I got a pepperoni pizza with oregano, and it was easily some of the best pizza I've had in California in a while. The crust was really good with just the right amount of chew, the pepperoni had nice crispy edges, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Last night we ended up at Alfredo's Pizzeria in Hillcrest, and honestly... what a gem. It was late... they're open till 2am!!! and the place still had this easy, welcoming energy. Zain greeted us at the counter and turns out he's also the cook, which somehow made everything feel even more personal. The pizza slices were so good. Big, flavorful, not greasy, just... right. The buffalo chicken slice in particular? Perfect amount of heat, great texture, super satisfying. I also ordered the chicken piccata, and they actually made the pasta al dente, which almost never happens at a late‑night spot. Creamy, bright, delicious sauce. Zero notes. They had 80s nightclub tracks and Italian dance hits (Felicità, Sarà perché ti amo!!) playing the whole time, and it just worked. Fun, nostalgic, a little chaotic in the best way. Prices are decent, especially for Hillcrest, and the menu has way more than you'd expect... pizzas, pastas, subs, wings, salads, all the classics. Definitely added to our late night circuit. read more

San Diego has very few late night dining options. Luckily, Alfredo's pizzeria in Hillcrest is one of them and the food they serve is amazing! I just finished eating one of their plain cheese calzones, approximately $16 with tax as of spring 2026. Wow! This calzone is one of the best things I've ever eaten, not going to lie! It's crunchy, cheesy, hot and the flavors are creamy and buttery, salty and a slight sweetness from the ricotta cheese. Dipping it in the warm marinara sauce takes it to the next level, but really isn't even necessary. It almost reminds me of the flavors of fettuccine alfredo wrapped up in a crispy flaky crust, so yummy! If it's late at night (or anytime really) and you're hungry, don't hesitate to place an order at Alfredo's pizzeria. read more

I was just taking a walk through the neighborhood but the smell of pizza made me turn back to find out where it was coming from & I gotta tell you, as soon as I walked in Ray was on top of it, greeted and welcomed me immediately & answered all my questions about their deals and his favorite menu items. I ended up with the pasta & beer special, I had the Arrabiata pasta and if you're a fan of spicy; this is the ONE for you! Stromboli: Surprisingly very good, considering stromboli is hard for pizzerias to get right. Lots of great meat slices. Lots of cheese. Rolled over a few times in a nice dough. Love the generous amount of sauce given to dip this in. Meat Lovers (X-Large): So many different types of meats! I think they might have even added ones that weren't listed on the menu. It's a little heavy with all the toppings, so hard to eat holding. Instead of using a fork and knife, I kinda just lifted the plate to my mouth and slid a corner over the edge to eat. I like to judge places based on how they treat people like they think the group is intoxicated. Be warily of the person taking of food orders save there is advantage of people taken oraders. She tries to upcharge. And sneak in items that weren't originally asked for. Otherwise pizza is good. Just don't like the approach, but I just went with it. Great place otherwise. The young dude up front just be charging anything to anyone. Charged me for 4 slices and gave me 2, and gave me hella attitude when I asked about it? You guys are in the strip of BARS. I get you guys have to handle people who are drunk, but I don't understand why an establishment is able to charge extra for people who they THINK are incoherent enough to not understand what they are paying for. 10/10 comfort food done right. The wings were perfectly crispy, tossed in a bold, saucy buffalo sauce (but you also need to try their house made salt and pepper wings) !!! The pizza was cheesy with a cheese pull! and cooked just right with a great crust.The service is PERFECT! Very fast and speedy. You can just tell everything was made with care. This came with great reviews and didn't have a long wait. Using UberEats, we had this delivered in less than an hour. The food was super hot - like they just pulled it from the oven. Pizza was okay while the w spaghetti was a bit better. Overall, we've had better pizza from other nearby places but this place wasn't bad. They did forget to give us our ranch dressing, so I can't give a full rating on the salad. This is a good place to order/eat from but there are better. Was craving a calzone and Alfredo's Pizzeria didn't disappoint. It was packed with fillings and their red sauce wasn't too sweet but just right. Also ordered a dozen wings, perfectly sauced and tender. Plus Alfredo's provides a good size container of ranch for dipping. My hubby doesn't eat calzones so I got him a sausage pizza which he enjoyed. I'd say that Alfredo's is a good value for the price. I noticed that their prices tend to be lower than other pizzerias so it's definitely a keeper. Next time I'll try their namesake dish. read more

Note: I am not a picky Alfredo Pasta eater. I eat it when I want to eat my feelings. It's creamy, its lucious, its fatty, it's delightful. I'd say my baseline for acceptable alfredo feeling eating is as simple as the Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo at Outback Steakhouse. Unfortunately I'd have to say this venue falls short of expectations. It's not as good as Outback or even Olive Garden. It falls short due to lack of seasoning and way too much sauce. I will say the pasta, considering it was doordash, was cooked pretty nicely, some al dente attributes, but at the end it was all fat and no flavor. Some more basil, some more salt, some more garlic is all you really need to get there. Also it comes with a nicely sized piece of garlic bread, no need to order a side of garlic bread as I did for extra healing feeling resolutions. It's a start, they're piecing it together, but there's room for improvement. read more

This is my first and only review for March directed towards the Owner just a heads up on my visit today. I have been coming in here since you opened and just want to let you know that today, March 14th 2025 I had the most exemplary service ever! The two Women that were running the restaurant know EXACTLY what true customer service is. They both welcomed me entering with smiles and friendliness. They explained the several types of pizza's in the cold case. I went with the spinach artichoke . They did not rush me when I gave the order for my usual chicken parmesan with salad($19.99) to be eaten at the restaurant and the slice of pizza cooked crispy to go. I was brought a beautiful salad check out the photo and know that I was in here a couple weeks ago and got a very measly salad from one of the male cooks. Both women served my table at different times with my food and graciously asked if I needed anything else. One did come back a couple of times to make sure that I was enjoying my food and if I needed anything else. I would definitely come in here once a week instead of once a month with this kind of service and friendliness. These two women are keepers. read more
