I stopped by on a Saturday around 10 PM, right when they were opening, hoping to grab a slice. They let me know it would be about another 30 minutes before slices were ready so if you're planning to come right at opening, it's worth keeping that in mind. I came back around 11 PM, but although Yelp listed their closing time as midnight, they had already closed for the night. I returned the next day around 11 AM to finally give the pizza a try. The restaurant was empty, and ordering was quick and easy. They only had pepperoni and cheese available by the slice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I chose to sit inside, but it was fairly warm, so the patio would probably have been a more comfortable option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My slice only took a few minutes to heat up before it was served. The slice is definitely large, but at nearly $8 after tip, it felt a bit expensive for a single slice of pizza. Parking was also challenging. Street parking in the area is limited so plan to spend a little extra time looking for a spot. What I ordered: *Pepperoni Slice: The slice was generous in size, but could have used more pepperonis. Personally, though, it just wasn't my style of pizza. I prefer a crispier crust, and this one was much softer and doughier than I like. The cheese also didn't have the rich flavor I was hoping for. While I know they make everything fresh in-house, the overall flavor reminded me more of a chain-style pizza than the homemade, artisan-style pizza I was expecting. One thing I can't say enough about is how friendly the owner was. The service was welcoming, and I also love that they're dog-friendly, which is always a big plus. While the pizza wasn't my favorite, I'd still be interested in coming back to try one of their sandwiches or another menu item. read more

Well it got 4 stars and the photos looked good but what I got was a train wreck. Cheese that was rubbery and had no interest in traveling coast to coast. Crust without flavor or chew. Toppings that barely registered to the taste. I got the standard and the only taste that registered was the overwhelming garlic from the tomato paste~like sauce. I ate 2 or 3 pieces and threw the rest in the garbage. My wife got the Margarita. She said it wasn't her favorite. We won't be back. read more

New owners took over for the lovely family that has been there for years! The family meal used to be $35 for a 16" pizza, wings or salad, and soda. I just paid $65 w/tip for a 10" pizza that is dry, and does not taste at all like what we are used to and love. They've changed everything very fast. I used to go here at least twice a month. They said they're changing the name of the place and menu, so this review won't matter. So sad that this happened, but I hope the new owners take this review into consideration. read more

OK guys so I really want to highlight this business because I was beyond impressed by the Owner so just the other night my parents came to town to visit me and they love going to Savio's for the Philly cheesesteak which is amazing so I decided to join them and as soon as we walk in, I didn't realize they were literally about to turn the lights off like they were closed, but the Owner was like no problem order whatever you would like, and I will make it for You. He went and turned everything back on to cook for us. I could not believe it. I cannot thank him enough and the chicken Philly cheesesteak that I had was so freaking amazing like I went back the next day for another one that's how good it was !!!Big, Big, big thank you to this business Owner. He earned a loyal customer that night and the best part was that he remembers my mom. I thought it was so cute. Had the jalapeño and pepperoni pizza and a veggie delight. Walked away wanting more pizza but from a different spot. The crust was alright. Thin. Crispy. Not a ton of sauce and cheese on the pizza. Looking for a fresh cut, loaded salad with a ton of veggies and toppings? Try Savios. Support small and family owned. The family that works here is so nice and patient. They are great at making food! I also consider this one of the more affordable restaurants on the block, without sacrificing quality. Everything is made fresh to order. I judge pizza places by their crust, and the crust here is buttery, chewy, crunchy, and well seasoned. Tip: It's a lot more economical to order a fresh pizza here as opposed to slices. 4 individual slices already totals over $20 after tax. But a whole pepperoni pizza is just $13. read more
