I usually order the surf and turf in Alfred's but this time I tried the lobster roll, and it was a pleasant surprise.

It was Sunday, a little on the early side, so the bar was wide open. Hubby opted for his signature drink: a very dirty vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. I went with my favorite drink at The Social House - LaLa Lemon: malfy lemon gin, lemon sorbet, lemon zest, mint leaf. Both cocktails are absolute perfection! Next time, we are definitely going to try their signature cocktail - The Jungle Bird (served in a cage): bumbu rum, campari, amaretto, lime, pineapple, brown sugar, pineapple wedge. I'm soooo curious about this concoction!

Management always seems to be there when I arrive, happy to greet and seat me and make sure I understand specials and how the menu works. Cocktail selection is good with unique flavor profiles. The menu is tapas style. Not super expansive but some good options. Last time I was in, I got the Asian chicken skewers that are served over cold noodles (absolutely delicious), and a half flatbread half panini plate. Pizza (mushroom and onion) was good. Panini was just ok, a little dry. This is the kind of spot I enjoy coming to for the ambiance and cocktails. Not necessarily my favorite for a sit down meal, but that isn't the point. Beautiful decor and a sexy atmosphere.

They do not have mixed drinks. I tried the Veal Parmesan and was very pleased with it. The veal was tender and it tasted like it was baked instead of fried. The sauce was excellent they used fresh cut mozzarella. Instead of pasta, he served it with herb roasted potatoes and fresh roasted Brussels. Every part of it was excellent. We also tried a thin crust pizza with prosciutto and asked him to put buffalo mozzarella on it, which was a game changer. The pizza was excellent as well. Overall, we had a great experience and will return to try more of the unique menu.

The food is fantastic and far better than you would expect for a lounge. Primarily Italian food, the chef executes everything to perfection. They have a basic menu of appetizers, sandwiches and charcuterie, and every week the chef has a different entree menu with five or six items on it. The chef is so good, I am wondering why he isn't cooking for a big restaurant. Well, at least here he has control over the quality of the food. If you are in Rhode Island, stop by for a meal and a drink between 4 pm and 9 pm and thank me later.

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.

There is a bar when you walk all the way in and couches and some tables. The cocktail menu and the food menu has some interesting choices. I had the chipotle shrimp and fried avocado taco. The chipotle shrimp taco had dry rubbed and air-fried collossal shrimp, pico, cabbage, chipotle aioli, and salsa verde. The fried avocado taco, 1st time having this type of taco, had beer battered avocado wedges with crumbled cotija, pico, cabbage, cilantro, and salsa verde. The tacos had good taste. It took a little while to come out, but it was good. I had the white sangria which tasted really good. My husband had the transfusion which is Tito's vodka, grape juice, ginger ale, and it comes in a bag. I thought that was a cool concept for an adult beverage. I spoke to the gentlemen named Bill I think he is the owner. He was so kind and he made me want to go there and check it out. We went on a Sunday so I know it would be calm and relaxed. It's in a very nice area, and we find parking on the street straight away. Walking in this place is so cute, I love the music, the interior designs, the tvs and the designs In general it felt cozy, so many tables and so much space. The bar looked very well put together and I saw lots of options. They have drinks that I think Bill made up of his own which I appreciated and they had a nice appetizer menu. Bill served us and answered any questions we had and he remembered me from the phone. I know I will be coming here regularly. My drink was called "transfusion" and came in like an Iv looking pouch I thought it was comical and it was very good. My best friend got the wings and LOVED THEM. I just loved it there, it was my first time but the first time left a great impression on me. The prices are great and yet again Bill is great he was sure to thank us for going there and come again. I will be back!
