The owner is a G! Service was great because for starters, I forgot my wallet and only had $10 on me and he cooked me up this crazy plate out of generosity and we even had a nice conversation after. I highly recommend if you ever come stay at the Westin on fifth Street in Austin, Texas. I'll be back every time I'm in the area.

What a cool location with other food trucks. Conveniently located next to the hotel if you need to use the bathroom. The spot has a few picnic tables shared with the other food trucks. Ordering is quick and easy with a simple menu. The combo plate had a good ratio of meat to rice and was flavorful with the white and hot sauce. It really hit the spot, give the plate a good mix before your first bite.

I flew in late to Austin and most of the restaurants were closed. I was supper excited to have a gryo though. The meat is great--salty, charred on the flat top and soft in the middle. The combination of the white sauce and hot sauce was perfect. I also ordered a kafta Plat with rice. Everything had so much flavor. The rice is seasoned and has mediterranean spices. The kafta was great. I would definitely eat here again.

This halal food truck on 5th Street is sooo good. I had the combo (gyro + chicken) rice plate and it was delicious. We also got fries, which were coated in red and white sauce. These fries were very tasty as well. My friend had the gyro wrap, which she liked. I do not like how they don't list the prices on the menu. It was $14, which is good because the portion was so big. I ate it all, but it could (and should) be two meals worth of food.

Great gyro spot! Was dropping off a friend nearby when I got a hankering for a lamb gyro and when I searched, it turned out that I was just a couple of blocks away from here. The menu is being updated for prices, but the lamb/chicken combo gyro I had was $9 and the fries were $5. The ordering was friendly and paying easy with the tap option. Order took like 10 minutes. I decided to eat in my car because I had a feeling I was going to need privacy. I did! Everything was so good! Super soft pita loaded with meat, veggies and sauce. It was messy and beautiful. The fries were crispy and tasty with the ketchup and white sauce combo. Kind of like the ketchup mayo that you get in south America. Putting this one with my top gyro spots in ATX. Update: Just visited again after a couple of months and everything was just as delicious. Got a combo over rice this time and it was loaded! Had them add their spicy sauce and it was so worth it! Not ridiculously hot, with lots of tangy flavor. Worth it!

Conveniently located, steps from Austin Convention Ctr, right behind Courtyard Mariott. Flavorful and Halal :)

Fast service; delicious food (the falafel was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The hummus was balanced although I prefer more paprika & some parsley); very convenient location with great hours.

My favorite Falafel in Austin. Kind service and bomb food. Flavorful, garlicky, saucy greatness... I go often!

I stopped by MezzeMe on a whim when I was looking for lunch in the Triangle and I'm glad I did! I…read morearrived around 1pm on a Wed and it was pretty hopping so don't expect it to be empty just because its a weekday! I put in a to-go order for a kibbeh wrap; the price seemed typically high for the area, but when I got my order its quite a sizable wrap so all-in-all a pretty good deal! The food did take about 20 minutes to come out- I wasn't going to complain as there was a line of people the whole time so I could tell it was busy, but when I did get my food they apologized for the wait and gave me some free baklava so even if there had been hard feelings that would have 100% fixed it lol I'm a huge baklava fan and had actually been considering adding some onto my order but didn't because of the long line! So service was great, but most importantly- the food! The kibbe wrap was huge; I managed to finish the whole thing but in two different sittings lol. The kibbe was generous, and the pieces were flavorful and juicy. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the whole thing was lightly sauced but the flavor of the kibbe popped enough that I didn't think it needed more sauce. Delicious and I would 100% order again. Plus the (free!) baklava was top notch! Sometimes you get the ones where the filo dough is a little tough/chewy and it still tastes great but the texture isn't there- not with this baklava! It was tender, delicious, and a perfect end to the meal. Parking was limited on the street but I believe the Triangle has garages also- I was able to snag a short term parking spot for MezzeMe which is actually why I originally decided to check it out!

