I'm so thrilled to see another great community pizza shop back in this location! Little Sisters is such a great fit. The quality is incredible and the service and staff are even better. I am a big fan of the Uncle Jesse and the Obecian, but you really can't go wrong with any of the options here. The ranch is also delicious, but be prepared that it is on the dilly side! I was really wanting to enjoy this place from all the reviews and a friend's suggestion to try it. But I was disappointed. It just felt meh. My biggest complaint is the lack of freshness. I ordered a caesar salad, and a chickie chickie parm pizza. At $50, I expected a higher level of quality and taste, both of which were lacking. First for the salad - the pictures online showed a grilled caesar that looked very fresh and appealing, especially with the addition of anchovies which usually indicates homemade. What I got was just cut up lettuce, parm, and a container of anchovy pieces and a container of dressing. The dressing tasted like store-bought caesar which wasn't good (overly salty and not fresh). The anchovies were ok but too salty to really eat, so I left those out. For $16 I had lettuce and sprinkled cheese. Then for the pizza - again, not very fresh. It kind of tasted like day old pizza. Even though I ate the pizza about 10 minutes after picking it up, the sauce was seized up and had a not so appealing texture. Kind of like tomato paste. The chicken parm had clearly been cooked a day or two earlier as it was soggy and not that yummy breaded, crispy chicken you expect in a chicken parm. I picked out the chicken and just ate the pizza which wasn't very good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but this was one of the most popular picks online. I don't think I'll be back unfortunately. Not bad pizza and this is supposed to be like a NYC pizza joint so it felt nostalgic to be in here. The place is super cute and could pass for a NYC pizza place if it were like 1/4 the size. Staff here was very nice and helpful. I got a slice of Sicilian ($7), order of 6 garlic knots ($8) and a diet Coke ($3). Portion sizes are on steroids so you will get your money's worth. Pizza was just a tad bit less tasty than what I am used to. Garlic knots were good but the marinara fell flat (did not have that umami of tomatoes). Overall, a very cool place to experience. I love little sister's pizza. It is one of the places that stays open fairly late, and I've been multiple times. They have their class size which they always have, but also have a special. The servers are very friendly, and will always give you good recommendations. This is one of the spots where the pizzas are in the window, and they'll warm it up for you. Although I no, they can also make full pizzas to go as well. They are dog, friendly, and they have a small patio to enjoy your pizza. Popped by for a pizza to go on a Sunday night after randomly getting to itch to eat something greasy and have a cold one. This was my second time coming here. I couldn't quite remember all the details of what I liked and disliked about it but I do remember it being mid. Great for lunch or a slice which is what I had jotted down in my notes the first time I came. The second time absolutely confirmed it. It's more of a thin slice of pizza and so if you're looking for something more greasy, heavy, and thick, you'll be better off going elsewhere. That being said for a thinner slice, it was a good balance. It wasn't too weighty and the toppings weren't sliding all over the place. I thought it could use more cheese (don't we all need that tho?) and a scoop more of ricotta cheese. I had the Uncle Jesse which had olive oil, ricotta, mozzarella, fresh basil. I would have liked to seen more fresh basil as well added to the end. Other than that. It was a fine pizza. I was between that and the chicken parm which if I ever return I'll get that. They sell other items such as dessert and sandwiches, fries and spaghetti. Service was super friendly which was great. The place was about a quarter of the way full. Nice and clean, welcoming art, esp LGBTQ+, and reasonable looking pizza. But I'm not sold on it. Let's address staff training, if there was any. This didn't seem like a problem until the possible departure of the young lady staff member in recent weeks. She seemed to be there nightly and/or daily. In the past two months I've received less than decent service. The gentlemen seem tired, severe, and unhappy. Maybe no oneever told them "When a customer enters, you should greet them even if you're having a bad day." Lackluster at best. read more

I had heard about Little Sisters Pizza, and happened to be in North Park & HUNGRY! We ordered an Uncle Jesse whole 16" pizza for $27 with tax. The crust was just right, and the flavors of the cheese, mozzarella & ricotta blended well together. along with fresh basil and olive oil. They had water and plastic cups available gratis. I knew it was a popular place because at 8:30pm on a Friday night people were still picking up takeout and the tables up front and outside were buzzing with people and conversation. It's a casual spot, but they won't blink if you're all dressed up. You can sit outside with your pup. The owner loves to decorate seasonally, so Easter bunnies were still up with the staff names on it. The decor was a blend of classic with the Tiffany like lamps hanging from the ceiling and culture - there was a small freeway sign with Yankee Stadium on it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they were highly motivated to get your order through. I give them kudos for a wide variety of slices to heat and serve. It makes an affordable & delicious option accessible. Other drinks available were sodas and sparkling water in cans and bottles. They had Dr. Pepper! We had a show to attend in North Park a