Update:…read more Unfortunately I am changing my review to two stars. Our vinyl floors were complete in March 2023 and initially everything was great like I stated in my original review. We noticed in August 2025 that multiple planks were lifting up when walked on. We reached out to American Floor and Home and they swiftly sent someone to inspect. He was very thorough in his inspection and concerned at the condition of the floors/baseboards considering how recent they were installed. He put a claim in with the manufacturer Cali Bamboo. Since then, we've sent the pictures they requested, had their third party inspection complete, and still nothing has been remedied. We periodically get emails saying American Floor and Home is coordinating with the manufacturer and will receive updates as they come. It's been 8 months since this process has started and nothing has changed except the worsening condition of our floors and baseboards. Besides lifting, multiple planks now have cracks and chips in them. The baseboards continue to split between joints and now even from the wall itself. I've sent footage of the worsening damage and still nothing has been done to remedy anything. We spent a lot of money on this purchase and it's very disheartening that this is the response we are getting. Whether it's a manufacturer's issue or an installation issue, I'd expect some type of plan of action to fix this problem that is only getting worse the longer they delay it. Extremely disappointing.

As a first time home buyer, immediately after their install, I would have given them a 3 or a 4…read morestar rating not knowing any better. 2 1/2 years later I realize I received poor workmanship and service from the get go. They advised my floors might need flattening after the carpet was tore up and that would cost extra. I was price conscious but not once did they say "we strongly recommend flattening your floors and will not stand by our work unless you pay for this extra, but necessary work". They nickel and dimed me to the extent they charged me an elevator access fee. My building doesn't charge for elevator use?! After install the floor popped in many places when you walked, had a few scratches, a custom built closet door was unable to be put back up, the concrete had crumbled and and was never repaired correctly, my washer would not work because the lid was bent while moving it (charged $125 to move and break it) and coincidentally my toilet leaked 6 weeks later into the apartment below. Fast forward 18 months. Kitchen flooring is coming apart, is not waterproof, starting to warp and they will not return calls or emails. DO NOT risk it. They are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Go thru Home Depot or Lowe's. Even if they wind up contracting to Kama'aina Flooring, they will stand by your satisfaction. At least I hope.

When I asked them to mask up, they said it's their "policy" to not wear masks because they can't breathe and the masks make them "sweaty" (so, I guess they only use masks as chin-warmers??). I told them to mask up, I have kids in my house (and it's MY HOUSE; and there's A PANDEMIC GOING ON; and over 500,000 Americans are dead...). They said they expect a property to be vacated when they install flooring. Um........ this is MY HOUSE. I have stuff here. I have a right to protect my stuff while strangers perform work in my house. And furthermore, it takes virus up to 3 hours to die in the air. Has anyone noticed how it's been POURING RAIN EVERY DAY? At least it has in Mililani. Sorry that I don't have a "spare house" to go hang out at for 6-8 hours while you huff and puff without masks in my house, unsupervised. They put on masks but then..... They literally UP AND LEFT. NOT A WORD TO EXPLAIN WHY. Photo shows how they left my floor when they left. I had to contact them through Home Depot (they wouldn't answer my calls or texts). The carpet was installed (finally ---- ONE ROOM took over 6 total hours) but guess what? They TOOK THE REMAINING CARPET THAT I PAID FOR!!
