They cut the wood and metal outside on the walkway. After hanging the doors, there was a lot of leveling to do that followed by touch up on all the nail marks and gaps in the wall frame. They did an amazing job with the installation and bringing the materials in the living room without bumping into anything. They took about 2.5 hours to complete the installation.

Our installer, Danny Alonzo, was fantastic from start to finish. He has excellent communication skills and gave us a clear, realistic expectation of the time to completion. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional the entire time -- I honestly wish every contractor or vendor we use could be as good as Danny! We picked a custom color and the door came out exactly the shade we chose. It's solid, heavy, and makes a huge difference compared to our old door. We had bought and pre-painted our own interior moulding, and Danny installed it perfectly with no issues at all. I'm terrible at making clean silicone joints around moulding, but he did an amazing, professional job on them. He even went above and beyond when he noticed some stucco damage around the front door. He pointed it out to us and patched it beautifully -- way better than I could have done myself, lol! The finished door looks absolutely beautiful. My wife and I weren't 100% sure what to expect, but the quality and the final result made the entire expense completely worth it. The door feels rock-solid and looks incredible. These windows are still perfect in every way. These woods come with value and reliability. When we added on to our home about 10 years ago, the contractor used their window company. We ordered some custom sized windows to keep consistency with the rest of our home...and those have never been right. A couple years ago the large, back window split in the frame. We had no question that Hometime would replace the window...and it's both well constructed & beautiful, with two perfectly working locks. The install was done by Eduardo and his crew. It was an early morning appointment, but Eduardo showed up in time. Both he and the other installer were friendly, efficient, and clean. They took less than 2 hours, door knock to exit, and left not a scrap or bit of dust in their perfect install. When we consider cost, style, AND locally, independently owned companies, we will have Hometime do all our windows, always. In the future we will also request Eduardo as our installer. Thanks!

We had always wanted the convenience of a screen door for airflow, light and cooling, but have escaped artist pets and still want to feel safe inside. Per AI, a mixed bag of good and bad reviews on Google…read more I'll start the good with Darrell who was the salesperson thar I purchased the door through in January. Yes, there may be the same security door out there for much less, but I trusted him. The agreed installation date would take up to 3 months. Two days before the install date, in mid-April, I wondered why there wasn't any reconfirmation. So a call to their "customer service" I learned the door wasn't even ready yet! But was told it would be ready the following week. Then the installer came out and realized the manufacturer had built the wrong door!! After calling Darrell it was determined it was the factory's mistake. Ross (the installer who works out of California) said he would be back within the next month and I would be first on his list to complete the job. As the revised date, in mid-May (3rd date change by now) approached, their dispatch called and put the installation off by another week. I had a trip planned and could not change so was told it would be June. After another call to Darrell he had a manager call who apologized and he would make sure the door would be installed on the agreed upon date. Instead, they came out the week later while I was out of country. Fortunately I had a family member at the house then and the security door was finally installed - four months after the initial meeting. From the pictures Ross sent to me after he installed the door it looked great. But now they wanted payment of the balance I owed (they take 50% upfront as a deposit which is non-refundable by the way). I told them I wasn't going to pay them from an unsecured site I was at and would pay them as soon as I returned - which I did. All in all, the door looks great and I'm very satisfied with the work Ross did. I appreciate the effort Darrell made to get the door installed. BUT, their customer service is absolutely terrible. They don't answer calls back in a timely manner and their lack of good communications is the worse I have encountered with any contractor that I have worked with. The 4 rating is for the door and the installer. Otherwise I would rate Dan Defenders a 1 for lousy communications and a lack of urgency to help the customer.
