This is the second time in 6 months that I have to Steinberg Diagnostic for an preoperative xray and now a CT scan. Both times they said I needed approval from Insurance. I called my Insurance and was told I don't need approval, yet Steinberg said no way. Went to Desert Radiology and gave them my referral and they checked on it, I got the service I needed. Would not reccomend Steinberg to anyone..... read more

This isnt my first review. But so many people use this venue as a place to vent their dissatisfaction. I just want to post my review to mention how truly great everyone is at this location! I was there earlier today and when I left, I called to try to speak to an officer manager but wasn't very successful. It's not fun having diagnostic tests as we all know but it sure makes things alot easier and less stressful when people are so nice. And caring! From the woman at the front desk to the techs in the back. I've been going to this location for years. It's pretty much been consistent! I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone! i HAD A TRANSVAGINAL PELVIC ULSTRASOUND ON 4/02/2026 at Sunset Way. THE EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE. First, they told me to drink 32 ounces of water before the appointment and get there at 8:30 AM. They took be back at 9:10 AM and said I didn't need to have a full bladder. Painful for someone with Interstitial Cystitis. Then the technician put the probe into my rectum instead of vagina - EVEN AFTER I TOLD HER THAT HAD HAPPENED BEFORE AND SHE SAID IT NEVER HAPPENED WITH HER. Lastly, the report stated there were no previous reports of this procedure and I had the same procedure at Steinberg on6/14/2022. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!! read more

Staff is friendly however, I had an appointment at 1:15 and they took walk-ins before me, so now it's 1:45 and I'm still waiting.... I know everyone is short on staff in town in what seems like every industry so waiting would be ok if you were told this at the front desk when you check in. It's not until you get to the person doing the procedure that they tell you they are short staffed. The technician was awesome, the test was quick and easy, it just would be nice to be told they are running a little behind and you can wait or reschedule. Making people wait is not cool and what's the point of an appointment if they are going to take walkins before appointments??? read more

I made an appointment October 9th, 2023 with my Aetna Medicare. My insurance is in network. I went to my appointment on October 18th at 2;55 pm sat in waiting and was called back at 3:20. To be told we can't see you for your pre op chest X-ray today because Aetna doesn't pay us. I call Aetna and have filled a complaint. Aetna doesn't show they have Requested anything for a chest x-ray. So if they don't request it, of course it's not gone to get billed and they're not gone to get paid is what I was told. Sounds like the billing department has a problem.Aetna is opening an investigation as it's SDMI problem. I have always gone there shocked how unprofessional they are. Time to find somewhere else to go. They shouldn't have made appt or call and cancel the appt. Instead of wasting my time. read more

Testing today was quick and painless. Ms. June completed my diagnostic testing every step of the way; she checked in with me about my comfort level, any pain discomfort questions that I may have about the test about to die, or anything else. Unfortunately, there was another woman that was assisting her, and I did not get her name, but she was just as patient and as kind as Ms. June was. read more

Customer service was very horrible, I had an appointment and paid cash for my services. Later, I was approved for Medicaid, and I called the billing department and spoke with a Sarah, and she was very rude and even laughed at me when I asked if she could try and help me out by billing medicade. I understand company policies, and I do not feel as if I was asking for any additional services. I was just hoping to possibly get a refund, but not until it was paid through Medicaid. I got the impression she was LAZY and did not want to hassle with billing. I understand if it is something that just couldn't be done; however, in this case, I think it's something she just didn't want to do. Steinberg has decided that of March 1st 2004, they no longer offer MRIs to patients with defibrillators. They used to do it but have now decided to turn their backs on cardiac patients. They're also lying on the phone and saying it's their machines; that's a blatant lie. read more

Watch out for this place. I asked them to do a pre authorize in October so I know how much to pay before procedure. I get there, pay half then get a bill 3 months later for the entire almost $800 total for procedure! I would not have had that procedure had I known and they knew it so they sucked me in and lied about cost. They never bothered to tell me what the entire total cost was! I'll never go back. I told my Dr about it today so they refer people elsewhere. read more

If you use a walker avoid this place. I went for an MRI and discovered that they have the smallest MRI machine made. I could not use it and had to reschedule at another location. If the appointment is for anyone other than a child, I would avoid this location. The building is very old with two hallways to get to the lobby , so if you are handicapped be aware. read more

