the last week when we ate there it was so loud, the food was below par I had Tony's fried Tacos and they were soggy I at first thought it was grease but it was Water, the refried beans were runny like soup!!! The rice was cold. The wait staff seemed lost, confused like no one was in charge. I could not believe it. We have always enjoyed the food and service. I think we will take a break and try someplace else for a while. read more

My party of 5 waited behind a party of 27... FOR 45 MINUTES!!!!! Meanwhile there were several empty tables around the restaurant that could have accommodated us. I asked the staff if we could sit at those- the waitstaff said "no, we're trying to get our big top set up before we worry about sitting anyone else." then we finally sat down and waited 30 minutes to get any water. The food was lazily made and subpar. Enchiladas were made "differently" so it was easier on the kitchen staff. I didn't love this restaurant to begin with, but I'll never be back. Especially not to this location. I'm going to try to not pull out all my hair before I leave. If there was a 0 star review I would give it that. read more

I have been dining at Alfredo's since it opened. I have always found their restaurant clean and a good atmosphere to get together with friends. My previous 2 visits were not that great, and with a large selection of Mexican restaurants around, I am hoping they will up their game. Last Wednesday we opted for Mexican and decided to go to Alfredo's, even though the last time we went the fajita meat (beef) was thick and chewy. My husband ordered beef fajitas again and I was going to order 2 a la carte tacos and a side of black beans to share with my 2 young kids....until I saw the price. One a la carte taco is...ready.... $6.49. For 1 taco. The 1 taco dinner was $8.79. I opted for the dinner and decided to eat off my husband's fajitas. The fajita meat was not thick and chewy this time, but very thinly sliced and extremely greasy. So greasy that my son would not eat it. I mean, how could he. The waiter was a middle aged man who didn't speak much Enlish, but practicing Spanish is fun so that wasn't a big deal. However, he was rude, would not address my husband, and acted put out when we asked for more napkins and water. In addition when the food was brought out, instead of waiting until we cleared some space at the table to put down the plates, they handed them to me. Awkward. We also felt very rushed to eat. I am not sure if we will give them another chance. Two plates of food cost us nearly $30, and our children ate off our plates. read more

Fantastic restaurant! I have never had a bad meal and we eat there regularly. If you like a hearty, cheesy, slightly spicy burger then you have to try the Taco Burger. It comes in a tortilla with plenty of cheese and a chipotle mayo that gives it personality. I kick every meal off with their corn relish...excellent! Alfredo's in Moore was by far my favorite restaurant through high school (5-8 years ago). In recent years, the quality had dramatically declined. The queso is watery, the ground beef is undercooked, and the overall quality of food just sucks. I would never let food leave my kitchen in the condition it's been brought to my table over the last year. I tried to give excuses of 'they must just be busy' etc etc, but any respectable restaurant should know their busy times and prepare for them. What's so disappointing is they were spectacular in the past. This store has lost my business, and I'm so sad to lose my favorite restaurant to laziness and poor planning skills. read more
