The atmosphere is completely different, plain and gray. The metal chairs are very uncomfortable. And it seems like the prices went up and the quality went down. It wasn't terrible. Well I used to like this place but since they have moved they have new chairs which seem to only fit someone with small hips. So if you have big hips like I do, save your self from discomfort and go to Tarahumaras in Norman. read more

The food is your typical tex-mex food so don't expect more than that. The service is decent everyone is friendly. If you are ok with an atmosphere that is a bit louder than most and open then you won't have a problem here. Major fail on my large group. One friend's order had to be made 3x before they put chili sauce instead of sour cream sauce. Asked for tortillas at the beginning. Received them 15 minutes after fajitas were delivered to four of our friends. Worse part - There was an 18% tip included (understood). Gave a minimal additional tip because of the service. A little pricey but great food. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is their pricing. I have been here several dozen times over the years and only had one bad experience which was promptly taken care of by management. I seldom eat here anymore simply because they put a Chelino's in Moore. The food pretty much is equally good at both places but I can expect a smaller check at Chelino's. I will say that Alfredo's has more of a Mexican feel to it and is quite larger. I also understand that their overhead, mostly rent, is probably much greater simply because they are right on I-35 and are easily accessible. A really great option for Mexican food in OKC. Prices are very reasonable, and include free chips and queso/salsa/corn salsa/guacamole, and a free sopaipilla dessert (which I dreamed about for days...it was smothered in glazed sugar. I read many reviews and decided to take the monthly staff lunch meeting there. Like some have mentioned I have never taken Alfredo's serious because it was in a strip center. I WAS WRONG. The lunch prices were good value. The food quality was above avg texmex, but the price was below avg. that make for a solid 4 stars. I had the chimichanga with the fajita beef which was very good. A staff member has the lunch fajita and it came out with a hot plate which was surprising because lunch fajita usual don't. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Will go back with the family soon. read more

We live in Moore and this is by far our favorite Mexican restaurant here. Have had pretty much everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed. One of the jewels they have are the Kristin's tacos. If you haven't had them yet you must try them. Shredded pork tacos with sliced avocado on a flour tortilla and the best part is the juice they give you to dip your tacos in. So good. read more

I've been to Alfredo's a few times. This past time was one of my best experiences. It was relatively empty when my family and I arrived which seemed out of the ordinary. This restaurant is often packed, but it was rather icy outside. Our waitress was nice. We got our chips, salsa and queso right away (I would call the queso more of a cheese sauce though). The salsa is always very fresh. Our meals came out unusually fast which was nice because we were starving! I always get the beef tamale. It never fails to satisfy. I decided to get the Mexican mashed potatoes this past time. I wouldn't exactly called them Mexican though. They were just normal mashed potatoes. Very delicious nonetheless! The quality of the food never seems to disappoint me. I'm always extremely satisfied and full every time I come. read more

First time here. We ordered carry out for mother's day. The staff taking my order was extremely helpful and courteous. The staff that gave us out order to go...also very helpful and kind. The food is really good. Everything was hot and fresh. We ordered a bit of everything to test it all out. Mexican street tacos....awesome. Fajitas were great. Get the corn salsa....it's fantastic. The green salsa is good if you like a mouth on fire for 15 minutes. I like spicy....but not painful spicy. Did I mention the corn salsa is great? Good....cause it is. Queso was yum. Good consistency. Red salsa was flavorful and mild in spice. Enchiladas were decent. Rice and beans are as good as rice and beans are gonna get. Tortillas were really good. My only complaints....the chips are thick and kind of stale. My personal preference is thin and crispy. So the chips weren't my jam. Also, I love tamales. Like I am obsessed with tamales. As in....I want to adopt an old Mexican lady to be my grandma and make me for real tamales forever that make my mouth and tummy so so happy. The tamales here are not very good. The shell is thick and dry and meh. Like I got all outer stuff and the inner stuff was so minimal I couldn't tell you the taste. All in all, it's a good place and we will be back. I just won't order the green salsa or the tamales.....and I will continue to search for my Mexican granny. read more