few weeks ago and de used to try Little Sisters Pizza since it was rated one of the best pizza spots in San Diego. We ordered pizza slices which was great so that each of us could get what we wanted. The pizzas have punny names and are reminiscent of songs, bands, album titles, and lyrics. Clever. The place is small with very few tables inside and outside but the staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking is a huge issue because North Park. We parked in the structure a block away for $5 but the prices for parking fluctuate depending on shoes nearby st the observatory. Grabbed a bite to eat here before heading over to a concert at the Observatory a couple blocks away. 7pm on a Friday night, poppin' with people as expected especially on the patio, but we managed to snag a table inside. Staff was attentive despite the growing traffic on patrons and takeout orders. I've had their pizza numerous times at the Sister's Pizza location and was delighted to walk by this one, so was already familiar with their menu. Both thin crust and square slices were good, and enough to get us through the night. Even packed the rest of our garlic knots to munch on during the drive home. The patio was probably occupied fully because the space inside was pretty warm from all the oven work, but they make do with tight quarters. I stopped by on a Friday evening around 5 PM. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, with a decent amount of space to sit and hang out. At the counter, they had about 10 different pizzas available, and you can order individual slices for $4.50 each, which is convenient if you want to try more than one. I tried two slices: *Rooftop BBQ: it had a phenomenal crust, but it was pretty light on sauce and toppings. It honestly ate more like crispy cheese bread with a drizzle of barbecue sauce. *Uncle Jesse: it was fine. It lacked the crispy New York style and didn't really stand out. I think it would be much better if they added chicken to it. My order came out in just a few minutes. It's a cute spot with quick service, and the option to order by the slice is definitely a plus. That said, the pizza itself just wasn't all that great. One heads up: don't come too close to closing. When I was there, they only had one pizza left available by the slice. If you're set on a specific flavor, it's probably best to come earlier or call ahead. They don't have beer on tap, but they do offer canned beer. Little Sisters Pizza in North Park is the sibling branch of Sisters Pizza in Hillcrest, never been to either but wanted to try the newer of the two. This shop is located on a trendy and Gen X populated area of North Park. I came early afternoon and got parking half a block away, in this area that known to be parking challenged. There's outdoor and indoor seating, although the space is small, the interior makes the best of its space with high top tables and more seating. There is no TV monitor and no cool music here therefore, reduced my stay time. Of all the pizzas, the most flavorful one was the Obsidian slice, which was the greenest; with contents of mostly veggies, herbs and cheese. As mentioned in my previous reviews, my favorite pizza in San Diego is Bronx Pizza's Whitestone spinach with ricotta. Unfortunately, the version closest is Obsidian and the flavors is incomparable :( I couldn't decide on pizza flavors so I ended up ordering 4 slices!! I just wanted a bite of each and knew I would take the rest togo because the pizzas tasted bland and didn't live up to my expectations, earns 2 stars. While the staff was friendly and inviting, my slices didn't entice me into a return visit anytime soon. I tried the "Chickie Chickie Parm Parm" and "Pepperoni Patty." Neither one was terribly impressive. Their take on a chicken parm pizza had an off-putting sauce that was either too sweet or too acidic and didn't have much flavor to love. The pepperoni was reasonably tasty but incredibly greasy, with an ant's swimming pool floating atop each tiny slice of (apparently) cheap meat. Three stars is a somewhat generous rating, but the bottom like is that there are better options for slices in North Park (namely, Lefty's and the aforementioned Mr. Moto). It's a shame, because the staff seemed so nice, but quality is quality, and Little Sisters just didn't bring it to the same level of it's competition. read more

Such an amazing pizza spot! Staff is so friendly we love coming here! They just opened and already we have been 3 times! They have both pizza by the slice and whole pizzas to buy. I love the flexibility for pizza by the slice! The Hawaiian is by far my favorite. All pizzas are New York style with thin crispy crust. The sauce is nice and a little sweet with many options with no sauce as well with sauce on top or pesto. Such a great spot! My mentor brought me and my roommate here and this was one of the best pizza's i've ever had. Immediately walking in, Lisa, the manager at this location was so welcoming and kind! She helped us all choose the slices and went through each of the toppings, we ended up all getting the Don Ho, which is the pineapple and ham, as well as the pepperoni pizza! It came out hot and crispy as we sat down, Liza brought it for us. There is parmesan cheese and peppers provided on all tables, and water on the side of the place for you to grab. Lisa ended bringing an extra slide of pizza to our table because she remember my mentor talking about it, but ended up not getting it. Absolutely kind, and I loved this customer service! The slices were absolutely delicious: pepperoni, ricotta, pineapple pep. Would definitely recommend the 6 for $8 garlic knot deal... this is the best garlic knot deal in town! The service was great and the slices came out quick. It was about $27 for 4 slices and 6 knots which I thought was pretty good.
