    Chicken Doner Pide
    Shirley W.

Stopped by here for lunch, honestly the setup lowkey reminds me of Subway lol. Seats available for eating in since it wasn't too busy, or it's also one of those places you just wanna grab and go. I got the Chicken Doner Pide and my bf got the Mixed Doner Wrap. It didn't take too long for assembly and preparing, service is quick! First look, the portion is quite huge. I was only able to eat half my sandwich lol. So I got to save the other half for another lunch! The flavors were pretty good! The peppers were pretty strong in spice, which was a pleasant surprise as well. The pide is essentially a sandwich, so the bread was also perfectly toasted. Overall, very solid spot! I never had something like this before, so it was a nice place to try.

Another night of take out and decided to get some Turkish food! The parking is always challenging but somehow we always find a spot. The restaurant itself is clean. The staff very friendly. We love their breads even when we don't get a meal but we were set for a meal this round. I ordered the beef doner plate with the sauce on the side. The meat was freshly trimmed and the plates are always overflowing. They don't skimp on portions at all. As always the flavor is just what I was looking for. Delicious!

The chicken wrap today really hit the spot today and it was huge! The sauces were amazing and the pickled onions/fresh veggies balance the tender chicken really well. I went before lunch so service was fast and easy. Casual place for workers on their lunch breaks to grab a hearty meal. Great food and very reasonable prices.

Great food and super friendly. Used to come a lot during HS but it's been a while. Got the mixed plate although I think I like the chicken better here. Added oil and vinegar to salad which I recommend. Extra onions. Their desserts look good too so gotta come back to try

Ikram Grill is a Fountain Valley staple for Turkish food. I stopped by on MLK Day for lunch and there were a lot of people coming and going, most of them taking it to go. I know they're famous for their shawarma so I opted for the beef doner pide which comes with an insane amount of meat all packed between flatbread that's put in a panini press after you decide which toppings you want. I got everything except pickles and the sandwich was near exploding. However, the meat was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be, considering it looked so juicy. I also got the mixed doner plate for my brother which is why I know the chicken is better than the beef. It was surprisingly more tender and flavorful. I chose a dessert based on the worker's recommendation and she said her favorite was the triangle baklava, I think. It wasn't the most popular one but since it was filled with cream it added an extra depth to the crispy phyllo dough. It was pretty empty inside since the workers efficiently got everyone's orders out quickly.

After a long day of softball we tried Ikram Grill and it did not disappoint. Food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Restaurant was nice and clean. Employees were very helpful. We ordered the 3-Chicken Doner Wrap, 7-Chicken Doner Pide, 10-Beef Doner Plate, and the 17-Beef Ikram Special. Everything was solid. The meat was cooked just right, seasoned well, and portions were really good. The #10 beef doner plate was probably my favorite simple but really tasty. The Beef Ikram Special with fries definitely hits if you're hungry. Overall, really good spot. I'll definitely be back

Mixed doner wrap was well versed and filling for only $14 wrap. Recommend this Turkish restaurant as they have amazing desserts and unique RTD options.

Amazing hospitality and food! It's so hard to find proper Turkish food in Orange County because everyone uses doner/shawarma interchangeably even when it's not actually Turkish. Anyway, my boyfriend and I both ordered pide sandwiches, one mixed and one beef, and they were DELICIOUS. Massive portions too, the pictures I added don't do the size justice. Meat was well seasoned with the proper spices for Turkish flavor profile. Bonus points for having fresh bread as an option for our sandwiches, and being able to customize toppings. The veggies were fresh and they have so many delicious sauces, including hummus- to dress your sandwich. We were so stuffed halfway through our sandwich & my leftovers were enough for a large snack later on in the day. Aside from plates, wraps, and sandwiches, they also offer Sutlac, various phyllo and katayifi pastries, lentil soup, etc. Ikram Grill lives up to the hype, and even commuting all the way from Buena Park, we thought it was 100% worth it and would absolutely come again.