The sign in process was very smooth. I got my sedative (I'm extremely claustrophobic) & the woman was helpful & understanding. Then I went into the MRI room- the tech was also very helpful & understanding as I didn't respond well & had difficulty with the machine, checking on me frequently, taking care of it when the music stopped during the procedure, and pulling me out when I freaked out at the beginning, giving me time to calm down and try it again. I still hate MRI's and am hoping that they will get an open MRI machine, but considering what it is, and how kind, helpful, and understanding everyone was, it was 1 of the easiest MRI's I've had to have, and that's saying a lot read more

This place right here!!! I've been to several of the Steinberg locations and have great things to say about them all... but this one..... this one should get 6 STARS! They're amazing! I recently had to take my 4 year old daughter for imaging... as nerve wrecking as it already is to need these types of medical tests, it's even more stressful when it's your child! They were so great with her! Super friendly staff and they have her a Princess gown with a cape!! Maybe all locations do that, I've only taken my daughter to this one but it made our entire 3 time experience so much more pleasant!! I should probably remember to add that the wait times at this location were WAY shorter than when I've gone to other ones in the past! I honestly can't say enough about this location and it's staff! Keep it up! We will be back, I'm sure. Lol. read more

Great place to have any kind of X-rays or MRI's or pet scans done. Even a port implant for chemotherapy! Excellent job!! I have had my port in for over a year with no problems at all!! Wonderful place if you have to have stuff like this done the people are very friendly and caring. And they take special care working with people who have cancer! I got a next day appt, reason is 1 would be less, Bernadette my appt was 5:30p I arrive 5:23p however no Hi how can I help you, being in the lobby she was on her cell phone. I have my name she chose to tell me I'm late was to arrive at 5, I would have to wait for others just rude. As I ask was she the supervisor she responded God No. Once I realize she was front desk and being rude and bitter, speaking to me stating you have to do paperwork and I'm putting the tech behind. My copay I did not meet my deductible so my insurance said once they submit the claim the contractual amount is my 20 percent, she said no I owe 376 do I want to proceed, stated unbelievable they didn't tell me. Bernadette is first point of contact, maybe she needs time off. She talk to her kids or girlfriend like that but no need to be rude . read more

What a joke. They hammer you to show up 30 minutes before your appointment. I showed up 32 minutes before and they tanked me for being on time. I was one of 3 people in the waiting room. Now, an hour later, I'm still sitting here and have had 18 people show up and be taken in, including a walk in woman who clearly stated she did not have an appointment when checking in. Then they ask you to sign a sheet saying you will be responsible for $250 if you miss or show up late but they disrespect your time by making you wait over an hour. Staff is friendly but disrespectful of patient's time while demanding respect for theirs. Very elitist thinking. read more

I came to this location a few months ago for some X-rays after a car accident. This time I came in for an MRI. The front desk staff has always been so helpful and patient each time I've come in. There was an issue with some of my paperwork and they took the time to get everything situated and even called me before my appointment to make sure everything was set and good to go. I went to get an x-ray on my hand. The staff was very nice however all of the x-ray machines appeared to be down. They have been having troubles with them all morning. They should've called me and let me know instead of me wasting my time. They asked me to wait around for an hour where the technician fixed the x-ray machine. Are they kidding? It was a very frustrating morning. So Steinberg diagnostic got back with me in a very timely fashion. They listen to my concernsI did the best they can to address the problem with the x-ray machine. They took me in the next day to get the x-rays completed. I'm there for going to change the rating from one start to three stars. The x-ray techs continue to be very kind and nice. read more

The neurologist continues to seek the root of my pain so again he ordered another round of images to be taken. I called ahead of time to make an appointment for this procedure. From the customer service agent that made my appointment for the procedure to the staff in the office I could not of felt more comfortable. When I arrived at the office the huge glass doors slide open and the cool air is so welcoming. The positive vibes feel so impressive and strong here. The waiting area has tele's so that patients may be occupied while waiting for their name to be called. Check in went smooth and was extremely pleasant. I did not wait more than ten minutes in the front before being shifted to the back where they verify the insurance and make sure you are in fact the patient. One must always remember there insurance card and identification for if not they will turn the patient away. After the insurance and identity verified then the wait for the tech begins. i did not wait long in this second waiting room and it is off to get the images done. As the technician guides me back to where the X-rays are to be taken the beautiful art work that adorns the walls here is so moving and powerful. The images are of the Valley of Fire. This is a beautiful national park here. The images on the wall convey such a feeling of power but project healing and comfort to the patient. This is important I believe it makes the patient feel calm. For this procedure I had to remove all metal so as not to mess up the images or injury myself. I was given a locker and even a small room to change in. The changing rooms are very large and so are the lockers for your clothing. During the X-ray procedure since this was full body it was very awkward, but the technician made sure that I was comfortable and safe physically and mentally during his bending and shaping to get the images the doctor needed. After all said and done I am so happy with the experience here with my X-rays that anytime I need some inside images done I will get them done here. read more

