We came to try Alien Doner and honestly, it was a great experience. The portions are very filling and the taste is excellent -- it really feels like authentic Turkish doner. Everything was served hot and fresh. For drinks, I personally prefer canned soda. They also have fountain soda, but since I came here mainly for the doner, it's not a big deal for me. There's parking available behind the building, which is convenient. The place is spacious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving real Turkish doner!

Went here a while back since they close late. I tried to order, but there were no employees there. I then started an order using the kiosk, only to find out there was a mandatory convenience fee for using. Eventually, an employee came out. I asked if he could take my order, since I didn't want to pay the convenience fee. He told me "no." I said that is ridiculous to charge a mandatory convenience fee, even when the customer is okay with being inconvenience by not ordering through the kiosk. The food was solid. Delicious slices of beef with lots of flavor. Good portions. Soft rice.

I've been on the hunt for a doner kebab this good for 20 years after living of them in Germany during the world cup in 2006. So stoked to finally find this gem not even a half mile from my office. I'll be a regular for sure.

Best tukish doner I've tried in OC, would recommend trying the beyti and iskender. Its open till late night and plenty of seating.

Closed tuesdays ============ One of the most consistent spots for amazing and filling food! Some favs - all their meats are marinaded! #6 chicken bowl - comes with cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, white sauce, + hot sauce (but it's not spicy for me) White fish is cooked wonderfully for a nice crisp outside with tender inside Ribeye is cut a little smaller, but the flavor is there and it is well seasoned Shrimp is also a tasty contender (not huge shrimp, but not teensy tiny) and not plasticky Whether you go with a filling rice bowl, a baguette (soft and chewy), their wrap which is like a bigger version of their "Turkish taco", the taco variety which comes with soft, pliable bread.. cannot go wrong here at all. Kunufe I fell in love with, really enjoy the smaller size that's available for less guilt. Comes with cheese and a not too sweet syrup for a nice sweet, salty sensation. Hot sauce Bae loves it, it's a bit tangy for me Green olives Also a bit tangy for me , but bae loves as well Spinach feta pastry with potato I tried a sample of this and it blew my mind. I'll need to get more when I come back in. Not greasy and it was flakey and I'm drooling thinking of it. There are seats and tables available, but it gets a bit warm inside during the day. I happened to be in the Fountain Valley yesterday afternoon and had a hankering for some good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. I wasn't even hungry at the time but thought, what the heck? They paint or squirt on a selection of house sauces such as hummus, tahini, garlic mayo, hot sauce, yogurt...and I think I'm leaving a few out. You pick and choose which ones you want on your handmade creation. They also offer tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, cabbage and a spicy pickle concoction. I went around the world and had some of each. The hot sauce and pickles were the standout and definitely kicked it up a notch. Let me tell you, it's a FLAVOR BOMB. Super delicious with fresh high quality ingredients. The staff is very nice too and I even got a piece of baklava ($1.50) on the way out the door. I'm already trying to figure out when I am going back. 5-Stars all the way.

The service is one of the many reasons we keep coming back. The servers recognize us and greet us like old friends, making every visit feel warm and personal. What makes this place even more special is that it's a family-owned business. The owners are often present, personally welcoming guests and ensuring everyone has a great dining experience. Their hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers returning time and time again. My go-to meal is the Boneless Chicken Kabab served with basmati rice and a fresh Mediterranean salad. The chicken is incredibly flavorful, well marinated, and cooked to perfection every single time. I honestly don't know their secret, but the chicken is always juicy and tender, never dry like many other kabab places we've tried. Consistency is hard to find and they absolutely nail it. Another favorite of ours is the Koobideh Combo, which includes both Beef and Chicken Koobideh Kababs served with Mediterranean salad and your choice of basmati rice or rice mixed with lentils and raisins. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It's no surprise that so many customers become regulars. The restaurant is usually packed during lunchtime, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We typically arrive around 11:30 AM to beat the lunch rush and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. If you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food, friendly service, generous portions, and great value, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's one of those hidden gems that keeps us coming back every time we're in Costa Mesa.

It honestly felt like the plate was mostly rice rather than a chicken shawarma plate. As well the pita bread does not seem freshly made but packaged taken out of a bag from a market. The hummus and tzatziki were also very watery and lacked the texture I expected. I tried the cucumber refresher as well, which was okay, but it had a noticeable tap-water taste that made it less enjoyable. What bothered me most was the service. When our server asked if everything was okay, I politely mentioned that there was very little chicken on my plate. Instead of acknowledging my concern, offering an explanation, or trying to make it right, he simply walked away. Why ask how everything is if you're going to ignore the answer? Unfortunately, I left feeling like I basically paid for a plate of rice. I was full, but mostly because of the mountain of rice, not because I received a satisfying chicken shawarma meal. Between the portions, watery sauces, and dismissive service, this was a disappointing experience.
