My daughter went there for her first MRI and, as a parent, that can make you a little nervous because you are not sure how they will handle someone who has never done it before. The staff was very accommodating and took the time to explain the process to her so she knew what to expect. They were patient and made sure she felt comfortable before getting started. They also allowed me to be near the room to help her through the process, which I really appreciated. Those small gestures make a big difference when your child is going through something new or a little intimidating. Overall it was a positive experience and the staff made a situation that could have been stressful much easier.

    Beware of their billing practices. After my visit in…read moreOctober 2025 I overpaid and was owed a refund. Instead of issuing it their billing company MSN Healthcare Solutions actively attempted to collect an additional $262.35 I did not owe -- while simultaneously holding my money. My insurance company had to intervene four separate times over seven months to resolve this. Each time a refund deadline approached Pueblo submitted a new corrected claim deliberately resetting the clock. One claim was denied due to their own filing error. They ultimately reduced my refund through improper billing code unbundling. When I filed a BBB complaint their response repeatedly characterized this as a simple premature billing statement -- a dishonest minimization of a deliberate pattern of delay and predatory collection practices. They never took accountability. Know your rights as a patient. Verify every claim with your insurance company. Do not pay anything without confirming with your insurer first. What they did to me they are likely doing to others who don't know to fight back.

The desert landscaping is cute and well-maintained! Inside, the building is spacious, clean, plus staff is friendly, and always willing to help. Most recently, I had a CT scan with dye and this was my first. The CT scan dye is different than an MRI with dye, so FYI. Part of the prep was to drink lots and lots of water starting an hour before the procedure and then again more water afterwards, including bringing a water bottle with me. Since I was wearing stretchy clothes, I could keep them on and only needed to take off any metal, including my bra. There are numerous lockers in the imaging waiting room, that I could lock away my bra and water bottle, then take the key with me. I always take my purse/valuables into the imaging room. Once in the room, I signed some paperwork, and the attendant asked if I had allergies and on rare occasions, a person could be allergic to the iodine dye used on the CT scan. She administered an IV on my selected arm (right) and when it was time, ran a little contrast into my vein to test and all was good (if there was a reaction, an itchy feeling in my throat could come up). When the full contrast is injected, I experienced a warm feeling all over. It faded within a minute or two, and then I just felt myself again. The CT machine is a donut vs an MRI tunnel. The CT machine is very fast; the whole procedure took about 15 minutes. There is a computer voice that talks and tells me what to do as the table gets pulled in and out of the donut. "Breathe in and hold it", then release. I had to do this multiple times. Also, the attendant guided me to put my arms above my head before everything started. I had a headrest and a leg rest. It was very comfortable.

I will never go to them again.

I had a wonderful technician named Jamus that went above and beyond to help me get it done. He did everything politely and professionally and let me sit and relax in a quiet room and made it happen with his kindness and expertise. The first time, my appointment was canceled and rescheduled on the day of the appointment. After waiting a month for the new appointment, I just received another cancellation notice at 6:00 PM on a Friday for a Monday appointment. Since the office was closed for the weekend, there is no way to speak with anyone or reschedule until Monday. Scheduling has been frustrating throughout the process. I also experienced issues where my appointment was initially entered incorrectly, creating insurance coverage problems and confusion about costs. When I called for assistance, it often felt like the representatives were reading from scripts and were unable to address my specific questions or resolve the issues efficiently. I understand that occasional scheduling changes happen in healthcare, but canceling patients at the last minute once is disappointing. Having it happen twice for the same type of appointment is unacceptable. After multiple scheduling problems and significant delays, I've lost confidence in the process and will be seeking imaging services elsewhere. I look at the reviews about this place and realize I am not alone in my thoughts about SimonMed. What an embarrassing way to run a business! It's quite obvious nobody over there cares.

I had to cancel and reschedule due to an issue with my schedule--which they allowed me to do easily. When I checked in, they accidentally gave me new patient paperwork as opposed to paperwork related to a worker's comp case. The staff realized the error immediately and gave me the appropriate forms. I was called to the back and given a few gowns to cover myself for when I went to get the MRI done. It took about 20 minutes and I was able to lock up my belongings in a drawer, keep the key, removed all jewelry, and used the provided headphones to drown out the noise. The tech asked me a couple of times if I was ok with enclosed spaces or claustrophobic, but I was not. I did have a slight cough and he told me to try to control it so that the imaging would come out clear. I was also asked about if I had any pain or if I needed assistance getting on the table (I did due to my injury) and he helped me off and on the table. When it was finished, the tech came in and helped me from the table, took the headphones and cleaned up the area (since I was the last appointment of the night). I got dressed and had the staff member at the front make me a CD of my images and she also provided me with a link to make my own sign in for their portal. Honestly, it was pretty professional and easy to deal with the staff at this location. The only hiccup was when I first signed in for my appointment. They were pretty quick and thorough when it came to the MRI. If I should need more imaging done, I wouldn't mind coming back to this spot.