I was scheduled for a MRI with sedation because I am very claustrophobic. Unfortunately my ride had left and could not be reached to confirm my safe pickup. Roxana said " come on we can get you through this without sedation", you can do this. Brittany the technician to perform the MRI was super encouraging and helped me get through the procedure. I came in for a chest x-ray , no appointment for this service, at noon. I was told that the technicians were going to lunch come back at 1 pm. I waited in the parking lot for the hour. I came in at 1 pm only to find that 6 people were already in front of me and I would have to wait another hour. So much for creditably with the front desk! Very unhappy read more

They are incredibly disorganized and their scheduling is terrible. They canceled me, rescheduled me, all for me to show up and my appointment was actually canceled. Their communication system is terrible. I do not recommend. read more

I usually prefer the Sunset location because some of the staff at the Siena Heights location have been rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Especially an employee by the name of Christian who chose to be angered by the fact that my doctor forgot to mark "right" or "left" on my X-ray order. He yelled "I don't have time to deal with this" and proceeded to throw my paperwork across the counter at me. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience today at the Sunset location with an employee named Ruth. I arrived for my appointment at 6:30 as instructed. Ruth unlocked the door and when I asked if I should take a seat her response was, "well obviously I'm not on the other side of the counter yet." How was I to know she would the only employee there at the time? Her poor and inappropriate attitude continued through the rest of my time there. This included giving misinformation about my doctor's ability to access my images. It's unfortunate that people in pain and discomfort have to be met with this type of behavior. Ironically, when I asked Christian who his superior was he told me her named was Ruth. Makes sense now. read more

One of the fun things about "adulting" is that eventually you will need to visit places like this for image testing. I came here for a mammogram and since it was my first, I had all sorts of mixed emotions before arriving. Normal medical facilities request for you to arrive early to fill out paperwork and this place is no different. When I arrived Beth (I think that was her name) greeted me with a warm smile, asked for my information, and proceeded with my check in. Eventually I met Jessica who was the mammogram tech. The second person I met who seemed so genuinely friendly. Jessica explained the images that were going to be taken, calmed my nerves, and boom before I knew it, we were done. After that, I met Debbie, the ultrasound tech. When Debbie met me she apologized for the wait (which let me tell you it wasn't long) and then she proceeded to do her part. The great thing about Debbie was that she was having a conversation with me about tips and best practices and it felt like two women just chatting. All my images were done and I proceeded to leave. As I was leaving, Beth from the front desk said "Bye Lisa, have a good day!" Let me remind you, this is only my second time here. You always get the good feels when people address you by your name. Overall, my nerves and stress were relieved by this great team of individuals so I wanted to take the time to say thank you Steinberg Imaging! Hopefully, I don't have to come back, but if I ever do ... definitely coming to this location. read more

Once again I called STEINBURG THIS TIME , having nausea vomiting and pain and I let the girl on the phone know. . It was at least two weeks before they could perform a simple ultrasound on my abdomen, even though I was willing to go to any location. My referral from my doctor was written for STEINBURG. My insurance allows me to go to other centers. I then called a center called Simon Med. They were very nice on the phone and the girl was able to get me in a Green Valley location in two days. Other locations will accept your doctors referral if it's written on the letterhead of STEINBURG!!! It was no problem and I got my ultrasound done. If STEINBURG is so busy and they can't get sick people in, why aren't they letting people know this and referring them out to other centers, so that they can get the care they need? The doctors are responsible for this too. I've had a stat referral for a CAT scan before and it still took me a week to get into STEINBURG. The ultrasound I received at Simon med was of the highest quality and the tech was professional and very experienced. I am an RN and I was impressed at the extensive abdominal ultrasound that I was given And my doctor is happy as well! If you can not get in, please call your insurance provider, or simply call another center in Las Vegas that does imaging and ask them if they take your insurance! There is no need to wait on STEINBURG to have time for you!!! read more

