We have a 1-year old and have taken him to almost every restaurant in Laramie. Alibi is the ONLY restaurant that has told us they don't have high chairs. He's too big to sit in his car seat for the entire meal but not big enough to sit at a regular table seat, so we had to leave and went to Accomplice instead (which did have high chairs). It's pretty ridiculous and inconsiderate of your customers not to have high chairs available. read more

Blown away by her lack of consideration for us, I went back to my table and got the bill sorted with the server. In the end, I went up to the manager on the way out and wanted to say something, and before I could talk, she told me I needed to leave or she was going to call the cops! Omg, y'all...Yikes! We had a group of 10 driving back from Jackson on a road trip. We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. The server was upfront and told us he was new, and when we ordered food he let us know that the kitchen was backed up. More than half of our group have worked in the industry so we were thankful for the communication. However, two hours later when we had two kids screaming that they had not eaten, 3 pizzas came out, only for the food runner to come out yelling that they weren't ours. No appetizers or other food was offered until the main dishes were done. It then took another 30 minutes for all pizzas to come out. Half the dishes were not dressed correctly (mine was missing arugula for example), and at that point we knew that it was the food runner who had been chatting with people all night instead of running food was causing the issue. We ate very quickly as we had to get back on the road, and when we went to pay, the food runner was the one to check us out. Not only was she clearly extremely annoyed, but she only took the refills off of the bill ($25 off a $230 bill). To upset people who have been in the industry before takes a talent, and she is the reason I would not recommend coming here during "height" hours. read more

Ooooft well it's hard because when you live in Laramie there aren't many places to go eat. But this restaurant has been very unkind to us. This past summer they started using QR codes. My husband and I ordered our food using the code maybe 5 minutes after other members of our group had. Our food didn't come out for over and hour. And everyone else had finished eating. We inquired about the status of our food and they shooed us away. Then when it was brought out to us by the owner she said to us, "maybe if you had your sh*t together it would've come out on time". I was so confused! I couldn't believe she said that to us.... Anywho more recently they've just been very rude about changing the TV channels and their food is overpriced. We came in to eat dinner on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm. Wait for the food was over an hour to be served our waitress nice and fine but she did not seem to care that our food was completely inedible when it came out we had ordered four pizzas and one Reuben sandwich all of the pizza crust were burnt black And the cheese and the dough part in the middle was still raw. It looked like the pizza oven was super hot. They left it in long enough to burn the crust but not cook the filling . Rubens sandwich which claimed to have sauerkraut on it which it only had a couple of pieces of raw cabbage and the bread was hard and nasty very disappointing. We also ordered foir sides of Ranch that were in like a tiny cup they maybe were a tablespoon of ranch in each and charge a dollar per tiny serving 4 $ for something that wasn't even even a quarter cup of Ranch And we were not advised a dollar per ranch. We had a toddler with us so we ordered the great white which is basically a cheese pizza and that was not edible so we ordered a cheesy bread and asked him not to put the hot honey on it because a toddler can not eat hot honey . Waitress's did not offer to take it back nor to take it off of our bill along with the rest of the food she didn't offered to try and fix it or make amends or re-ordering anything. Went in recently for Sunday brunch and had a mixed experience. Ordered biscuits and gravy with side of over medium eggs and bacon. B&G was fine but bacon was burnt and under cooked at the same time and eggs were hard. They cook everything in their wood fired brick oven which is cool but method/temps seemed to be a little off cause things were getting overcooked. Waitress was attentive and friendly and latte was good but if you want to compete with other places for brunch goers you need to nail the basics (eggs and bacon). Yikes, this place needs a big reality check. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere. We sit for about 5 minutes without menus as multiple workers walked past us. The bartender saw us there and didn't do anything, but when young girls walk in, there is no hesitation to rush to them. 10-15 minutes go by without any water, drinks, or a waitress in general. They were flat out rude and ignored us for most of the time - we were 5 seconds from leaving until one of our group members went to the counter to order our food. It was also St. Patrick's Day and they were promoting all of their beer, but it seemed to not work at all so we weren't able to get any. No napkins, no silverware, no plates, not a thing. Then forcing a 20% tip?? For what?? Not sure why Guy went here, food is a greasy mess and everyone who worked there like they hated their jobs. It's like I was back in Covid. No one will talk to you. You have to order and pay online, get your own silverware and water. And the music was super offensive; songs using derogatory words. And you'd think the price would reflect all you have to do for yourself, but it's expensive! And the food was just ok. And they allow people to have their dogs off leashes in the outdoor area. The food was okay, and on the expensive side. the service was terrible. You seat yourself, order from your phone, they prompt you for a 20% tip, okay no problem BUT- They drop your food off, no silverware, napkins, extra plates for a shared dish, no water and on top of that the servers were flat out rude, visibly rolling their eyes when you ask for anything ( a to-go box). Excellent food, friendly service and definitely worth the drive from Fort Collins. The drinks were wonderful and I would definitely recommend taking home several of the chocolate cookies. A pretty good outdoor meal! The ambiance on the spacious back patio was quite nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and our food was good. I found the prices to be pretty high for what you get (for instance, $17 for fish tacos that were 70% cole slaw). I found the pizza and even the salad disappointing. While not terrible, the sausage pizza and the veggie pizza I ordered were undercooked, doughy, and had skimpy toppings. I'm so confused by Alibi. I spend 1-2 nights a week in Laramie and the first time the food was very good. Simple, well-done pizza that was incredibly thin, evenly cooked crust, and pretty good ingredients. The second time, undercooked, thick crust, and barely any toppings. Anyone can have an off day so I split the difference on the review. The "good" visit was good enough for me to want to have a tiebreaker. But the bad is going to make me disappointed if the second experience is repeated. read more