Lamb beyti - loved the flavors here, kinda was giving a Mediterranean take on ravioli in the to-go box. Not sure if that was meant to happen, but we enjoyed this and the sauce on it! Chicken shish kabob - The wrap was massive, missed on flavors here BUT quantity was more than enough. Falafel - about average? Overall the lamb beyti carried, and I'm curious to try everything more fresh!

The hosts and hostesses at the door were incredibly warm and welcoming and truly went above and beyond to find us a table on a very busy Saturday night. That level of kindness and hospitality meant so much to us. Our server, Wade, was wonderful--attentive, gracious, and made us feel so well taken care of. The food was exceptional: fresh, beautifully presented, full of flavor, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. Even my kids ate everything they ordered, which may be the biggest compliment of all! Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food, and genuinely wonderful service. Thank you to the entire Peacock team for making my birthday dinner so memorable. We will absolutely be back!

We spent around $600 with tip and fees for 5 (mixed grill, two apps, two drinks each); and while the food was delicious the meats were luke warm not piping hot, our server while very friendly was not the best at giving suggestions (basically she said everything is good lol) and wasn't able to split the check 2/3 and 1/3 instead of 50/50 ("... I don't know how to do that"), and the cocktails while tasty didn't really feel special enough to be $21-25 each. It was a very enjoyable experience I just don't know that it lived up to the price tag. For that price I'm looking for exceptional not just very good. That being said the food was delicious! Pricey but pretty good portions. The server said the mixed grill was good for around 4 people, but with two apps it was actually a little too much food for the 5 of us. Mixed grill ($220): -Rosewood Wagyu Strip and Lamb Chops: tie between these two for the best dish; they were both juicy and tender and the sauces were delicious. Not served piping hot but they were so good I didn't really mind. -Harissa Marinated Beef Tenderloin: great flavor- a tad dry. -Spiced Lamb Kefta: also dry, I liked it best with the yogurt sauce. -Red Pepper Chicken Thigh: delicious, one of my fav kabobs. -Herb & Garlic Shrimp: tasty and not overcooked -Charred King Trumpet mushroom: loved the veggie option! they mushrooms were substantial and the sauce was great. -Crispy Shallot Hummus: very good- loved the crispy shallots in particular! -Manti Dumplings: top app- I would 100% order this again the dumplings were delicious and the sauce/yogurt on top of them was the best, we wiped up every drop with the pitas! -The pita bread was hot, fresh, and delicious and our service kept on offering more, so I don't know if they've changed their policy but my experience was not the same as reviews that said only one pita per person. We refused extra pitas 3 times I think! Cocktails- everything we tried was quite good, but again there wasn't the pizaz or just 'blown away by the flavor' to feel that the crazy price was totally justified. We tried: Spanish G&T (very refreshing- don't chew on the juniper berries lol), Banana Bread Old Fashioned (pretty good even for someone who doesn't much like whiskey!), Bonfire on a Beach (fun, smokey, love the harissa on the side), Peach Martini (teensy bit sweet for me but good). The manager stopped by a few times to check on us and our server was very attentive. She did give us good service its just for the high price I would expect some more detailed suggestions on drinks, being able to split the check other than 50/50 (or at least ask someone instead of just saying 'I don't know how'). It was friendly and enthusiastic service just not 'wow this truly is fine dining' service. Outside of the restaurant, parking is a bit of a pain but that is normal for down town. We parked at the Laz garage half a block away- $8 for 2 hrs instead of the $27 for valet.

If you're not familiar with the cultural norms then I understand why some people may feel that the workers are rude, but they're absolutely not in my or my people's perspective. You just need thicker skin and ability to take a joke, really. Their intentions are pure, their food is made fresh, and the hookah is ah - so smooth. I actually bought my entire set from here. I've gone through over 10 sets at home over the past 6 years and the one I bought from them is by far my favorite and most durable one. My kid loves their chicken shawarma wraps and we joke that he should get a job there since he liked it so much. Great space, authentic and quality stuff! Thanks, guys.