I had my follow up visit yesterday, and I have to say...this visit wasn't as smooth as the last one, but it ended up being a good example of customer service. I got in about an hour before my appointment time, and signed in. I waited about 20 minutes before being called up to fill in some paperwork for the new test. Not bad, considering it was packed and I was early. I was taken back and given a gown and a place to change, and told to strip just from the waist up. I asked if they were sure, because I was supposed to have another transvaginal ultrasound, and the last time, I got completely undressed. That's when the trouble started. I was told that there was an issue, that I had a balance on my account, and that I would not be able to have the test done. I'm not going to get into all of the details, but after speaking to a girl at the front desk, and a billing supervisor, we got things taken care of, with minimal crying on my part. I have to give kudos to the girl at the front desk...I wish I had her name...I was NOT nice at this point...having to go in for tests, worrying about my health, pulling teeth at work to get the time off to come in...yeah, I was not pleasant to deal with, and she remained professional the whole time. There was another front desk worker who overheard what was going on, and was very kind, reassuring me that everything would be ok, and they were. For the actual tests, I had Connie, for the ultrasound, who was the same woman as last time. She was great, again. I also had Caroline for my (first ever) mammogram, and she was awesome. She was kind, and put all of my fears to rest about the pain, etc. She checked up on me frequently, making sure that I wasn't in pain, and was personable. Even with the issue that I encountered yesterday, I would still be glad to return here for testing. (Especially since things were resolved, and they provided me with information that I didn't have previously, which caused the issue.) The staff were professional and pleasant, even when dealing with a scared, upset, emotional mess. read more

I was sent here last minute to have a scan performed. I did not have an appointment so I knew I was in for a long wait. To be exact, I checked in around 1:45 pm and ended up leaving around 3:30 pm. There were quite a few patients before me and like I said I did not have an appointment, so I can't really be too upset. The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and efficient with all the patients checking in. The facility itself was clean and an extra plus for the restrooms being clean as well. The nurse who performed the scan (wish I could remember her name) was awesome! She was very sympathetic to my situation and walked me through everything she was doing. She was patient with me even when I kept fidgeting during the scan. After the scan was performed, she explained the results and was kind and knowledgable. I hope I don't return to this place because I hate places like this. But they have some awesome employees that work here that made my experience that much smoother. read more

This place is horrible with keeping your appointment time, their over book patients. I got here at 11:45am for 12:30pm appointment and I didn't call until 1:05pm just for a simple monogram test. There was so many people waiting that I had to wait outside. I was done at 2:15pm. What kills me is I an appointment for 12:30pm and they asked me to be here at 12:noon like if they were going to see me in time. I'll never return here again. I was here at the beginning of this year for a breast ultrasound via my gynecologist because she discovered a lump. The waiting room was not too crowded or busy for a Friday afternoon, plus the wait only took about 45 minutes. The ultrasound took about 5-10 minutes and results came back about two weeks later, saying that they didn't find anything. The front desk lady was super nice about giving me instructions on filling out paperwork and everything. Thank you! The only negative part about this is that the lady that did my ultrasound told my mom that she was not permitted to be in the same room as me when I had to get it done, despite telling her that I have a disability that impairs my speech. Very one is very accommodating and helpfull at this location . I had to do an out if state IVf monitoring basically i needed ultrasound every 2 days and i needed same day appointment in the morning and results called in immediately. Everyone took the stress of my shoulders and did everything on time . I am very grateful, Debbie the technician was very professional and kind . I cannot rave enough about the teamwork, professionalism, and positive culture I observed first hand today at the Steinberg on 4 Sunset Way. The receptionist that checked me in was so incredibly sweet and welcoming, despite my insurance drama that added extra work and time, she was so kind and helpful during all of our interactions. What appeared to be her supervisor was right there helping out wherever she could and was also so positive and sweet, if she is the leader of that office I can understand why there is such a great energy there. To top things off, due to totally unforeseen circumstances with my referring physician/insurance I had to reschedule and the CT Tech happened to be at the front. After letting the group know she made homemade bread for everyone (so amazing) she worked with the receptionist to squeeze me in next week once my insurance authorizes everything. I was very fortunately to get diagnosed with my cancer in an early stage so now I ensure I am beyond compliant with all my diagnostic care which happens frequently. Moving forward, I plan to make Steinberg my new diagnostic center of choice (hopefully always this location) from here on out! read more

I'm watching her help people who can't hear making appointments for them at other locations checking people in getting Referrals Answering phones like a pro. My wife had back to back appointments a week apart for MRIs. On both occasions the wait time was ridiculous. We are currently at the second one and have been waiting 45 minutes to "be called". Why do they make an appointment for 1:30 and at 2:45 still haven't called us, the customer? 10-15 minutes is tolerable, but 45 minutes and now looking at an hour or more!!! So frustrating!! Editing my review. Turns out the delay was due to the doctors office forgetting part of the procedure in the order and not SDMI's fault. When we were brought in the technician was extremely apologetic and explained that he had to wait for approval and hence the delay. Very smooth after that! read more
