The service and staff here were amazing for handling a large group with split checks that all arrived and ordered at different times, so I would definitely give kudos for that. We ate at an awkward meal time (3pm) so the restaurant was pretty empty and could focus all of their attention on us. They got all the orders correct with the one off giving someone's order to someone else who ordered the same thing but much after, but that was to be expected. The food is manageable, but is it the best tex mex I've ever had, NO. I would dine here if its close to home, convenient, and you feel comfortable, but its definitely not for the memorable cuisine and food. read more

Cousin, sister, and I came here for authentic Mexican food during the Ramadan period--still ongoing. We were in euphoria at the varieties of vegetarian dishes, cheese enchiladas, and spinach and mushroom quesadillas. The varieties of sauces, served fresh and spicy, piqued our appetite--throughout the meal. Their chips come hot and warm, crispy and not too salty. Besides the traditional food, the managers and staff are always considerate and polite --they go the extra mile for their customers and find us the most comfy seating spots. Outstanding place. I hadn't been to Alicia's in a while. I was shocked at the changes. #1 they give you 1/2 cup of salsa with a small bowl of chips. I ordered chicken quesadillas. Wanted to try a new mexican restaurant and the service was amazing had sample mezcal it was strong so had mango chipotle margaritas. One of the best restaurant food I've had, this tasted so good, like an home made dish, it was fresh and busting with flavors. I had fajita tacos appetizer queso fundido with fajita and my friend had fish tacos with cilantro rice and salad. I don't live too far from here and been wanting to check it out. I love thin mexican tortilla chips and thats what they bring out, with just a bit of salt. The salsa was SPICY yet flavorful They have street tacos for $.199 (chicken) $2.50 (beef) on Tuesdays. I had 3 chicken with a small frozen margarita. I was nice and full afterwards. Probably because of the margarita. The tacos are small, 2 corn-shelled tacos with a strip of meat and onions so you may want to order another. Maurisco was our waiter and he was very personable and quick bringing everything out. I'll come back and try something else. I gave 4 stars because its a bit dim in there. I just moved into the neighborhood a couple months ago and have been trying area restaurants. So we did have to wait briefly a time or two for service, it was excellent nonetheless. Had one of the combo platters and a build your own dish, which we shared, both were very good. We'll definitely return. read more

Very disappointed with how the staff handled our issue. We ordered chicken tenders for our 1 year old, and as we cut into it they were completely raw inside. I didn't think to take a picture because I'm not usually one to write reviews, but after how the manager handled it, I felt I needed to. They replaced it with grilled chicken but the manager tried to charge us for it unless we left it behind, without apologizing for how our meal came out. She was only worried about the bill. Poor customer service, especially from the manager. The waiter, on the other hand, was professional, very apologetic and handled the situation the best he could. read more

Ordering was difficult because the server and I couldn't understand what the other was saying. I was asking if the the taco was ground beef or shredded beef, he said chunk. Basically it is carne asada. The meat was really tender and flavorful. The cheese enchilada was also really good. I enjoyed the salsa it had some spice but not overwhelming. Food is delicious!! I always use refried beans as a benchmark for a good texmex restaurant. I know it sounds silly but, It's the simple things that can be the hardest to do properly.. Their refried beans passed my "bean taste test." But, seriously, I had enchiladas suizas it was very good. We shared the nachos and my aunt loved the nachos. We wish more people were dining there. I did like the salsa and queso but the beef fajita tacos and tilapia tacos were not good at all not even to just eat and just not come back. The taco Tuesday special was $1.25 per taco but now it's $2 per taco. That's not a deal imo. The margaritas are always too sweet. The manager who's normally at the front can be very rude and snobby. Dined here a couple of times. Good food, nice atmosphere. Tonight was my last night dining here. Black customers beware. While dining the chip and salsa lady gave us our chips upon seating. As my table dining went on, we needed more chips and salsa and waited and waited and... the chips and salad girl seemed to only give a refill chips and salsa and drink refills to white customers. I did bring this up to the host and told the host that our server did assist us but I did notice this about their co worker. When the manager made her rounds I told the manager same story I had told the host. The manager response to me was to tell my server if I needed more chips. No acknowledgment. Wanted to try something new for lunch I ordered a lunch special over the phone so I could just stop by and pick it up the lady at the front was rushing me while I ordered didn't take my name or nor tell me the time frame it would take the Hispanic lady with bangs when I got there she had charged me for 2 meals and a drink when I only ordered 1 after a few minutes of back and forth I had to show her what I called to order for her to understand that was fixed and then she came with my order I asked nicely were there spoons etc in the bag just double checking she had a rude look on her face and yelled " YEA YEA " very dismissive the food ended up giving me food poisoning and I have been sick a full 24 hours now can't keep anything in or down this was the only thing I had ate so I know it's from the restaurant needless to say I will NOT be returning the enchiladas tasted watery and poor quality I've had better without the stomach aches & rude hostess read more