Simply Fabulous! Went for an early lunch today with the wonder wife. Didn't know that until 2:00pm Sunday they have a brunch menu only. Almost left - had my mind set on their Ruben. Wonder wife says we should stay - thank goodness. I had the Croque Madame. I've traveled the world and had really good ones in Paris, so I'm snobby skeptical - but hungry. So away we go. I was completely blown away by the quality and execution of this sandwich! It is rare to find something like this - so good - because it perfectly presented the quality of the ingredients in such a noticeable way. I mean - it's a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich with a fried egg - in a 'pizza joint' so how far can you really go with this, right? We'll this one went right to the top of my list. Fabulous homemade bread to start. Thick cut Italian ham, great quality real Gruyère cheese, jumbo perfectly fried eggs, all toasted and presented perfectly with fresh - not frozen - home fries. It was fabulous! And such a great treat. Forget Paris - this is the real winner. You may or may not know that the Alibi was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives last year. Guy Fieri is a kick - but he only scratched the surface. This girl Kerry has serious chops. Her skill, care and attention to detail with the food, staff and operations is beyond a 'how to do it' education. I am totally impressed with the depth of commitment and skill on display here. I haven't enjoyed a meal out like this in a couple of years. So many restaurants have compromised their offerings in these harder times. NOT HERE! I always love eating at the Alibi whenever I'm in Laramie. My favorites are the Turkey Apple sandwich and for pizzas the Pesto Chicken. The food is always fresh and the bread is incredibly delicious. This place is usually on top of their game. I've never had a bad experience here, until tonight. Ann was our waitress and she was also one of the bartenders for the night. She got our drinks pretty quickly but then seemed to forget about us. Yes the restaurant was busier that usual, but it is also a Friday so what do you expect? It took her almost 20 minutes to remember that we were there and then she finally took our order. When the food came out, she asked if we needed anything else and we told her no and her response was "good" and walked off. The only time that she really showed up was when it was time to pay. I can see now that I'm not the only one that has noticed the horrible customer service experience of this place. One star for starting off on a decent note. Went to the Alibi with my family for pizza & drinks. Our toddler started melting down, so I left with him & my husband. The pizzas started coming out right when we were leaving so we expected that my parents would be right behind. Should have been the easiest ticket for a server that ended up treating my family like crap. All she had to do was bring 3 pizzas in boxes & the ticket. They were left sitting there for 30 minutes after we left. The server ignored my family & finally another server brought everything out. One pizza was cold & rubbery, the other two were burned. Pictures included. The real kicker was the ticket. They clearly state that they add 20% gratuity on parties 6 or more, which is fine, but my mom got stuck w/ an obligatory 20% tip for our party of 5...unless they were counting my family's small terrier as the 6th member of our party. We are visiting Laramie and planned to order a pizza to go but when we got to the restaurant we realized they had an outdoor dining space. We checked it out and decided to stay. It is a fabulous spot with plenty of tables spaced a nice distance apart. There are umbrellas over the tables if it's sunny. We dined at night and they have two gas fire pits lit for warmth and ambiance. Food is ordered thru a QR code and tab is paid online. Our salad was pretty and delicious. The ranch dressing had dill seasoning in it and was uber good. The service wss friendly and fast. Only issue is both of our pizzas were burnt on the bottom. We get they are wood fired but they were beyond that. The pizzas themselves were good, pepperoni delicious, but the crust underside was black. No one came to check on us after our food was served. Maybe that's where we are in this covid world but with a bottle of wine our tab was over $100 so we just expected a bit more. Super bummed. We had visited Alibi Wood Fire this summer after an appointment, sat outside and had some fish tacos and brisket pizza and were super impressed. So, when we visited Laramie yesterday we were looking forward to a nice meal together. This was not to be had. They were out of brisket and pork...it was only 4pm so it seemed odd that their main protein ingredient was gone...Oh well, we ordered something else. The food arrived pretty promptly but my spinach artichoke pizza was soggy crusted..I understand that putting items like artichokes etc on it will make it soggier but it needed to be cooked more. But, the poor waitress (yes the 1 who was running all over taking care of all the tables) seemed overwhelmed. We ate the food, not a huge deal. The deal was the noise level---music was super loud & there was one table sitting closest to the kitchen that was so very loud, every few minutes they would laugh so loud that you couldnt even think, I do believe that it was the owner & friends from their FB page pictures, so I am assuming this is why nothing changed in the 45 min we were there . My husband and I couldnt even talk and hear each other. Understandable that it is a sports bar vibe I guess but when you cant even have a nice conversation...its just super sad.
