Vegan falafel wrap with tahini sauce and hummus spread.

This place is located at an outside food court type setting in Irvine. I love that there was a vegan option. The falafel wrap was good and filling. Service was fast.

One of the vendors in the Trade food hall. Casual, communal, open atmosphere that gets very busy during the lunch rush on weekdays. Order at the register, they give you a transponder, and it beeps when your order is ready. They were giving away free samples when I went, and were obviously very eager for business. Friendly service, and they accommodated me given that I didn't want any of the sides that came with the bowl I was ordering. I'm not too exotic when it comes to my diet, and I didn't recognize the side offerings. They charged me less for a bowl with no sides, which I appreciated. I mixed the base between fries and lettuce, and got beef doner as my meat choice. A couple pita chips and yummy yogurt garlic sauce on top. I enjoyed it and felt it was an almost fair amount of food. You're going to pay a premium for small meals from vendors at Trade, and this was reasonable at "only" $14 including tax and small tip as of July 2025.

Fast service and amazing kabob. Got it with the spicy mayo and French fries. Tasted just like the ones I get in France! Ambiance is nice and clean. No long waiting time and the staff was friendly.

We ate here for lunch today and had a great experience. We ordered a beef fladenbrot which is more of a German style of doner and it reminded me of when I was there a few years ago. The gentleman at the front was very nice and speedy, as he was also the cook. He turned out a perfectly crispy fladenbrot and their lamb/beef mixture has great flavor. If you don't like the gameyness of lamb, I wouldn't recommend it, but they have chicken as well. The sandwich was well balanced and a huge portion for the price. After half, I was already satisfied. They also offer Iskender for those who like tomato sauce or prefer this over traditional doner.

I came to the food hall where this is located. The worker was friendly and had some samples available to try which was helpful. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was a little different than what I was expecting. Not sure if it was the way the chicken was carved or the presentation of the plate, but I wasn't too impressed. The flavor was just somewhat bland. I probably should have looked at photos before ordering because their wraps look better.

I got the iskender with beef doner, cacik, and fries, and it was soooo good. I came on a weeknight and it wasn't too busy. The food came out fast and the iskender was literally the hottest takeout I've ever touched, so I knew it was freshly prepared. The meat was tender and flavorful, the pita was fluffy, and the cacik was delicious. The fries had some seasoning on it and we had them with feta sprinkled on top. I think it was supposed to have sauce on it but they forgot. Either way, the fries were delicious when dipping it in the cacik. Overall a filling meal and I'll be a repeat customer!

Grabbed a quick bite here. They had some samples out which was nice. Had the chicken wrap and did try the beef wrap sample which I wasn't crazy about. It's was ok had fries which weren't great and he gave me a soda with no ice. I'm pretty picky about kabob places as there are some really great ones close by so I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here

Today I had my lunch from this place. Taste of the food I don't like. I tried so many kebab places around here. All of them are very good, You guys have to improve your food taste. Sorry I'm not being rude but helping you to telling my honest opinion. I just got a one meal from you I could eat only few bites guys. Because taste of the food I did not like. Thank you for your service..

Mito's doner in Irvine is a place I've ordered from many times, and I've also dined in once or twice. Their service is consistently pleasant--staff is friendly, and the food is always packaged well for delivery. I've never had a quality issue when ordering online, which is rare for places that offer delivery, but I have noticed some inconsistencies in portion sizes and how they prepare certain meals. Looking at the chicken kebab bowl, the first thing that stands out is that while the chicken itself is well-seasoned and has a great texture, there just isn't much of it. The pieces are small, chopped up, and laid thinly over a significant amount of rice. While the rice is fluffy and cooked well, it feels like filler rather than a core part of the meal. The included vegetables--diced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions--are fresh and add some needed crunch and acidity to the dish. However, they are more of a garnish than a substantial component. The pita triangles are a nice addition, but they aren't enough to make this meal feel truly balanced in terms of protein to carb ratio. If you're ordering this expecting a hearty kebab plate with a substantial serving of meat, you might be disappointed. The flavor is definitely there, but the portioning makes it feel light, and it may not be enough to satisfy someone looking for a filling, protein-packed meal. On the flip side, the chicken doner wrap is absolutely packed with flavor. This is the standout item and the one I always lean towards when ordering from Mito's. Unlike the kebab bowl, the wrap is loaded with chicken, seasoned well, and mixed with a great balance of fresh vegetables and sauce. The bread is perfectly grilled, giving it a satisfying crunch on the outside while remaining soft and pliable enough to hold everything together. Inside, the meat-to-veggie ratio is much more generous, with the chicken taking center stage rather than being an afterthought. The sauce adds a creamy, slightly tangy kick that pairs perfectly with the grilled meat. It's the kind of wrap that doesn't fall apart in your hands while eating, which is always a plus. The flavors meld together well, and each bite is rich and satisfying. Compared to the kebab plate, the wrap feels like the better value both in terms of portion and flavor intensity. One thing I've noticed recently is that Mito's doner has significantly increased its prices on DoorDash. While I can't say for certain if in-store prices have gone up as well, the jump in cost for delivery orders was very noticeable. This is something to keep in mind if you frequently order online. The quality of the food hasn't changed, but you're now paying more for the same meal. Mito's doner is a solid spot for Turkish food, with consistently good service and reliable delivery quality. The chicken doner wrap is the best option for a satisfying, flavor-packed meal, while the kebab bowl, while tasty, falls short in terms of portion size. If you're looking for a well-seasoned meal with generous portions, go for the wrap. If you don't mind a lighter, rice-heavy dish, the kebab bowl is still enjoyable, just not as filling as you might expect. The recent price increase on delivery apps is something to be aware of, but if you're willing to pay a bit more for convenience, Mito's doner remains a reliable choice for Turkish flavors in Irvine.