She informed me that they only had one technician available today. This location specializes in performing X-Rays and MRIs. They had water and a TV in the waiting area. Once I was taken to the back, the technician proceeded with the X-Ray procedure. However, we had very limited interaction. I attempted to engage in conversation, but the technician was not interested. I understand that he was focused on his work, and I appreciate his professionalism.

I explained that I was notified they received my orders and I needed to schedule an appt for July. She explained that my two tests would need to be scheduled back to back and that the schedule was full for July. I explained that I was just starting a new job and my insurance will be changing and I don't have my new insurance info yet. She was very reassuring and said that I could call back just as soon as I have the info and ask for her and she will help me get scheduled. My Dr. order is good for a year so there should not be a gap in my care. I was relieved to hear that and pleased she was so helpful. I feel that she provided excellent customer service and I will definitely ask for her when I call back to schedule my appt. I highly recommend SDMI. They always provide great patient care and excellent customer service. Check them out.

    What should have been a simple MRI turned into an entire afternoon of inefficiency and frustration…read more Prior to arriving at the office, Steinberg employees need to review procedures, ask some medical questions, discuss the scan, etc. This phone conversation took about half an hour the week prior to the test. The next day I received an email to check in on line. That was another half hour or more answering the same questions on the computer. The day before I was to have an MRI at the Sienna location, we received a call rescheduling to the N. Gibson office. Now that I've been rescheduled to a different location, the electronic questions must be answered again. Another 30 minutes or so. Arriving 15 minutes before the recommended half hour early time, there were a couple of people ahead of me at the front desk. When it was my turn to speak with someone, I told them my name and was advised to sit down and we will call you in a couple of minutes (to deal with insurance cards, etc.). One of the receptionists was knee deep in a complicated billing discussion with a patient, and the other was on the computer ignoring people. Seven or eight other patients arrived after we did, and were also told to have a seat, we'll call you. Each of those people were called and I sat patiently waiting. 45 minutes later, as my MRI was supposed to be starting, I went back up to the front desk and again gave my name. The receptionist checked the computer and said I wasn't on the list any more. Not sure what that meant, but we needed to check in, so I was a little more assertive and convinced him to take copies of my ID cards, etc. I have a fairly common first name and, due to HIPAA Privacy laws, staff only uses the first name of the patient when calling them for their scan. This led to a good deal of confusion in the lobby. In the area where scans are done, there is a second waiting room. Upon receiving my gown and socks, etc. I was given a clipboard with more paperwork to review and sign (what was duplicate information previously done multiple times). An employee called my name and walked me back in the direction of the MRI machine, pausing first to review all of the paperwork, signatures, etc. while I waited in my gown and socks. Then told to please go sit back down. All together, this paperwork and check in fiasco took nearly an hour. The MRI was a 20 minute event and done. So arriving at 2:45, we left about 5 pm. We have recommendations for improving the efficiency of the office if anyone in management would care to contact us.

The space is clean when you enter and just has some seating and kiosks for people who I'm assuming are walk ins to use to check in. The cleaners they use are so strong though, not just like bleach smell , but very heavy in fragrance. It made it very hard for me to breath and my nose was running. The tech asked if I was trying not to cry at one point...no just allergic to this space. It if weren't for that it would have been great though. I was called shortly after checking in. I told the phlebotomist I faint easily if I don't have something to lay down on so she brought in a recliner chair. I also let her know I needed a butterfly needle and she accommodated. It seemed she had a to navigate the needle a bit, but I think I was a bit dehydrated. She didn't rush me after and made sure I wasn't dizzy. I appreciated the care she gave me, and how efficient they were. I just don't know if I'd be able to go back because of how intense the cleaners are they use. I had to shower when I got home because my body was starting to itch and my hair stank so bad from the off gassing of it. I don't remember any of the other clinics smelling so strong before.