I got another chicken enchilada with cheese sauce. I have ordered from the past but I forgot why I didn't care for them. It's how they prepare the chicken, don't care for it but my dog loved it. Good tex-mex. It is convenient and close to the house. I like that the set up is included and one can have different relish and tortillas as well. At one point this was a 5 star Tex-Mex spot with some flavors that were outstanding. Last few visits have seen a decline in service and food quality. Most recent visit got the Taco Salad. Ask the server about the size, and was told it was big and loaded. Got it and was surprised to find it small compared to other spots, with a sprinkle of meat that would not have filled one enchilada. Unevenly cooked meat, bland seasoning, and slow service have made this spot drop on our list to 3rd or 4th choice. For 2017 would rate it 2.5 stars. Luv to see them return to form in 2018. read more

This one is quickly becoming a family favorite. The staff is great with kids and it's easy to get in and out, with the family. The service is great and the food is among some of the better Mexican I've had here in OK. Defiantly ask for the green spicy salsa if you go. I've never had a bad meal here. The chino beans as a side are the bomb (bacon and jalapeños). Our favorite dinner dish is the fajitas - they're are always cooked perfectly. The free queso and tortillas are a plus, too. The wait staff is generally pretty attentive. Would recommend this place over Teds and Chuy's. read more

My experience with Alfredo's has dwindled. It used to be very good with a very friendly staff. We have slowly stopped going because the food is too greasy. We decided to give it one last try and order take out. We stood at the carry out desk for 5 minutes with nobody helping us. 2 locations that I have visited numerous times and the food is solid every time. They are just doing the basics of Mexican food but they do it well. Every time. Staff is always friendly. Today the roommate and I ordered relish. So normally when you order relish you get a bowl of carrots, onions, and jalapeños. We got that and a corn relish. Check out the picture but let me describe what we have here. Corn, red bell pepper, tomato with a sweet something. Waitress said it was sweet and sour. All I know is it was really good. So now let's talk about the sopapilla. You can get them regular with cinnamon and sugar but you don't want to do that here. Why they even offer that option is beyond me. You want the icing. Your mom didn't raise a quitter. Go ahead and get chocolate sauce with raspberry. Today they were out of raspberry so she went chocolate and vanilla. Crazy good. Leaving with leftovers I CAN'T WAIT to be hungry enough to enjoy! We were greeted and seated promptly and by a friendly staff who genuinely seem like they are interested to help. Drinks were out quickly and in HUGE glasses. When ordering the server went out of his way to ensure an accurate answer to my question about the preparation method of a menu item. Food was brought out in an average amount of time (very few people in the restaraunt) of about 15mins and was hot. Side item on gf's plate was not what she was wanting, but was unsure she ordered correctly so she didn't bother trying to change it. We ordered a sangria swirl margarita, it was AMAZING! flavors balanced very well with each other and the alcohol which was present in sufficient amount ;-) Taste of the food was definitely above average/very-good but not the most flavorful of any Mexican place i've been to. The complimentary queso however was PHENOMENAL! I add bring cayenne powder to add to food for health/nutrition reasons and the additional spice really complimented the savory creamy cheese dip very well. Overall i am VERY pleased with my experience at Alfredo's Mexican Cafe and will be coming back any time I am in the moore area looking for a delicious mexican dinner! read more

I came here at 3:00 in the afternoon and over 1/2 the restaurant was empty but I was told there was a 15 minute wait. So as I sat in the lobby along with 15 other people waiting to be seated, we all watched as the staff laughed and played around. When I finally got seated it took awhile before a server showed up and when they did the chips were stale and my food was cold. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Won't be back. read more

Really great tex-mex! Again being from Dallas it's hard to find "real" tex-mex but Alfredo's does a really nice job. I have tried their cheese enchiladas/beef enchiladas, crispy beef tacos, bean and cheese nachos, chimichanga, and their fried tacos all of which are pretty darn good! They have their regular red salsa, a spicier habanero salsa, a verse salsa (I haven't tried yet), and the Mexican corn relish-- everything is great. Their sides are unique, not just the standard rice and refried beans. They have Mexican cream corn (delish!), fried beans, refried black beans, Mexican mashed potatoes, and more. My husband and I used to go to another well known mexican establishment in the same area, but we have decided Alfredo's is our new go to tex-mex place. read more