I should have gone to Tuk Tuk Thai. I was eager to try something new at TRADE and remembered that I had seen good reviews of Mito's Diner Express and figured I'd give them a try. I decided to try a wrap, which was a little pricey, but looked promising on the menu picture. Expectations vs reality. I have no idea what was in the picture because it sure did not resemble what I received. Very little meat, some lettuce, tomatoes and onions, all wrapped up in what seemed to be a tortilla - not even lavash! It hadn't even been grilled so it was just soft and tasteless. The chicken was very salty - not a good sign when you're relying on salt for flavor. If it was under $10, I wouldn't have expected much, but this was $15.99 - almost $20, with tax and tip. I hate writing bad reviews for small businesses, but this was the most disappointing meal I've had in years. If you're thinking about coming here and trying your luck, DO NOT order the wrap. The bowl or plate is probably a better bet because they won't be able to give you see the pathetic amount of food that I received because it would be visually obvious. Giving it two stars because the guy at the counter was nice. It's not his fault the food was so sad.

    1. The bowl was flavorful and had good cuts of meat! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes as it is located in a food hall! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! It took about 10-15 mins! 4. Parking can get crowded on the weekdays after 11:30 pm! Note: You can do half beef and half chicken for the bowl! Photo: Soda, Falafels, Beef/Chicken Doner Bowl

While looking for a quick late-night meal, we ended up here. We ordered the chicken doner bowl with fries as the base and came with a choice of 3 sides. The food was pretty good and perfect for a quick bite.

It's pretty far from home, but I…read morecould easily work it into the flight path so to speak, between the Tustin REI and 17th Street in Costa Mesa. Located in a small but busy plaza, HOK is a small, potentially packed restaurant with a few tables outside. About half full mid afternoon on a Saturday, i got a table and quickly made a decision to try the combination plate with a chicken and kubideh kabob, with rice. Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

A lot of people I trust have raved about it, and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Our server, Leyla, was great. She took orders for 6 people entirely from memory without a single mistake, all while staying kind, attentive, and composed during a busy service. The food was excellent. The tahdig was crispy, and the stews were rich and homemade, easily some of the best I've had. The koobideh kabob was flavorful and cooked very well, and the chicken barg was equally good. For dessert, the faloodeh had a good balance of rose water, and the Persian ice cream was just as good. I really enjoyed everything about this place and will absolutely be back.

Despite a sign saying 'Wait to be seated,' there was no hostess present. After 5 minutes of waiting, a busboy who didn't speak English attempted to seat us without welcoming us. He barely communicated that no seats were available outside, and when I asked what the wait time was, he could not answer. I found the manager, a Persian lady in her 50s, and asked if she could tell me when an outside table would be available. In a surprisingly snarky tone, she snapped in Farsi, 'You're asking me for the impossible, how do I know how long it's going to take for them to be done? Do *you* know how long it's going to take for them to be done?' I was shocked. Obviously, the answer to a question like this is a standard 15 to 25 minutes of wait time, but unfortunately, she chose a much harder and completely unnecessary response pattern. I told her that this is no way to speak with a customer and started to walk away, choosing to take our business to Caspian Restaurant instead. Unbelievably, she then yelled after me, 'Excuse me, I asked you a question, why are you walking away?' to which, of course, I did not respond. I feel everybody should know about this because a restaurant in such an expensive location needs customer service as its foundation to get repeat clients. It's very unfortunate that this happens to restaurants where the owners are silent and hire the wrong managers--managers who can't handle stress well, or who feel their outdated customer support still holds up in 2026. Unless they change their management style and make a visible change, I would strongly discourage anyone from needing to experience the same.

Before you visit, keep these things in mind: 1. This is a ghost kitchen, not a full-service restaurant. It's best for takeout and delivery. There are only a few chairs outside--just four in total. 2. Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site. Regarding the food, it was just okay-- a bit underwhelming, especially given that Lebanese cuisine is typically so flavorful. The chicken was dry, the hummus lacked depth, and the rice was bland. That said, the fattoush salad, one of my favorites, was very good, with a delicious dressing. Overall, I can't say I'd return. The prices were quite high for the portions, and the quality didn't meet my expectations. If you're looking for a quick Lebanese meal, this place is a decent option, but don't expect much more than that.