A small, quick doner stop with a straightforward menu. Choose a protein (beef *loaded* with lamb fat, chicken, or falafel), a vehicle of delivery (wrap, pide bread, or French fries), and inhale. Counter service is fast and succinct, just tell them what number on the menu you want and what toppings to not put on, and let them work their magic. It's a small and narrow eatery without any frills, but it really doesn't need any. We wanted to try both meats so we got a combo wrap and a combo pide. Everything was delicious but when we come back I'm definitely getting a beef pide, it's super fatty and juicy and flavorful and much more filling than the wrap. Veggies and sauces were tasty and gave the right amount of lube; I'm not big on onions but their pickled onions were sweet and not too powerful. The baklava were delicious, the kadayif was crispy and sweet without hurting your mouth, and the carrot slice baklava was almost oppressively sweet but hit the spot. It's overall an unassuming spot good for a quick informal meal. 1000% worth checking out, we'll be back regularly. I'm curious about the sodas and yogurt drinks in their cooler I've never seen before.

Beef doner on the special bread was amazing! I let them choose the sauces and I got it dressed with everything! Service was friendly, I only wish they had a spot closer to me.

Honestly this place is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but those are always the best! It's very homey and authentic, but the food is great! Aesthetic & Ambience: 6.5/10 minimal aesthetic with portraits and artwork on the walls, but I enjoyed the open roasting meat, and service line style options when creating my dish. I went during lunch so it was mainly everyone on lunch break, a little hustle and busy with food delivery services rotating. Chicken Doner Pide: 9.5/10 the chicken was so tender and juicy, and the bread was pressed perfectly. The toppings were whatever veggies and then some you wanted, but this was definitely one of the best pide's I've had. IMO go with the chicken over beef on this one! Turkish Pistachio Baklava: 7.5/10 was very good, just very sweet. It is DRENCHED in honey, and it doesn't look like it until your first bite; make sure to grab plenty of napkins!

Ikram Grill is a Turkish doner casual self-seat restaurant. They have Pide (I call it a Turkish torta). If you're familiar with Mexican bolillo or telera - the bread is similar and they stuff it with 2 choices of meat - chicken or beef. You can also get the meat over a bed of rice with a bunch of savory fixings on top. One thing to note is that they do cook the beef doner with lamb fat - so it does have that lambey/gamey taste to it. I don't think it's the case with the chicken. My favorite thing about this place is how freshly the Usta slices the meat onto your plate in front of you. They also have fresh Simit (Turkish bagel), which they tend to run out of pretty early in the day. We love to eat it at home for breakfast with Kaymak (from next door's Hamle Market) & honey with some hot Turkish tea. Yum! They also offer a variety of typical Turkish syrupy/cheesy desserts - which again they sometimes run out of. The Turkish coffee is not my favorite here or really anywhere but my house lol. I made this comment to one of my Turkish friends and she said that in Turkey that tends to be the case - where the coffee is always better at home. The Parking lot is shared with Hamle Market and another kebab place but I've never had problems finding parking. I'm sure the meat is not as delicious as you'd find in Turkey, but this is probably the next best thing. Try it!

I ordered a mixed chicken and beef doner plate ($19) which comes with lettuce, tomato, red onions, cucumbers, pickles, and peppers topped with three different sauces + hot sauce. The assembly is quick and customizable like a Mediterranean Chipotle. They give a good sized portion. The meats were tender, soft and flavorful, and the sauces added a nice creamy mix to the bite. I wasn't a fan of the plain white rice though as I prefer basmati saffron rice with this dish.

    Yes, its halal by machine.

Do they have tables for eating inside?

Yes, there are some tables inside, but on busy days it can get a bit difficult to find seating for more than 1 or 2 people.

What are your Vegetarian options? Do you have any gluten-free options ? It all looks wonderful!

They have falafel, I think that's vegetarian

    Do you accept cash?

    Yes, we do

Is both the beef and chicken hand slaughtered hallal?

JAK for the question, I was looking for the same answer. FYI, machine slaughtered is also deemed zabihah, so the question is valid and people are looking for the answer, no need for snarky comments

No, it is made with a lot of butter

    Is the meat halal-certified?

Yes. Verified as an approved establishment of serving only halal meat. Also bearing the seal upon entry.

It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.

I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top.