Upon entrance, We were seated in a very tight corner and the hostess did a very bad judgment call about placing two big guys in a tight corner. We simply asked to move and she said okay. Cool. So we moved and then we waited for approximately 5 minutes before, I assume, the manager came to help us. We didn't see a single server within that time either. The manager then asked us what we'd like to drink and we gave her our order. Probably 2-3 minutes later another severe came to ask us what we wanted for our drinks. (That shows me that they have no communication with each other) Upon receiving our drinks, the margarita was watered down and literally had no alcohol, tasted mostly of sugars. Being a bartender, so I know how much alcohol is supposed to be in a margarita. My michelada was served with Valentina hot sauce, rather than a michelada mix and I asked for Tajín but was given salt instead. I waited for another glass that would have tajin but even then, they lazily put the glass together, barely any tajin. Then we get to the menu.... Yall when I saw its overpriced, it's DEFINITELY over priced. I saw the food of the other patrons and the food QUALITY is NOT there. Seems to be another failed chain restaurant. Improvement? Communication. Communication would play a BIG factor there. It doesn't matter how upset you are with each other, everyone there is there to run a business. My wife saw the pics and reviews for this location of Alicia's and i'm glad she talked me into a visit. She got the lunch menu build a meal, pick two items from their list, she got two ground beef enchiladas and it came with rice and her choice of barracho beans. Amazing enchiladas. I got the beef fajitas for one over a bed of still sizzling onions, super tasty and tender, this came with my choice of refried beans and rice, guacamole and pico de gallo. They serve good crisp tortilla chips with two kinds of red sauce....both great enhancements for everything on our table. We showed up about ten minutes after they opened and we had the place to ourselves....the service by Cesar was as good as the food...we'll be back. read more

Like a real Texan I judge all tex-mex restaurants on the quality of their chips and salsa. The red table salsa they bring is good, it's taste like pico de gallo, but the green salsa that I had to request was amazing. I ordered the mixed fajitas and they were delicious! They came with fresh flour tortillas, beans and rice. My husband had the cowboy plate which consisted of flank steak, two large shrimp, two cheese enchiladas, beans and rice. Today was my first time at Alicia's. We had a great waiter named Caesar that was soo attentive and very sweet. I ordered two margaritas during happy hour and boyyyyy was I tipsy!! Lol for my appetizer I got the large queso. I will say the cheese was VERY thick and we had to use the chips from our salsa which was too thin and kept breaking the dip. So either we need thicker chips for the queso or the cheese needs a bit more milk or something to loosen it up. I ordered a half shrimp half beef quesadilla and it was delicious (you can really mess that up lol). For dessert I got the sopapilla, which came with a decent amount (8) and a tiny scoop of ice cream. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it wasn't bad either. Chips and Salsa are excellent. Chimichanga was good (ordered half chicken and half beef and got way more chicken) Queso is very bland and not a must have here. Probly make better at home if I am being honest. At least I believe it is real cheese. Refried Beans and rice are bland and the rice texture is off to me. Service was good and my needs were met.
